M - 7 years old - Chihuahua Mix - Lewis is a little guy with a gentle heart and a serious appreciation for the finer things in life: tasty treats, cozy cuddles, and a quiet place to relax. At 7 years old, Lewis has settled into his calm, easygoing ways. He's a little timid when facing the world on his own, but having his Chihuahua friend Martin nearby helps him feel more confident. Sometimes, having a buddy by your side makes all the difference! Lewis loves treats, enjoys snuggling up with his favorite people, and prefers a peaceful pace over a life full of commotion. ADOPT To adopt, come see us! We're open for walk-ins Tuesday - Sunday from 11 AM to 5 PM with adoptions closing at 4:30 PM each day. All adoptions are $25 and our pets are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to head home with you. M - 2 years old - Chihuahua Mix - Martin is a little Chihuahua with a relaxed personality, a sweet disposition, and just enough confidence to help his buddy Lewis feel a little braver! This easygoing guy is a bit more outgoing than his friend, but he's still very much a chill companion. Martin doesn't need a lot of excitement to be happy, he's perfectly content taking things at his own pace, enjoying some attention, and hanging out with the people around him. One of the sweetest things about Martin is the confidence he brings to his friendship with Lewis. While Lewis can be a little more timid, Martin is a reassuring presence who helps his buddy feel more comfortable. Sometimes, being a good friend is as simple as showing someone that everything is going to be okay. ADOPT To adopt, come see us! Story
I don’t know what happened to her before I got her, but she has a lot of fear and anxiety. When I first started caring for her, she made great progress, especially when gently socializing with other dogs. Having another calm dog around really helped her confidence. She has never been aggressive—she may bark at unfamiliar people, but it’s always from fear. Loud noises also make her shake. Because of recent health and family issues, I can’t give her the stable, quiet home she needs, and her anxiety has gotten worse. She has all her shots and takes a monthly flea pill. She recently became so stressed that she stopped eating and drinking consistently, and pushing her seemed to make it worse. I believe her struggles are environmental, not medical. She is a very sweet, gentle dog who wants to feel safe. I’m hoping to find a patient home, ideally with another friendly dog, where she can rebuild her confidence and enjoy life again.
