Story
This precious little girl was found in a extremely dangerous situation. I had seen a post about a dog running on the side of a busy four lane. In the pics I thought that she looked like a medium sized pup, maybe 30 lb. Regardless of her size, she needed help & she needed it fast. I had a quick conversation with the man above and said ,"If you need my help, you need to let me spot her on way to town today". Sure enough there she was, I spotted her immediately. This baby was so tiny and very pregnant. For several days I worked on building our relationship. I had learned her routine and found her safe place where I fed her daily. The following morning I set a trap and crossed my fingers and toes. Against all odds ,I got her within an hour & this little girl was exhausted and appeared so relieved. A few weeks later on Easter eve, CoCo Bunny gave birth to four adorable little nuggets "the bunny boys". She is such a special soul, excellent mommy and though she is learning to trust, she will LOVE you like you hung the moon. Her only quirk is that she wants to be with you 24/7. I personally think its because she doesn't want to be left behind ever again. I'm not going to label her "special needs" because her needs are really basic. It's about finding her person, that one needle in the haystack that loves as intensely as Coco does and will give her the attention that she deserves & craves.

Story
Sour is Sophie's name for the first few days. Normal for a chihuahua terrier mix. She's selfish about her favorite human and tries to intimate other dogs so a home with well socialized and tolerant pets is a must. Some separation anxiety at first but goes away after a few weeks without any destructive behavior. We have two dogs and she has the run of the house while we're gone. She sleeps all night in her crate beside the bed and is house trained. Her last home was a young family with two small children and a large puppy and it was too stressful for her manage. Once she warms up she a very affectionate girl and rolls for belly rubs in days. She has very little teeth left so a soft diet is must. An older couple or single adopter looking for a companion will be very pleased.

Meet Gigi, the beautiful 5.5 month old puppy that wants to be your cuddle bug. She sleeps all through the night and when she is in her crate, she is very mindful and doesn’t bark. She loves to play and is very athletic. She would be great for someone who wants to go on brisk walks or runs during the day, or someone who has a fenced in yard where she can run and play! She would be great with kids and loves people. She can run really fast, jump really high, is learning commands and almost has potty training mastered. She is high energy and chill at the same time. Thankfully, she was found as a stray by a good samaritan. She found Gigi at 11 pounds six weeks ago, fed and loved her, vetted her, made sure she had everything she could to thrive as a family pet or companion to someone wanting a 15 year commitment. But her foster’s health is not holding up under the amount of activity Gigi needs as she is growing. Her foster has poured countless hours and loads of love into her, played tooth fairy and gotten her a bunch of supplies that will go on to her forever home with her. She will come fully vetted. Spayed, current on vaccines and preventions, she will be microchipped and comes with a special geotag! Unfortunately, she probably needs to be an “only pet.” Gigi is not dog or cat friendly as of yet. After six weeks, it is unknown whether this can be trained out of her, but the vets say she should not get over 20 pounds. They said it’s hard to know exactly what mix breed she actually is, but they are leaning toward Chihuahua-Shar Pei. She is a special baby who wakes up to a foster mom who sings a “good morning song” that Gigi loves! Gigi also loves car rides and is rather fond of boys. She will probably be a daddy’s girl and might even be a perfect dog for an over the road driver! She is as sweet as she is beautiful, and shines like a new copper penny! She probably won’t ever be a dog park dog, but she will always be your best friend who will kiss your boo-boos and keep you company.  She comes with her crate, vetting and food. All toys and accessories can come with her too. We just want Gigi to find the life that she deserves. Can it be with you?
