Marley is a great dog. We have had him since he was born. He is intimidated by men. He will always lean towards women. Unfortunately we are way too busy with work and our kids extracurricular activities and are way to busy to tend to him. We currently live where there is no yard. So he is stuck in the house all day long for 8 plus hours and I want him to be able to have the yard or attention he deserves. My kids love him very much but they understand that it's not fair to him. If you have any questions about him please do not hesitate to ask.

Hi, my name is Babe! I’m a petite 10-lb Chiweenie who arrived in San Diego on January 24 after being found as a stray in Calexico. My first week was a bit rough — I had just been spayed, so I spent a lot of time resting and taking my meds. Everything was new and a little scary. Curbs, stairs, doorways, elevators, and even walking on a leash were big challenges at first. But guess what? Just eleven days later, I’ve made huge progress and I’m good to go! Now I can easily walk a couple of miles a few times a day, and I’m a fast little walker too. On walks, I prefer to steer clear of other dogs, but with time I’ve grown comfortable co-existing with my neighbor dog — we can share the same space peacefully. I haven’t been around cats or children yet, so those would be new experiences for me. Because of my post-spay restrictions, I was potty trained using potty pads, and I’m spot on with them! I’m just starting to notice toys, but my true love is a good bully stick. I’m still working on being alone — right now I’m not comfortable without my people. Being part Dachshund, I’m always on alert and very tuned in to my surroundings. I’ve been living in the East Village of downtown San Diego, where the sounds, smells, and sights never stop. With my little legs only about four inches off the ground, city sidewalks can be a bit overwhelming. Downtown condo life just isn’t ideal for me. My dream home would be in the suburbs with a backyard and someone who’s home about 90% of the time. I truly thrive when I’m close to my humans — that’s my happy place. I warm up easily and am always ready to curl up in a cozy lap. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who just wants to be by your side, I might be your girl. 🐾💕

'Jack' Chihuahua male-6 yrs old, 7 lbsJack is a 7-lb,  6 yr old one-eyed Velcro pup who loves nothing more than snuggling under the covers with his person. When he came to us, Jack had been hit by a car and needed his eye removed and his fractured jaw repaired — but he has healed beautifully and is all heart. He’s sweet, sensitive, and settles after a little crying when left alone. Jack does great with small dogs but is not a fan of big dogs. He seems comfortable with kids and men; cats are unknown. He enjoys sunbathing, window-watching, and is still learning how to play with toys. Jack is potty trained but may always need a belly band due to periodic marking. Momma is a Chiweenie but no idea what the father(s) were! Looks like maybe some spaniel though.  So it is a mystery on how they will turn out :)  'Hello, I am a young and curious puppy with a lot of love to give! I am very affectionate and love to cuddle up with my human friends. I am also very friendly. I am a very playful and funny and  love to make my human friends laugh. I am also a smart puppy and I am highly trainable. I was rescued along with my mommy and brothers and sisters when I was just 3 days old, My eyes were not even open yet!  My momma is a 13 lb Chiweenie. But I don't know what or who my daddy was. So I am a mix of different breeds, and I am sure I will grow up to be a a super doggy. I am just 9 weeks old, so I am still a baby and have a lot of energy. I would love to go to a forever home where I can get a lot of love and attention. If you are looking for a fun and furry addition to your family, look no further!
