You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Welcome Marley to DASH! This special needs boy came to DASH after he was left outside with another dog, who actually froze to death before we could get them to us. He is a very small Tri-Pod, he is missing his left front leg, but he does get around ok. The rescue did order him a wheelchair to help him on those days where he seems to be in some pain, so he will need to continue learning how to use it, even if it isn't needed every day. Our vet believes he had a very rough life before coming into our care and will need to be on long term pain medication, but it is relatively inexpensive so don't let that deter you from bringing this sweet boy into your home. He is great with other dogs with calmer energy. High energy is not his thing. He really just wants to be in a lap getting all the attention he can and will use pee pads inside, as he is not really a fan of being outside for any reason and we can't blame him! He has not been kid tested, but mostly just ignores the resident cats in his current foster home. He would be great for someone looking for their laid back companion to curl up with and read a good book or watch a movie! This bonded pair of sisters came to DASH from southern Ohio when their elderly owner had to go into nursing care and could not take them with them. They are truly the sweetest, most loving dogs ever! They just want to be with you and give you kisses all the time. Jasmine is the more outgoing of the 2, but Lady Gray is never far away and once she sees Jasmine getting the attention, she will move her way right in so she isn't left out! They are crate trained, pee pad trained (working on going outside to potty on a schedule) and working on their leash manners in their current foster home. They do get along with the other small dogs in their foster home, but truly would be perfectly content to be someone's only 2 since they get along with each other perfectly. They have not been kid or cat tested. If you are ready for double the loving, then these 2 are ready for you too! At just 3 years old and 8 pounds, Gordo is living proof that the very best things come in the tiniest, snuggliest packages. This sweet Chihuahua mix is equal parts lap warmer, cuddle champion, and loyal sidekick. He adores being close to his person and will happily follow you from room to room like a tiny, devoted shadow. If you’ve ever wanted a dog who truly wants to be with you — not just near you — Gordo is your guy. He does have a soft spot for the ladies (Gentlemen, don’t worry—he’ll accept you too, but he’s a mama’s boy at heart!) and would thrive in a calm, quiet home. He’d also be thrilled to have a small doggie friend to sunbathe with and share naps. Kids aren’t really his vibe, but cozy couches and peaceful routines? Absolutely. 💊 A little extra love note about Gordo: Gordo is considered special needs due to occasional seizures, which are well managed with daily medication (Levetiracetam and Phenobarbital - about $50 every two months). He takes his meds like a champ and doesn’t let it slow him down one bit. He’ll also need Midazolam on hand, just in case he does have a seizure — though thankfully, his meds are working very well and he rarely has one. Basement Puppy - Cocoa Hello there! My name is Cocoa and I am the smallest one of my litter of 5 puppies who were born under a house. It was nice and cozy for a while, but then we got rescued at 5 weeks and came to our foster mom. Our mom was a little 13 pound chihuahua looking mama dog. Mom was a wild child so we came to the rescue to learn to love people and have a home so we don’t have to walk on the wild side. We love being with our foster mom and playing with the different dogs at the house. One thing you should know is that I can walk through puppy gates as I am that small. So I regularly leave the puppy room and go to the back to see the chihuahua named Busy Boots and the poodles who hang out there. It is fun! Some of us look like perhaps mom or even dad had some pug in them, as we have some of the coloring or the shorter mugs of a pug. But all of us are 100% adorable! I favor the chihuahua side I think. I will be on the small side, depending on what genetic size my rambler dad brought, but I should be under 15-20 pounds fully grown. I get my baby making bits removed on January 5, 2026 and then will be able to go to my forever home. Will that be with you? Local Adoption fee in Texas is $350 Out of state adoption fee with transport and fuel surcharge is $600

Basement Puppy - Dasher I am the smallest of the boys in this litter of 5 puppies. We were born under a house, not really in a basement, but it was cozy and warm and we grew into loveable puppies! Anyhow, mom was a wild child so we came to the rescue to learn to love people and have a home so we don’t have to walk on the wild side. It is too scary out there to be by yourself when you are little like me! Some of us look like perhaps mom or even dad had some pug in them, as we have some of the coloring or the shorter mugs of a pug. But all of us are 100% adorable! Personally, I don’t know if I have the pug look or not. What do you think? Do I look like a puggy puppy to you? I will be about 15 pounds fully grown as I am just 3#3oz right now, so I shouldn’t be bigger than that. And I am very cute so that will not change as I grow up either! I get my baby making bits removed on January 5, 2026 and then will be able to go to my forever home. Will that be with you?
