Story
Meet Robbie!
Nickname: Robert Redford
Breed: Chihuahua
Rescue: Albert’s Dog Lounge
Age: Golden Oldie
Weight: 4 pounds
Fun fact: Robbie weighs less than a bag of sugar, which is super handy when he wants to be carried everywhere!
Foster home: Marshall, WI
Activity level: Low
Friendly with: Dogs, cats, and older, respectful kids. Robbie is teeny, and has poor vision and hearing. He would not know to get out of the way of typical child play, and may get injured.
Meals: High quality dry small breed kibble mixed with canned, moist food.
Meds: Diclofenac eye drops for corneal edema
Sleep style: He sleeps in a crate in a bed, in front of the woodstove. He is a big fan of his teddy bear, blankies, and soft things. His bear will come with him to his forever home.
Snore-o-meter: 1/10. Maybe a little purr now and then.
Bark-o-meter: 2/10. Sweet Robbie is a quiet boy.
Shedding meter: 1/10. His foster hasn't seen any sparkles on the floor yet!
Walkout song: "Tiny Dancer" by Elton John. They don’t get much tinier than me!
Favorite pattern: Red plaid. Warm and fashionable! What more could a gentleman want?
Best accessory: A red plaid blankie to cuddle under
Favorite activity: Napping, with blankets, his bear, and a sunbeam across his face
Favorite season: Summer. Robbie likes being warm, and the sun on his face is a marvelous thing. Also, he has heard about picnics, and thinks he would love to go to one!
Personality: Professional snuggler, sweet, delightful, loyal, attached
Robbie is very low energy; he is a professional napper! He is a very good eater, goes outside to potty, enjoys treats. With his poor vision and hearing he is a tentative walker, so walks are not a priority for him. He does love to be carried though, so a doggy sling walk or a doggy stroller walk would be amazing! Robbie does not like to be left alone, and would prefer someone who is home a lot.
