Story
Alex was born around July 1, 2024 and weighs about 13 pounds.  Alex is adorable with his pointy ears and fluffy curled tail! Alex hitched a ride to the rescue with a staff member who brings her dogs to work with her, and although he was a little surprised to find himself in a car with three strange giant dogs and a strange human, he was a wonderful passenger.  Alex lived with children in his previous life, and we are told he is excellent with children, 'as long as they are not hurting him'.  Alex will follow you around the yard doing chores and forms strong bonds with his humans once you give him a bit of time to adjust as he is shy at first.  He walks fine on leash. He is the type that will make sure you never go to the bathroom alone again!  The Adoption Fee for this dog is $500.00 Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. Story
The Kramer family has chosen to sponsor the costs of transport and medical care for the 17 Walworth dogs as a gift in honor of all our fur babies we have lost over the years and all my friends' fur babies that have also crossed the Rainbow Bridge - none will ever be forgotten.  Our wish is that each of the Walworth-furred ones find loving homes where they are cherished.  Love, Cheryl, Dave, Ryan, and Cassie Kramer   Benny, born around August 1, 2020 and weighing approximately 13 pounds, came from a home in the Rochester area that needed assistance with their 30 dogs. The owners welcomed too many dogs into their home and eventually became overwhelmed, leading them to seek help. Benny is a delightful little fellow who loves his humans dearly. He may try to herd them if they stray off course, and watch out for playful nibbles on exposed toes, making him unsuitable for homes with small children. Initially shy around strangers, once Benny warms up to you, he becomes the most affectionate companion, eager to cuddle in your lap after some play time fun.  Benny is house trained but we like to mention that often these small dogs benefit from having potty floor pads handy for those just in case moments.  He's comfortable riding in cars, walking on a leash, and even enjoys kayaking—anything to be close to his people. Benny's cheerful demeanor and compatibility with other dogs, regardless of size, make him an exceptional pet who could easily become your most cherished companion.  Benny is also fine with cats. The Adoption Fee for this dog is $500.00 Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. Story
Meet Angel also known as Annie…. Annie is approximately 2 yrs old and is a chihuahua mix who weighs 16 lbs. Annie and Mocha are pretty bonded and we would love for them to stay together. Annie is fast, friendly, and affectionate. Likes doing zoomies, is crate trained, and mostly housebroken. She gets along with other dogs, likes children, and occasionally likes to tease the cat. It may take a little time for her to trust a new fam.ily, but once you have won her over she will be your best friend. Annie would do best with a fenced in yard as that is what she is used to. Annie is utd on vaccines, dewormed, microchipped and spayed. All current pets MUST be up to date on vaccines and spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason. www.pawzandpurrz.org RR335 Please Note: We are making changes to our Foster to Adopt process. Story
Clancy & Lucille Hi I’m Clancy (with the longer hair). I’m approximately 2 years old. I’m a good boy (kind of). I like to help my foster mom fold clothes which she’s not very appreciative of. I also like to help sweep the floor and I ABSOLUTELY love paper towels… those things are so awesome! I also help mom get her jacket on when she’s heading to work. AGAIN she’s not very appreciative. I probably shouldn’t go with small children cuz I play bite. Foster mom says it hurts and tries to get me to stop, but I think it’s quite hilarious. I’m not fully housebroken, but I am working on it. Soooo let’s talk about my buddy Lucille. Lucille Is also approximately 2 yrs. She’s taking longer to come around. She looks at me for emotional support. She does NOT like the humans to touch her. Heck she doesn’t even want them looking at her. She’s just a fearful little girl who needs time. Foster mom thinks we should stay together even though she knows it’s gonna be tough to find a home that will take us both because of the scaredy-cat. But hey, it’s worth a shot. We are both up to date on vaccines, fixed and have been microchipped. If you think you can give us a loving forever home, please submit an application. PS… because Lucille is a nervous nelly, a secure fenced yard would be best. I’ll admit, I’ll probably be nervous for a few days too. I’m also a ladies man. I’m still getting used to foster dad. He’s ok, but not as cool as mom. All current pets MUST be up to date on vaccines and spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason. www.pawzandpurrz.org RR335 Please Note: We are making changes to our Foster to Adopt process.
