Story
Meet Earl 💙 Earl is a quiet, gentle soul who finds comfort in his crate, which he keeps very clean and considers his safe space. As long as he has plenty of cozy blankets, he is content and relaxed when left alone. He is fully crate trained and spends much of his day happily hanging out there. Earl isn’t a big fan of the leash yet and may pull back or try to shake it off, but with each outing he’s becoming more tolerant and comfortable. He doesn’t know formal commands just yet, but he does understand “outside.” Overall, Earl has a low activity level and is perfectly happy with a calm, predictable routine. Earl has met children ages 10 and 13. He is very shy and won’t approach them on his own, but when held, he allows gentle pets without issue. He currently lives with another HEA foster dog and a small Chihuahua and does well with other dogs, mostly keeping to himself. He can get a little jealous if another dog approaches for attention while he’s sitting with his person, but he responds well to correction. While shy at first, Earl is a true cuddler once trust is built. He doesn’t often seek out affection on his own yet, but when he does, or when he’s invited, he’ll happily curl up and snooze for hours. As his confidence grows, so does his affection, and he’s known to shower his favorite people with kisses. One of his cutest habits? When he’s taken out of his crate, he jumps right into your arms. Earl is cautious with strangers and prefers to observe from a distance, usually from the safety of his crate. With time, patience, and gentle encouragement, he does warm up and accept pets. He hasn’t shown much interest in toys and has a low energy level, though he has surprised everyone with the occasional zoomie session with his dog friends. And then there are Earl’s noises, absolutely adorable. When he wants something, he makes the cutest farm-animal-like sounds (often compared to a goat!). His whimpers sometimes sound like Yoshi from Super Mario, and he’s very vocal when it’s mealtime, waiting patiently by the pantry door. Earl would do best in a home with other confident dog siblings to help him feel secure and an adopter who is patient, understanding, and willing to let him adjust at his own pace. He may take some time to settle into a new routine, but once he does, he sticks to it well. Sweet, snuggly, loving, and loyal. Earl is a special boy just waiting for the right home.

Story
Meet Dillinger, better known as Dilly (or “Dillman” when he’s feeling extra silly)! Dilly is a gentle, easygoing boy with an irresistibly cute underbite and a heart full of love. He can be a little timid at first, but warms up quickly, especially if you have treats! He’s affectionate and enjoys being around people. While he may not be overly demanding or always want to cuddle up in your lap, he does his very best to please his humans and takes pride in being a good companion. Dilly does well with cats and small or medium dogs. He's a little fearful of large dogs. With a very low activity level, Dilly is perfectly suited for a calm home. He loves lounging, napping, and watching the world go by from a cozy window perch. Short walks are more his speed, and he does well on a leash with some patience. He would thrive in a low-activity household, apartment, or home with a small yard. Dilly enjoys mental enrichment and likes brain games, though he hasn’t settled on a favorite toy just yet. He prefers thoughtful engagement over high-energy play and is happiest in a peaceful environment. He has specific dietary needs and has to be on a low-inflammatory diet. His daily routine includes added blueberries, pumpkin, and a probiotic to help him feel his best. Quiet, low-maintenance, and undeniably charming, Dilly is the kind of dog who makes a house feel like home. If you’re looking for a sweet, mellow companion who will happily relax by your side and brighten your days with his adorable presence, Dilly could be the perfect match. Apply today to meet this very good boy, you may just fall in love at first underbite.

Story
Meet Tortilla, the best little love bug you'll ever meet! He’s a cuddle champion who loves being picked up and held, even though he’s a bit of a tease sometimes, he’ll play hard to get just to keep you on your toes. Tortilla's preferred hangout spot? Snuggled up in the warmth of his blanket, cozy in his room, he’s not much for the outdoors unless it’s for a quick potty break. He’ll do his business and then give you that look... yep, he’s ready to head back inside where the comfort is. Tortilla’s has a refined taste in food not a fan of those dehydrated chicken chunks in his food, so you better keep the other good stuff coming. He loves his toys, but let’s be honest, nothing beats a good snuggle with his humans. Oh, and have you noticed his ears? They're huge perfect for hearing all the love and treats coming his way! At night, he’s a champ at settling down in his crate after a little wind-down. He’s usually accident-free! Tortilla is the cutest little ball of love you’ll want to spend all your time with!

Story
Roberta is a loving, shy, and oh-so-cute girl who thrives in a calm, understanding home. She enjoys her toys and has done wonderfully with the teenagers she’s met. Roberta is house-trained, knows her basic commands, and understands right from wrong in a home setting. She’s currently working on her leash manners and continues to make great progress. Roberta can be nervous around young children and becomes overstimulated by high-pitched noises, so a quieter home would be best for her. She’s also cautious around other dogs, especially those who come on too strong, but will calmly avoid their advances until she feels comfortable with their demeanor. She has met cats, and she tends to ignore them. With the people she knows, Roberta is affectionate, cuddly, and playful in a gentle way. She may be nervous when meeting strangers at first, but given time and patience, she warms up; she’s just slow to fully trust. Roberta would do best in a small, low-energy household with an experienced dog owner who can give her the structure and reassurance she needs to shine. 💕

Story
Meet Clover, a gentle little soul with the sweetest heart. She’s fully housetrained and quiet when it’s time for bed, she settles in without a single peep. If her foster steps out to run errands, she calmly relaxes in her crate, which seems to be her safe and cozy space right now, patiently waiting for them to return. Clover is incredibly adaptable. She lets you slip on her sweater ithout any fuss at all. On walks, she prefers to follow your lead, padding along just a step behind, but don’t worry, she keeps up just fine. She recently met another small dog and handled it well. She is very shy and takes time to build trust. Strangers can feel a little overwhelming at first, and she needs patience and understanding as she warms up. But once she begins to trust you, it’s something truly special. She may not climb into your lap, but she’ll choose a little spot beside you where she can soak up gentle pets and simply be near her person. When I worked from home for the first time, it took her about an hour to quietly join me in the room, and once she did, she stayed. She just wants to be where you are, perfectly content to love you from a comfortable distance. Clover is starting to discover toys. She’ll play for about 30 seconds, then pause as if to say, “What am I doing?” It’s endearing to watch her learn how to just be a carefree pup. Each day, she grows a little braver. Her little “zoomies” are becoming more frequent, and you can see her confidence building in the most heart-melting ways. She loves treats and will daintily lift her tiny paw when she thinks one is coming, not quite to shake, just to show you how pretty and polite she is. It’s her own charming little gesture. In her fosters quieter home, she is truly blossoming. They believe a gentle dog companion could help her continue to come out of her shell and show her the ropes of simply being a dog. Even in just a few days, we’ve seen beautiful growth. Clover may be shy, but her potential is endless. Once she finds her forever home and feels completely safe, watch out, the sky’s the limit for this sweet, loving girl.
