Meet Bull (also known as Buddy), a 1½-year-old Chihuahua with a gentle heart. He started out shy and reserved, but as he settles into his foster home, his playful, lively side is beginning to shine. He currently gravitates a bit more toward women, though that may simply be because the man in the home is the one braving the cold weather for potty breaks.Bull would likely thrive in a quieter home where he can bond closely with one special person. We haven’t been able to fully assess how he does with other dogs yet, but he has shown no aggression toward people.He adores mealtime and loves nothing more than curling up on the couch for snuggles. His trust isn’t fully there yet, but he’s making steady progress and we expect he’ll continue to blossom as he feels more secure.Bull has had no accidents in the house. He is still learning what’s appropriate to chew—cords are especially tempting—so some supervision and gentle guidance will be helpful. History: Jasmine is a beautiful girl who needed a second chance at a good life. She quickly wriggled her way into our hearts with how sweet and loving she is and she would make a great addition to a lucky home of her own soon! A Note from the Foster: Hi there, I’m Jasmine and I am officially hiring for the very important position of My Best Friend! After a life in commercial breeding, I am ready to retire from motherhood and focus on what truly matters… ME! I’m discovering all the good things in life for the very first time, so if I seem a little nervous at first, it’s only because everything is so new. Give me a little time and patience, and I warm up beautifully. Once I choose you, I’m devoted. I follow my foster mom everywhere and prefer to be right by her side. She’s basically my favorite person in the whole world. I don’t mind my foster dad, but I do have opinions about my large canine foster sister. She sometimes forgets that I am the princess of this house and tries to steal attention. I’m not afraid to politely (okay… sometimes not that politely) tell her to back off. The good news? I coexist just fine with respectful dogs who understand personal space. The honest truth? I’d probably love to be your one and only. I have eight years of missed snuggles to make up for, and I’m on a mission to collect them all. I also live with several cats and couldn’t care less about them. They do their thing, I do mine. Easy. When I’m not supervising my foster mom, you’ll find me tucked into my cozy bed. I am a professional napper. While she’s at work, I relax in my playpen in my little bed and keep it clean and dry all day. I sleep in my crate at night and do the same. I am a quiet girl who hasn’t quite found her voice yet, but I do make the cutest little snorting noises and occasionally snore softly (okay… sometimes not that softly). After all, I’m catching up on years of well deserved rest. I’m still learning about potty training. My foster mom takes me outside, but I’m honestly not quite sure what the assignment is out there. I haven’t mastered it yet, but I am a tiny adult lady, not a wild puppy, so accidents are small and predictable. With consistency, patience, and maybe a little warmer weather, I know I’ll figure it out. I haven’t met any young kids yet, but loud noises and quick movements can startle me, so I would likely do best in a calm, adult home that lets me move at my own pace. If you give me that safety and time, I promise I will blossom into the most loyal, loving little companion. I don’t need much. Just your love and attention – the things I’ve been waiting my whole life for. Give me your heart, and I’ll give you mine. Love, Jasmine.
