Why have just one Chihuahua when you can have two? Boba Fett and Shy Shy are ready for adoption! Here is what we know about them...... They need each other. Shy Shy more so than Boba but they are definitely bonded. We know its a lot harder to adopt out bonded pairs but we will always do our very best to keep bonded pairs together. So, if you happen to be looking for two cute Chihuahuas, Boba Fett and Shy Shy are ready to go! Boba Fett loves attention and sitting on your lap. He has been in dog playgroups with all sized dogs but acts....Well, like a Chihuahua. 😉 He can be snappy and dominant with other dogs. He sure loves Shy Shy though! Boba Fett is approx. 1 yr old and weighs 10 lbs. Shy Shy is true to her name. But she loves her snacks and will comes out of her shell quickly when she sees you have a tasty treat. She is approx. 2 yrs old and weighs 8 lbs. Both dogs have been fixed, vaccinated, heartworm tested and dewormed. Their Ohio license is also included in their adoption fee. Applications can be found at https://bchsohio.org/adoption-application/

Story
Everything is better with chocolate…and with me, Hershey Chocolate! I’m a nine-pound, six-year-old male chihuahua, fully vetted, vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on heartworm medication. I get my name from my chocolate-colored fur and my sweet disposition. Won’t you give me a try? I may take a little time to warm up to you, but once I do, I’m a super-snuggly boy. I enjoy snuggling in blankets, but I love cuddling with my favorite person even more. I like to be held like a baby, and I promise to shower you with kisses and be your loyal companion, following you wherever you go! Because I am blind and hard of hearing, I need some extra care and attention. I’ll need a fenced yard so I can roam without going too far. I also get anxious when I’m around kids or other animals, so I’ll need a quiet home where I’m the only baby. If you keep me on a schedule, I’m pretty good with my housetraining, but I’m also agreeable to wearing a belly band to prevent accidents in the house. I also don’t mind being in my crate; my foster mom leaves the door open so I can come and go as I please. If you’ve always longed for chocolate that doesn’t make your waistband tighter, look no further! I’m guaranteed to sweeten every moment with no unwanted side effects! Hershey Chocolate’s adoption fee is $300. If you are interested in adopting Hershey Chocolate, please DO NOT SEND A MESSAGE TO OUR RESCUE GROUP. We are too busy placing dogs in great homes to answer messages and inquiries through the listing site. PLEASE GO TO THE LINK BELOW TO COMPLETE AN ADOPTION APPLICATION. www.chihuahua-rescue.com/adoption-application CRT requires an approved adoption application and a home visit for all adoption applicants. CRT transports to OH, KY, IL, MI, MN, and WI.

Story
Elmer is an eleven pound Chi mix that is full of love and kisses... but only after he feels comfortable enough not to bite your face off. I mean... he is a chihuahua after all. All joking aside, we believe him to be approximately 8 years young with a zest for life. Even though he has been said to not like all men, the men he's met so far he's been okay with. He did better while taking pictures with Santa, than most children. Elmer is likely to get nervous at first in his new home and will need proper time to settle in before becoming best friends. Proper decompression is the key to his success. He can be easily spooked with fast movements but builds trust quickly once he realizes that he is safe from harm. Something to help with this, is another doggy friend for Elmer to call his sibling. Elmer seems most comfortable with canines alike and this would help him be most successful in his new home!Once you are in... you are totally in and Elmer shows his affection by covering you in kisses and being super snuggly with his cuddles. He's a dog that doesn't know how to hold his licker... so be prepared for lots of PDA. He is also happy to just sit in your lap or lay in the crook of your arm to take a nap. Elmer is reluctant to getting in his crate, once he is in it, he will bark and grumble for a short time but will eventually settle down. When he is let out of his crate, he will jump up while walking to the door to go outside to do his business. Elmer gets along fine with all dogs, big and small in his foster home. He did some marking when first arriving to his foster home, this stopped after one week of his arrival. Elmer's teeth look really good for his age, very little tarter and "decent" breath. He is definitely a dog that needs time to adjust to change, but once he loves you, he loves you with all his heart. If you would like to meet this cute little guy and possibly add him to your family, please complete an application at PawPatrolDayton.com/adopt. His adoption fee is $210. Elmer is neutered, current on vaccinations, Heartworm negative, and he is microchipped. All of our animals are vaccinated, micro-chipped and spayed/neutered before being adopted.

Story
The ears, the eyes, the handsome Freddy is the full package! Freddy is a sweet boy looking for a family to give him the love he deserves. Freddy is a hodgepodge mix breed who is probably about a year and a half old. Freddy is a smaller guy but does not let his size stop him, he is a curious adventurer who loves to learn more about the world around him, Freddy needs a family who will be patient while he is still learning how to be the best boy. Freddy is working on nailing potty training and basic commands, but he has really been “getting it” when it comes to his crate and being on a leash. Freddy likes smuggle toys to his crate and save them for later as well. Freddy is shy at first, but worth the wait! Freddy will go home microchipped, neutered and up to date on vaccines. You can apply to adopt Freddy at www.pawpatroldayton.com/adopt . Freddy’s adoption fee is $285. All of our animals are vaccinated, micro-chipped and spayed/neutered before being adopted.
