Sweetness got her name because when she loves you she loves you with her whole heart. When I hold her she presses into me and looks up with so much love. She was rescued, along with two others, by SusieQ from a hoarding case. All three dogs from there are not dog friendly but love their people which makes me think she had to fight for everything she got. When Sweetness was rescued she was bone thin, missing most of her fur and had a damaged, infected eye. Since then she has been fully vetted, spayed and had her eye removed. I love this dog so much and only want the best for her. I would keep her for my own but with all the dogs coming and going she is getting more and more stressed. She is afraid of my husband so I think she would make a wonderful ladies companion. Sweetness uses puppy pads but will also go out with me in the fenced in yard to go potty. I have not tried leash walking her. She had a dental last week so her teeth are bright and shiny. She loves to sleep in bed with me and cuddle under the covers. CROSSPOSTING for another rescue group Meet Mister! This is my new foster boy, Mister. I am fostering him for Tall Tails Rescue and Transport. He’s about 2 years old and when you look up “Velcro dog” in the dictionary, you see his picture. He’s a combination of sweet and silly. He gets along just fine with other little dogs and was uninterested in the cat. His favorite obsessions include: 1. Stealing foster moms shoes. Not chewing them, just moving them to a new location. 2. Scaling walls and jumping leaps and bounds to get to his human. (Again, not destructive, he just has a touch of the Single White Female gene. Obsess much?) 3. Chewing his bully stick. 4. Taste testing every single bowl of food, just a nibble. He’s making sure it’s safe to eat. Mister also appears to be housebroken. He has not peed or pooped or attempted to mark in my home. He is a chihuahua mixed with kangaroo. He would love someone to share EVERYTHING with. If you’re doin it, so is he! This cutie pie is Roscoe!  Roscoe is a male, chihuahua/terrier mix, weighing just under 15 lbs. and he is approximately 3 years old. He found himself in a rural Texas shelter after the driver of the car he was in was arrested.  He has been in foster care with other dogs and enjoys running fast, playing with toys, and chewing on sticks. He loves to be cuddled while sitting in his foster parents’ laps. He would do best with another playful dog buddy of similar size with a laid-back temperament. He prefers to eat his meals away from other dogs and isn’t keen on sharing his toys. He is obedient and comes when his name is called. He walks well on a leash, is potty trained and may enjoy agility courses. Roscoe met a kitten at the shelter and appears to do well with cats. He needs a secure backyard with space to run without chain link fencing because can be a clever climber. Roscoe is not a fan of cold weather, but he is perfectly content wearing sweaters. He has a cute alligator grin and an Elvis lip. His black coat is slick and shiny. It appears Roscoe’s tail was broken at some point, but not recently and it does not cause discomfort. His foster home has children ages 7 and 10 and he always greets them seeking affection. Roscoe does his best not to have accidents in his kennel but may need some additional training. He will be leaving Texas soon and coming to Syracuse, NY, hoping to meet his furever family.  Roscoe's adoption fee is $275 which goes towards neuter at our vet, vaccines nad medical care up to adoption, microchip and transportation fees. ##1973173##
