Story
Meet Charli Charli is a 7-year-old, 12 lb Chihuahua-Dachshund mix with a big personality and an even bigger love for naps. This handsome little guy is looking for a calm, understanding home where he can relax, feel safe, and enjoy the good life. Charli is a sleepy boy who prefers a peaceful environment, so a home without small children would be best. He LOVES to snuggle under the covers with you. He does great on a leash and takes care of business almost as soon as he sees grass. Charli loves to run and explore in a fenced yard, though he’s quite the little escape artist—he’ll find even the smallest gap if given the chance! He’s also a great traveler and enjoys car rides, making him a fun companion for errands or short adventures. Charli currently wears a male wrap as he either marks or has some incontinence, but he’s adjusting well and improving every day. He’s shown no food aggression and has become much calmer and more trusting in his foster home. Charli is ready for a patient, loving adopter who will give him the stability and comfort he deserves. Adoption Fee: $250 Apply to meet or adopt Charli: https://knoxvintagepetproject.com/adopt/ Charli may be small, but his heart is full of love—he just needs the right person to share it with.

Story
🐾 Meet Max! 🐾 If you’ve ever wished for a dog with main character energy, look no further — Max is your guy. This 14-year-old Chihuahua mix might be small in size, but he’s got a personality (and a voice) that could fill a stadium. 🎤💥 Max doesn’t bark… he screams. Yes, literally. Just ask the Bojangles drive-thru workers who surrendered their bacon to his demands. 😆 But once you get used to it, you’ll find his “scream talk” is just his way of expressing himself — passionately. He’s got a few things that come with age and experience: some skin issues that are improving with medicated baths and good food, a quirky hip that doesn’t slow him down, and he likely needs a dental soon. Max also wears adorable little mittens to keep him from licking his hot spots (he rocks the look, honestly). He may be deaf, but that doesn’t stop him from knowing when it’s snack time. Max is cooperative for his care, loves his food, and enjoys being near his person. He’s got some battle scars from life, but he’s still full of love, attitude, and bacon-fueled energy. ❤️ He has recently been diagnosed with Cushings and is on medication for it. 📍 Fostered in Knoxville, TN 🐶 10 years old | Chihuahua mix 💰 Adoption fee: $150 🧡 Apply to adopt: knoxvintagepetproject.com/adopt

Story
🖤 Meet Spooky! 🖤 Spooky is a gentle little guy who’s just beginning to learn what it means to be a loved pet. This 2-year-old Chihuahua-Dachshund mix weighs about 10 lbs and has a heart as big as his story. He was rescued from a heartbreaking situation — a mobile home with 90 other dogs, where none had ever been outside or known a clean, safe environment. Despite that rough start, Spooky has proven to be friendly, sweet, and incredibly resilient. He’s shy at first, but with patience and kindness, he warms up beautifully. Once he feels safe, Spooky enjoys spending time with people and loves quietly hanging out by his person’s side. He also gets along wonderfully with other dogs and cats, and even does great at public events — calm, observant, and content to just be near his human. Spooky is still working on house training, which is completely understandable given his past. With consistency, love, and a gentle routine, he’s learning quickly and making progress every day. If you’re looking for a quiet, loving companion who will blossom in a safe, patient home, Spooky could be your perfect match. 📍 Fostered in: Knoxville, TN 🐶 Breed: Chihuahua-Dachshund mix 🎂 Age: 2 years ⚖️ Weight: 10 lbs 💰 Adoption Fee: $259 🐾 Good with dogs and cats ✨ Apply to adopt: knoxvintagepetproject.com/adopt

Story
🐾 Meet Toffee 🐾 Toffee has been in foster care for far too long, and it’s time this little sweetheart finds her forever home. She’s a hidden gem just waiting for the right person to see her gentle heart. ❤️ Toffee is a 5½-year-old brindle Chihuahua mix (aka chi-weenie) who weighs just 14 lbs. She’s a shy, tender soul who didn’t get much social interaction early in life, but she’s trying so hard to be brave. Every day, she takes small steps toward trusting people — and each one is a victory worth celebrating. She’s potty trained and also comfortable using pee pads, making her an easy housemate. Toffee loves quiet spaces, soft blankets, and calm energy. She’s not the kind of dog who will rush into your arms, but once she feels safe, her affection is pure and loyal. Toffee would make a wonderful companion for a homebody — someone who enjoys cozy nights in, peaceful routines, and the quiet comfort of a loyal little friend by their side. She’s looking for a patient, understanding home where she can continue to blossom at her own pace. She doesn’t need much — just love, consistency, and someone who believes in her. For the right person, she’ll be an incredibly devoted and comforting companion. Let’s help Toffee find the forever home she’s been waiting for. She’s ready to trade her foster spot for a place in someone’s heart. 🐶💛 📍 Fostered in Knoxville, TN 🎂 Age: 5½ years 🐶 Breed: Chihuahua mix ⚖️ Weight: 14 lbs 💰 Adoption fee: $250 ✨ Apply to adopt: knoxvintagepetproject.com/adopt

Story
🎶He was a Tater Boy, he said see ya later boy…🎶 Sweet baby Tater is still learning to trust humans. He’ll keep his distance, but once you’ve earned it he’ll be your most enthusiastic sidekick. He loves lounging on the couch, sleeping in bed, and burrowing under the covers so he can have his entire body pressed against yours. Stage 5 clinger right here. His favorite spot in the kitchen is sitting against the back of your feet… so he can protect you both from imminent danger. The snacks are just a bonus. He’s mastered the dog door, but only uses it when he feels like it. Don’t tell him what to do! Seriously, he’s still learning and most things humans say are just suggestions. He loves being inside, but is weary of new environments and all the smells and noises that come with. Loud football games? No thanks- the porch is more inviting, and he’ll come in when he’ll ready. He loves having a fenced in yard where he can lallygag, while you ruminate on whether or not his desire for dinner is a strong enough motivator to bring him in from the great outdoors. Tater loves other dogs, but comes on a little strong sometimes. He just wants friends! But boundaries are hard sometimes, and he’s still working on his social skills. We aren’t sure about cats, but he definitely thinks winged creatures are food, not friends. While timid at first, he does great with the ladies and children, but it’s a hard pass on men. His motto for them is “We listen, and we judge.”… from across the room…and we give them as much space as possible (aforementioned imminent danger). Tater is low/medium energy buddy. He’s happy watching Parks and Rec with you on the couch or bed rotting all day, and just as happy nipping at your coattails tromping around the yard. Tater does great in a kennel, hasn’t learned to use a leash yet, and occasionally forgets the bathroom is outside- but he really just wants a patient human to be his BFF and help him keep learning the ropes. 📍 Fostered in Knoxville, TN 🎂 2 years old | Chi-weenie mix 💰 Adoption fee: $250 🐶 Great with other dogs 🏡 Needs a patient adopter willing to go slow ✨ Apply to adopt: knoxvintagepetproject.com/adopt

Story
Meet Romeo 💙 | Professional Lap Dog Seeking Forever Home If you’re looking for a dog whose favorite place in the world is your lap, Romeo is your guy. Romeo is a young Chihuahua mix (under a year old) with a heart full of love and a serious passion for cuddling. Being close to his people is what makes him happiest — whether that’s curled up on the couch, sitting in your lap, or following you from room to room. Romeo’s story began when a kind Good Samaritan found him alone on a road during frigid temperatures. Thankfully, he’s now safe, warm, and thriving in rescue care with Noah’s Arc. He has recently been neutered and is doing great. During his vet care, it was discovered that Romeo still had some puppy teeth alongside his adult teeth, which were safely removed — and he bounced back like a champ. Romeo’s highlights: • 🐾 Young (under 1 year old) • 🐶 Chihuahua mix • 💕 Ultimate lap dog • 👧 Loves children • 🐕 Great with other dogs • 🐱 Good with cats • ✂️ Neutered and recovering well Romeo would do best in a home where he can soak up all the love he’s been waiting for. If you’re ready for a loyal, affectionate companion who just wants to be close to you, Romeo is ready to meet you. 📍 Available for adoption through Noah’s Arc Animal Rescue Apply through our Petfinder listing to give Romeo the forever home he deserves.
