Story
Please contact Jetta (Jetta.elliott@att.net) for more information about this pet.5 month old female Chihuahua pupyLittle Rio is a five month old female Chihuahua puppy. Her mom was long-haired Chihuahua and Dad was short haired Chihuahua. She is super shy and not a social little girl. She would like a quiet home or she can live on your lap. She’s not looking for a public life. I do take her with me to public places when I go, but she’s not thrilled. She weighs about 3 pounds and I don’t expect she’s gonna get much bigger. We are in Harrison Arkansas, but she could be brought to via the network transport. Inquire at jetta.elliott@att.net.May 18, 2026, 12:43 am

Story
Meet Bashful Bam Bam — a tiny treasure with a huge heart. This handsome purebred Chihuahua is just 1 year old and weighs a petite 12 pounds, making him the perfect little lap companion. With his beautiful white coat, warm brown markings, and soulful, expressive eyes, Bam Bam has a way of melting hearts the moment you meet him. Bam Bam may be a little shy when first introduced to new people, but give him a little patience and kindness, and you’ll quickly discover a deeply loving and devoted companion. Despite a difficult beginning in life — having been left outside in freezing weather by people who failed him — Bam Bam has never lost his gentle spirit or his ability to trust and love. Thanks to the care and affection of his foster mom, he’s learning what it truly means to be safe, cherished, and part of a family. This sweet little guy absolutely adores his people. One of his favorite moments each day is greeting his foster mom when she comes home from work, tail wagging and ready to shower her with unconditional love. After a long day, Bam Bam has a special way of making stress disappear with cuddles, companionship, and his calm, comforting presence. Bam Bam enjoys all the simple pleasures in life — curling up in your lap, going for walks, riding in the car, and spending quality time with his humans. He’s doing wonderfully with the doggie door at his foster home and also reliably uses puppy pads. He gets along well with other dogs and is friendly and respectful with the resident cats, making him an easy addition to a loving home. This little survivor is neutered, up to date on all vaccinations, heartworm negative, and in excellent health. Bam Bam is now ready for the forever home he truly deserves — one filled with warmth, patience, love, and plenty of lap time. In return, he’ll give you endless loyalty, affection, and a bond that only a rescued dog can offer.   Please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com  PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMay 18, 2026, 10:41 am

Story
Once upon a time there was a sad group of chihuahuas that were being used to make ends meet for a financially challenged family in rural Tennessee. The intentions started out good but soon things got out of hand.  Very much out of hand. Patty Cake and all the other Chihuahuas who had produced puppies to sell for income, were in a situation of chaos and unsanitary living conditions.  The humans' marriage broke up and the man walked out and desperation set in. This led to Patty Cake being surrendered to the rescue world and 17 other Chihuahuas escaped a bad life.  We soon learned that Patty Cake was pregnant. No one knew it, because she was so thin from lack of proper food.  She gave birth and lovingly raised one puppy.  Now it is Patty Cake's time to have her future years in the sun and be free of the chore of having babies just to bring in money to live on.  This is a very quiet and pretty 4 year old Chihuahua girl is ready to sit upon her new owner's lap like a little queen watching over her domain.  She is learning about the world outside and is exploring new adventures every day.  We want Patty to be comfortable and happy in a home with no young children who might need to be a bit busy and active.  She needs tranquility, love and patience as she learns what a normal life can provide to her.  She is crate trained and leash trained and housebroken.  She is beautiful and weighs 11 pounds and is still young.  Patty Cake is nice Diva.  A loving Chihuahua who needs a stable and Chihuahua savvy home.  She deserves the good times that we know someone can offer. If you are interested please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com. Please let us know where you live as we do transport out of Tennessee to the northeastern states every weekend.PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMay 18, 2026, 10:41 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.LESLIE was originally saved from a high kill shelter in Texas back in April 2017 and adopted to a family in NH in October 2017. Sadly she was picked up as a stray in April 2026 and after finally being able to reach the owner, they told me they do not want her anymore. It is very important to note that there was also a black chihuahua that was with Leslie but the people who got Leslie wasn't able to get the chihuahua. We have posters up and if the chihuahua is found we will be taking him into rescue and the person that adopts Leslie MUST agree to adopt the Chihuahua also as they were apparently bonded. His lost pet poster is in Leslie's photo's. This will be a condition of Leslie's adoption and will be in the contract. Just 5 days of having Leslie back we had her at Androscoggin vets for blood work, dental and rabies. She had 13 teeth extracted, her blood work came back good, she is heartworm and tick disease negative, she had her rabies vaccine, weighs 15 pounds and we are happy she is a healthy girl who is now pain free having all those rotted teeth extracted. Leslie is a very affectionate girl, she is responsive, walks great on the leash, rides great in the car, takes treats gently, she is food motivated.  Although Leslie, being around 9-10 years old making her a senior she is still a happy active girl and we are looking for a family that is still active and gets out on walks and adventures to ensure this sweet girl gets the best life possible. As a senior, she will need regular vet appointments and her remaining teeth kept clean to keep her mouth healthy and prevent pain and disease. Regular blood work is also recommended to keep an eye on her health. She is medium-long haired and will need to be brushed regular and around her face and private areas groomed. Leslie is available for an adoption fee of $550 Just to reiterate, if the Chihuahua is found, the family WILL be under contractual agreement to adopt the chihuahua also since they were a bonded pair. Adoption Details Location: Dover-Foxcroft, Maine Families must complete and submit an adoption questionnaire. Once approved, you’ll be invited to schedule an appointment to meet Lucy. ⏱️ Applications are generally processed within 24-48 hours Click here to complete the Adoption Questionnaire Want to See More of Leslie?
