This little pretty has not had an easy go of it, as she spent many days in emergency care for Parvo and then some (over $8,000 in vet bills!)  Pretty Girl is healthy now and making up for lost time. She is a petite princess and can sometimes be bossy with other dogs.  She has had some exposure to cats in her current foster home. The cats there do not put up with dog nonsense. She is ready to have all your attention to herself. She can be a little timid and unsure so she will need to have your heart and your time.  Because of her rough past, she can be a flight risk.  She will need a physical 3 foot fenced yard that she cannot escape from and since she is so tiny, their can't be any spaces she will fit through. Pretty Girl is still working on leash training so a secured area will be the safest place to get her used to her new family and a leash.  Just be patient with her and you won’t be disappointed.  Pretty Girl is working on using the doggie door and piddle pads in her foster home. Poor Toby was abused by his previous owners and then left behind to fend for himself after the abusers moved out. Toby is doing great learning to trust humans. Toby is dog selective when it comes to other dogs but is fine with most dogs his size. Toby is doing great on crate training and can be crated after his foster mom worked with him on crating. Toby knows how to use a doggy door and will use a pee pad if he doesn't have access to the doggy door. Toby is very smart and loves all the attention he can get. He loves to spend time hanging out on your lap for love and attention.  Toby would be great as an only dog or could coexist with a friendly dog of his choice of course! Toby knows to sit and knows the word no. Toby is vocal when seeing other dogs. This handsome guy received a lot of love and potty training from his foster until he entered our DASH Prison Training Program.  He will continue to hone in on his basic commands. His foster says "he does well with other pups, he is a lovebug".  He is a lot of fun, loves to play and gets along with other dogs. He can be vocal at times, especially in his crate. He enjoys an occasional visit on the furniture and can be a little sound sensitive. The trainer is working on his people greeting skills. At times he will jump on his humans but he's just really happy to be so loved. This guy is a crowd pleaser, so don't wait to turn in an application. Shy Shy more so than Boba but they are definitely bonded. We know its a lot harder to adopt out bonded pairs but we will always do our very best to keep bonded pairs together. So, if you happen to be looking for two cute Chihuahuas, Boba Fett and Shy Shy are ready to go! Boba Fett loves attention and sitting on your lap. He has been in dog playgroups with all sized dogs but acts....Well, like a Chihuahua. ðŸ˜‰ He can be snappy and dominant with other dogs. He sure loves Shy Shy though! Boba Fett is approx. 1 yr old and weighs 10 lbs. Shy Shy is true to her name. But she loves her snacks and will comes out of her shell quickly when she sees you have a tasty treat. She is approx. 2 yrs old and weighs 8 lbs. Both dogs have been fixed, vaccinated, heartworm tested and dewormed. Their Ohio license is also included in their adoption fee. Some of our Georgetown residents might remember Adel and her devoted owner taking walks around the neighborhood. Adele (Del-Del) is ready to find her forever home. This little one recently lost her dad when he unexpectedly passed away. She loved him as much as he loved her. She enjoyed their multiple daily walks around their neighborhood. Del is approximately 10 years young, weighs 14 pounds and is house trained. She totally ignores cats and does well with well behaved dogs (barking and growling scares her). Del loves fluffy beds and buries herself in bed pillows. If you know anyone interested in a sweet, long-legged, little chi please share. Applications can be found at bchsohio.org or just come to the shelter to pick one up. Adele is in foster but meet and greets can easily be arranged.
