Story
Meet Elfie! Elfie is a sweet, gentle three-year-old pup weighing in at 22 pounds, and he's officially on the lookout for his forever family. This little guy is as friendly as they come-he loves other dogs, does wonderfully with cats, and is great with kids. Elfie walks beautifully on leash and is always up for an adventure, especially if it involves a car ride. At home, he's a total gem: fully house-trained, kennel-trained, and eager to please. If you're searching for a loyal companion with a big heart and an easygoing personality, Elfie might just be your perfect match. He's ready to fill a home with love, joy, and plenty of tail wags! https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/NAF/Dog

Story
Fane is a happy, fun little fellow, 2 years old and weighs just 15 lbs. Just look at those big, dark and mesmerizing eyes… If anyone can get a treat from you, it’s sure to be him! Fane loves attention and playing outside (when it is warm enough) and would love a home with another young, small dog to romp around with since he absolutely loves playing with friends! He can be nervous around larger dogs at first and in any case a home with similar sized dog would be best for him. After play he settles down nicely and likes to cuddle too! He is a good boy that ended up at an overcrowded shelter in the south due to no fault of his own. He will be coming to New England in mid-December and is eager to start a new chapter of his young life. If think you might be interested in adopting, fostering to adopt or fostering this sweet little bundle of joy, please contact Village for Paws Rescue at villageforpawsrescue@gmail.com for more information or to fill out an application.

Story
Welcome Missy to CCPAL Rescue Foster program. Missy Gorda is a 2 -year- old Chug (Pug/Chihuahua). She weighs about 13 pounds and appears to be a good weight. She has the Pug body and is thick in the middle. She is very playful with toys. She is in a foster home with a large dog and Minnie and she does good with both. She isn’t a big shedder. She isn’t too vocal which is nice. She can use the doggy door and goes outside to do her business. She came from a hoarding situation and probably hasn’t been held much. She is a little nervous being held and has a bit of a stiff body. She loves her crate and will go to it when she is scared. The crate makes her feel safe. She is a wonderful little dog. She is really doing great in her foster home. We think the best home for Missy is a home with a partially or fully retired person or someone who has a quieter home. She would be great with someone that is more to themselves and doesn’t have a houseful of people everyday. She is a nice dog and when she is afraid she will retreat to her crate. She is getting lots of attention in her foster home and is doing great. She wouldn’t require a huge yard but a fenced one would be best for this girl. She can go with children. We like them to be 8 or older. She is currently in Texas in foster care. She is getting her vaccinations and will be spayed soon. She can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is $400 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions.
