Story
Meet Scrappy! Scrappy is an adorable low rider with a heart of gold and a brain to match! Despite his youthful appearance, he's already mastered the art of sitting after just one week in his foster home - a testament to his quick wit and eagerness to please. Found wandering around backyards as a stray, Scrappy was mistaken for a fox pup by his foster mom, and it's not hard to see why with those distinctive features! At 2 years old, Scrappy is as big as he's going to get, but his heart is just as large as ever. He's a social butterfly who gets along famously with both dogs and people, making him the perfect companion for any household. Scrappy's hobbies include going on car rides, cuddling up with his favorite humans, and showing off his impeccable crate training skills. Could Scrappy be the furry friend you've been searching for? Don't miss your chance to welcome this lovable little man into your life!

Story
Meet Annie YOU MUST HAVE AN APPROVED APPLICATION IN ORDER TO MEET OUR PETS. Meet Annie, an adorable 7 or 8 year old Chihuahua weighing 7.6 pounds. Annie has had a challenging past, having been rescued from a rural county shelter along with seven other dogs. Despite her rough start, Annie is a sweet and playful little companion, ready to bring joy to her forever home. Personality: Annie is known for her sweet and playful nature. She enjoys chasing small tennis balls and playing with small toys. Her playful spirit makes her a delightful addition to any household. Compatibility: Annie gets along well with other nice dogs of any size. She would thrive in a home with canine companionship, making her an ideal addition to a family with existing dogs. Her friendly demeanor suggests that she can create lasting bonds with both humans and furry friends. Ideal Home: Annie's perfect home would have a secure fence, as she has an adventurous side. This will ensure her safety while allowing her to explore and play freely. In an ideal world, Annie would be accompanied by her buddy Leo, creating a perfect duo of canine companionship. Health Information: Annie is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and is scheduled for a dental procedure to ensure her continued well-being. It's important to note that Annie, like so many Chihuahuas, has a luxating patella in one of her back legs. It doesn't slow her down, and she shows no signs of discomfort so it is not a problem. Adoption Considerations: Prospective adopters should be prepared for a playful and affectionate companion. Annie's adventurous spirit may require a secure environment to prevent any unplanned escapades. Additionally, her potential adopter should be comfortable with the fact that Annie has a luxating patella, although it doesn't affect her overall well-being at all. If you're looking for a charming and loving canine companion, Annie might be the perfect fit for your family! Adoption donation $250. Please note that we do not ship animals. We also require a home visit before finalizing any adoptions so preference is given to applicants within a 90 mile range. You will be required to come to High Point, NC to meet/pick up your new pet. HOW TO APPLY: 1. Go to www.lppnc.org 2. Click on the "Adoption Application" link on the left side of the page. 3. The application will open as a PDF and you should have the ability to fill it in from that page. Be sure to complete all fields. 4. Save the application to your computer, then attach in an email and send to petprojectnc@gmail.com 5. Someone will review your application as soon as possible, usually within 24 hours, and will be in touch with next steps.

Fattycakes is 14 years old...he is bonded with his 15 year old sibling...she's a wiener terrier mix...very sweet, calm and loving...she tolerates young children, but I'd rather her not be around them...she's pretty much a couch potato lol...she love's attention and back rubs...he's a little feisty but once he gets to know you, he's very sweet and loving...he doesn't get along well with young children but he's fine with older...he's not much of and outside dog but he does like to run around in an open space...he's crate trained...he loves lots of attention and he likes to go on car rides...please let me know if you need additional info...Thank you❤️
