Story
Picher was part of the group we helped in Luther last summer. He can be shy but once he warms up to his person, he is an absolute doll. His perfect home would be a single person, so he can have his person all to himself. He is very scared of strangers and when visitors come over, it would be best that he is crated or put in another room. He had a traumatic past but we promise to make his future wonderful.

Story
Wagoner is one of the littles we rescued with our group from Luther back in early summer. It has taken Wagoner quite a bit of time to come around and understand that humans aren't going to hurt him. He is still VERY cautious of new people. Wagoner will do best in a home with no small children, children 12 and older, as he gets nervous with sudden movements and kids running around. He does love his dog friends, it helps with his confidence, and he tends to take his cues from them. He is working very hard on potty training and is very treat motivated, so we feel he will master this quickly. We would love to find him his furever, would be wonderful for an older person, that is home and just wants a cuddle bug. Once Wagoner knows you are his person, he will follow you around and just want to be with you!!

Story
Dibby is a senior Chihuahua girl, around ten years old and ten pounds. Dibby is a wonderful little dog and adores people, even kids. She just loves being in someone’s lap. She tolerates other dogs, but if they get in her face, she will snap at them. Dibby is definitely the alpha dog at her foster home and all the other dogs respect her space. She would really prefer to be the only dog in the household though. Now Dibby does have a significant heart murmur and takes three different medications that she will need to stay on for the rest of her life and will be adopted with a medical waiver. One of her meds is a diuretic which causes her to drink and pee a lot. She’s really good about pottying outside; however, because of the diuretic, she can’t hold it for long. This may cause her to have an accident at night or during the day if someone’s not at home to let her out every couple of hours. We have solved this issue at her foster home by putting a washable potty pad in her crate which is changed out as needed. If you would like to meet sweet Dibby, please fill out the application!

Story
Six Pack is a male beagle-chihuahua mix, approximately eight years-old and around twelve pounds. Unfortunately, he came to the rescue heartworm positive, but has gone through treatment and is now ready to find his forever home. Six Pack is a lover once he knows and trusts you. His favorite place in on foster mom’s lap and he follows his person everywhere. New people make him a little nervous. There are no small children here, so I’m not sure how he would be with them. I think he’d be fine with older kids though. He gets along great with all the other dogs in his foster home, both big and small. He does show a little bit of lap guarding with the other dogs when in his favorite spot, but when told NO sternly, he usually settles down and shares the space. Now Six Pack does mark, so he must wear a belly band in the house. His belly band will go with him to his new home. He is crate trained and stays in his “den” at night and while foster mom is at work. I think he would do fine outside the crate though as long as his belly band was on. He’s not destructive at all. Most of the day you can find him basking in the sun or snuggled under a blanket.
