This is Hazel. Hazel is tiny and adorable, but she has very specific lists of things she does and does not like. Hazel likes: Slow introductions to new people Playing fetch with her tiny ball Taking VERY long walks Chewing on her tiny ball Belly rubs Ripping the fur off her tiny ball Hazel dislikes: Sudden movements Veterinary care Other dogs Squirrels (must chase) Car rides (but she's working on it) Hazel is a sweet little thing who is fully potty trained and pretty quiet when left to her own devices. She will protect and guard you from everything - strangers, squirrels, other dogs, birds, falling leaves, etc. She is apartment-sized, but not suited to living near lots of strange people or dogs. Hazel cannot live with small children or dogs - she is terrified of them and can become aggressive when scared. We have not tried her with cats, but she has a very strong prey drive, so we wouldn't recommend it. If you decide that Hazel is the tiny terror for you, you will not be disappointed. She will be your only pet, BUT has enough personality for both of you - she is funny, she truly enjoys long walks, and she REALLY loves playing with her ball. Hazel is about 3 years old, about 8 lbs, very active, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and spayed.

One of their fur siblings was already taken to a shelter, but a kind-hearted Good Samaritan stepped in to give these two a safe, temporary home. Unfortunately, she already has three dogs, so this is not a long-term option. These sweet pups are pee pad trained and love walking on leashes. They are a little shy, especially around men, but with patience and love, they will warm up quickly. Location: Marshville, Union County (about 25 miles east of Charlotte) Please note: We do not transport dogs, so adopters must pick them up in Marshville, NC. Both Toby and Precious are up to date on vaccinations and will be spayed/neutered once adopted.
