Story
Hello, I'm Bailey. Life's been a bit different lately, but I'm adjusting. I was used to a quiet life, just me and my human. We were a team. Now, I'm learning to stand on my own four paws. I'm am a bit sassy and have a whole lot of personality so no children for me. I am independent and it takes me time to warm up to new faces but once I do, I'm loyal for life. I'm not one for games or fetch, I prefer a quiet corner where I can set the pace and enjoy some good company. I may be a little older, but I still have plenty of love to give. If you are willing to give me the space I need to feel safe I could be the perfect match for you. Adopting me means gaining a steadfast companion, a loyal friend, and a quiet presence to share your days with. I am spayed, weigh 7 lbs, current on vaccinations including rabies, dewormed, flea treated, heartworm tested negative, on heartworm prevention and microchipped, my adoption donation is $50. If you would be interested in meeting me our hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 9am to 2pm. Our address is 4 Commercial Ave Washington Court House Ohio 43160.These are abandoned street animals or unplanned litters, some of older age, and many with a shy temperament. Their prior history is sometimes unknown. We make every effort to check the basic health and personality of each animal.CAT:Every adoptable cat is currently vaccinated (FVRCPP), vaccinated for rabies (if 16 weeks or older), spayed/neutered, treated for worms, treated for fleas, micro-chipped and started on ear mite treatment (if required).DOG:Each adoptable dog/puppy is currently vaccinated (DHPP), vaccinated for rabies (if older than 16 weeks), treated for worms, treated for fleas, spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm (if over 6 months of age), micro-chipped and started on ear mite treatment (if required).Upon adoption you will be given a health record to take to your veterinarian. Adoption fees are typically $90.00 for kittens, $50 for cats and $300 for dogs/puppies unless otherwise stated. We accept cash or debit/ credit card only! These fees are subject to fluctuation, if deemed necessary, depending on season, amount of adoptable animals in our program, and/or breed of animal. The adoption fees help us recover a small portion of the money that we spend on these animals. Thank you so much for your interest in a shelter pet!!!

Story
RCHS does not conduct DNA tests on dogs who enter our facility therefore we are unable to guarantee breed or breed mix. Information provided by shelter staff, volunteers, and veterinarians is used to give a best estimate as to a dog’s breed make up. We do our best to inform adopters about the potential breeds for each dog.We are a dog only facility so we do not know how most of our dogs will be with cats. Even if a dog is surrendered to us and said to be good with cats there is no way to be sure the dog will be good with your cats. We do have a 7 day foster-to-adopt program so that you can see how the dog interacts with your cats before adoption.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Meet Pretty Girl! This little pretty has not had an easy go of it, as she spent many days in emergency care for Parvo and then some (over $8,000 in vet bills!)  Pretty Girl is healthy now and making up for lost time. She is a petite princess and can sometimes be bossy with other dogs.  She has had some exposure to cats in her current foster home. The cats there do not put up with dog nonsense. She is ready to have all your attention to herself. She can be a little timid and unsure so she will need to have your heart and your time.  Because of her rough past, she can be a flight risk.  She will need a physical 3 foot fenced yard that she cannot escape from and since she is so tiny, their can't be any spaces she will fit through. Pretty Girl is still working on leash training so a secured area will be the safest place to get her used to her new family and a leash.  Just be patient with her and you won’t be disappointed.  Pretty Girl is working on using the doggie door and piddle pads in her foster home. If you want the cutest addition to your home – turn in an application!  She is ready for a stable and safe home. Columbus and surrounding areas only please. If you're interested in adopting, the first step in our adoption process is to submit an application on our website, www.dashanimalrescue.orgVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 24, 2024, 8:10 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Meet Toby. Toby is a five-year-old, neutered male chihuahua. No kids. Poor Toby was abused by his previous owners and then left behind to fend for himself after the abusers moved out. Toby is doing great learning to trust humans. Toby is dog selective when it comes to other dogs but is fine with most dogs his size. Toby is doing great on crate training and can be crated after his foster mom worked with him on crating. Toby knows how to use a doggy door and will use a pee pad if he doesn't have access to the doggy door. Toby is very smart and loves all the attention he can get. He loves to spend time hanging out on your lap for love and attention.  Toby would be great as an only dog or could coexist with a friendly dog of his choice of course! Toby knows to sit and knows the word no. Toby is vocal when seeing other dogs. Ok with his foster mom's cat.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 24, 2024, 8:10 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Introducing the one, the only - Prince Love. This handsome guy who is now part of our Foster to Adopt Program is receiving so much love in his current foster home. She says he is such a sweetheart! Prince was previously part of DASH's Prison Training Program where he learned his basic puppy manners. He is a lot of fun, loves to play and gets along with other dogs. He can be very vocal at times, especially when he sees someone so he would not be the best fit for an apartment. He enjoys an occasional visit on the furniture and can be a little sound sensitive. He can also be protective of his people. At times he will jump on his humans but he's just really happy to be so loved. This guy is a crowd pleaser, so don't wait to turn in an application.  *Note: Prince is part of our Foster to Adopt program. Apply now if you are interested in testing how he would acclimate in your home*  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 24, 2024, 8:10 pm
