Story
Hi!  My name is Julio, a Chihuahua mix.  My vet estimated year of birth is 2013, but don't let that stop you.  I may be a little older, but I will make a great companion for some very lucky person.   I was rescued from a hoarding situation along with my brothers and sisters.  I'm looking for a forever home where I can relax and be the lap puppy I was meant to be.  I'm low key.... a little timid, but really loving once I get to know you.  If you're interested, fill out an adoption form for me and someone will get in touch with you for a meet and greet. ~Adoption donation $150 . All vetting is up to date. Microchipped and neutered. Also on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Story
Sugar Chi is a 14 year old female senior Chihuahua, but don't let her age fool you.  She is still very healthy and active.  She would like to be held most of the time, but she's pretty independent, too.  As with many little older dogs, she can be a little nervous and she doesn't like for you to get in her face.  Don't know how she is will cats or kids.   ~~ Adoption donation $ 200. All vetting is up to date. Microchipped and spayed. Also on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Story
🐾 MEET BIG BOY (AKA BONES!) — A LITTLE DOG WITH A WHOLE LOT OF HEART 🐾 8 years young • 28 pounds • Professional snuggler • Expert sidekick Looking for a loyal companion who will make you smile every time you walk through the door? Meet Big Boy, affectionately known as Bones by his foster mom! This sweet, 28-pound gentleman is hoping his next move will be into a forever home of his very own. ❤️ Don’t let his age fool you—Bones still has plenty of pep in his step! He enjoys daily walks, exploring new places, and can even keep up on an hour-long walking trail. He’s housetrained, walks nicely on a leash, knows sit, down, stay, and slow, and is motivated by toys, treats, and attention. His favorite place? Wherever his person happens to be! Bones is an affectionate little shadow who greets his people with a big smile, rests his head in their laps, and happily keeps them company throughout the day. He’s content to settle down while his human is busy, but the moment they get up, he’s ready to see what comes next! And when bedtime rolls around, he believes sharing the bed is simply part of being a good companion. 😂 He’s also a wonderful adventure buddy! Bones has done well on outings to coffee shops, breweries, and pet stores. He’s good in the car and loves getting out to explore. He rarely barks, enjoys being around people, and is sweet with children. He has also done well with cats and other dogs, though he appreciates friendly introductions, especially with dogs who bark directly at him. This handsome gentleman has excellent spa manners, too! Baths, nail trims, and grooming are no problem for him. When he needs a little help relaxing, he enjoys sucking on his favorite toys—a charming reminder that even grown-up boys need a little comfort sometimes. Bones also has a curious, mischievous side! Paper, cardboard, and small objects can look like tempting snacks, so these should be kept safely out of reach. He can become protective of toys or things he finds, so his future family should be prepared to use positive-reinforcement training and safe management rather than trying to grab items from his mouth. Bones may be a little older, but he has so much love left to give. He isn’t asking for a fancy life or endless adventures. He just wants to feel safe, know he belongs, and have someone waiting for him to come home to every day. Could you be the person who gives this sweet boy his happily ever after? He’s ready for a forever family—and will repay them with a lifetime of smiles, loyalty, and snuggles. 💙

Story
Meet our sweet Mama Tinsley! Tinsley came to us on December 7th, VERY pregnant, cold, scared and with no hope of ever having someone to love her, again. Tinsley had been living outside, no shelter, little food and had had litter after litter. Discarded now. One of our rescue partners sent her to us and we couldn't say "no". She needed us as much as we needed to help her, but the funny thing is, we fell so in love with her. She is the sweetest girl! On December 13th, she had to have an emergency c-section and delivered 5 healthy puppies and was spayed at the same time. She is a great mama, but she is done with having puppies and she is ready to move on to a new family! Tinsley is very attached to her foster mom. Her foster mom is the only thing that Tinsley has ever known as having a safe place. For Christmas, she traveled with her foster family to their Christmas festivities in another state. She is absolutely no trouble at all. She wants to only be close to you and be loved. Her foster takes her wherever she goes. The girl has been around the US! She has loved every moment of it! Tinsley is about 8-10 years old. She will be around 25#, once her milk dries up. She is up to date on her vaccines, heartworm negative and now on monthly prevention. She is spayed and chipped. She will pee on a pee pad inside but not if you are watching her. She will also go outside and potty. If you would like to give this sweetheart the forever home that she deserves, please go to our website and complete an adoption application. Her new family must be home a lot or be able to take her with them. She is great with other dogs, but they aren't a requirement. She would love a retired family who she can be with a lot. We only want the best for our sweet girl! She deserves the world! Tinsley's adoption fee is $250. This only partially covers what we have spent on her and her puppies to date. We have spent almost $8000 with her vet care since she came to us. Her emergency c-section was $3500. She is worth it! Adoption application can be found here: https://acfrescue.weebly.com/adoption-foster-and-volunteer-applications.html
