Meet Polenta, a sprightly, sassy senior lady looking for the best furever home! This older lady has clearly lived with other dogs AND ruled the house. She has zero tolerance for silly youngsters (she's definitely the fun police to the foster puppies), and zero fear of anything. No matter the size or attitude of the dog, Polenta will not be standing down. She also loves her people with the same dedication. You want a couch potato to snuggle and pet? Polenta is your girl! In fact, if you aren't paying enough attention to her, she's going to tell you all about it. Have you ever wanted to be bossed around by a tiny tank with no tail and 6 inch legs? Now is your chance! Polenta's got all the love and sass you could ever want! Polenta is potty-trained, spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative, and current on prevention. This girl came to us severely overweight (30lb in a 20lb body) and her foster family has started her on a diet that will hopefully help her lose weight and live longer. This is Hazel. Hazel is tiny and adorable, but she has very specific lists of things she does and does not like. Hazel likes: Slow introductions to new people Playing fetch with her tiny ball Taking VERY long walks Chewing on her tiny ball Belly rubs Ripping the fur off her tiny ball Hazel dislikes: Sudden movements Veterinary care Other dogs Squirrels (must chase) Car rides (but she's working on it) Hazel is a sweet little thing who is fully potty trained and pretty quiet when left to her own devices. She will protect and guard you from everything - strangers, squirrels, other dogs, birds, falling leaves, etc. She is apartment-sized, but not suited to living near lots of strange people or dogs. Hazel cannot live with small children or dogs - she is terrified of them and can become aggressive when scared. We have not tried her with cats, but she has a very strong prey drive, so we wouldn't recommend it. If you decide that Hazel is the tiny terror for you, you will not be disappointed. She will be your only pet, BUT has enough personality for both of you - she is funny, she truly enjoys long walks, and she REALLY loves playing with her ball. Hazel is about 3 years old, about 8 lbs, very active, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and spayed.
