Story
Though Finn will need patient, experienced dog owners and a quiet space (a household without children or other pets), he has a massively hilarious personality that makes us laugh daily. He is a 70lbs shepherd mix and has been neutered, is fully house trained, up to date on his vaccines, and knows several commands. Finn is highly food motivated and loves working. We have also established a relationship with a wonderful fear-free vet that works well with his needs. We would like to re-home Finn responsibly and want to take this at Finn's pace since he needs time to warm up to strangers.

Story
Tucker is a 6 year old mixed breed that I rescued in Florida when he was just 2 months. He loves car rides, laying in the sunshine, and chasing tennis balls. Tucker needs a new home due to a family member's pet allergies, as well as his separation anxiety when his owners are away. He spends most of his day snoozing on his bed or exploring the back yard and sunbathing.

Layla

Mutt

Female, Adult
San Diego, CA
Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details
Good with dogs, Not good with cats, Needs special attention, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Layla is smart, curious, affectionate, obedient, playful, and a huge cuddle bug. Layla is also extremely anxious, protective, and wary of strangers (especially women). She requires a patient owner that is willing to work to her strengths and minimize her flaws. She is extremely food motivated and, combined with her intelligence, training is a breeze. I am rehoming her primarily because I am moving, and my new situation is incompatible with her personality. Her ideal situation is a home with a medium backyard to run around or play fetch in and preferably a male primary caretaker who has experience with reactive dogs or is willing to learn. .................... I want to make two things very clear: 1) In the right situation, I don't think her behavior will be much of a challenge. She's smart, eager to please, and very food motivated. 2) She has serious anxiety. Her medication helps this but does not eliminate it. She's not a dog you can bring to the brewery or let off leash at the park.

Size
(when grown) Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
Details
Not good with dogs, Needs special attention, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Ian is house trained, walk, sit, come, stay, speak, high five, paw, kind 11yrs old and truly sweet. He is truly a lap dog, if we let him he would quietly cuddle up at night and sleep with us as well He needs a home free of other dogs and preferably children. He has never bitten anyone but he does have high anxiety. He is a Malti-Poo/Chi-Weenie mix, all 7lb of him. He doesnt bark really, and likes to sit quietly in the sun, go for walks, car rides, and used to hike with me! Currently we have had children and moved, with their schedules and work he is not getting the love he needs. He has had yearly check ups, but his teeth need work, and the cost for anxiety meds as well. My kids love him and he cuddles up to them, but he doesn’t do well if the kids are overly excited. Someone who walks daily, has a calm consistent home life, with freedom to love is the home he needs.

Story
Sierra is around 4 years old. She loves playing with other dogs, toys, going for walks, and riding in the car. She is very mild mannered so would be perfect for any family of any age. She is very devoted and will follow you around everywhere! Her Story... There is a neighborhood being developed next to me. One day, she suddenly showed up there. Day after day I noticed that she stayed. She never barked or tried to lunge at me and my dogs as we were walking by. The neighborhood has a grounds keeper with two dogs and I thought that he had taken her in. Then one day, she was gone. I thought she was gone forever. I was heartbroken that I did not take her in earlier. A few weeks passed and there she was walking down the street towards that development. I immediately stopped and took her to the vet. Later, I found out the developers did not want her there, so they had someone drop her off in some remote area. Walking down the street that day was meant to be. Now she needs a forever home!
