Story
Smokey is a very good and happy boy. His dad has become unable to care for himself and so this very good boy and his brother, Lucky, are needing a new forever home. Their dad is a kind man who let the boys have the run of the house and yard. The family members caring for them now report that the boys are progressing well with their house manners. Once boundaries are re-established, it seems both Smokey and Lucky are good in the house. They are affectionate pets and are fine with encouragement on the leash. These very worthy boys are waiting for the next chapter. We want this that to be with a person as loving as the first. Please consider Smokey and possibly Lucky too. They qualify for the Pets for Vets and Seniors for Seniors adoptions. Both boys are neutered, and just had dentals. They had vaccines updated and had negative heartworm tests. Lucky has no vision in his right eye due to a previous illness.

🔭🐕Meet Chewy — a tiny Wookiee in a Chihuahua mix body. With his medium-length, wiry brown coat and those soulful little eyes, he looks like he just stepped off the Millennium Falcon… but landed in a shelter instead.🛸 🙈Chewy is brand new to this whole shelter thing, and honestly? It’s a little overwhelming for a small guy. Right now he’s shy and taking it all in, but underneath that cautious exterior is a very sweet, very smart little dog who’s already starting to show his true personality. His favorite person here says he’s been coming out of his shell more every day. He’s treat motivated (the way to his heart is definitely snacks), and he’s already proving how clever he is. 🥓He’s been walking right out of his kennel and heading to the door like a polite little gentleman — listening, learning, and trying his best. ☮️Chewy just needs a calm home, a little patience, and someone who understands that even brave heroes need time to adjust.
