Story
Shadow is an extremely loveable 12- or 13-year-old Chiweenie male who has been living with our elderly mother with another young 4-year-old Jack Russel mix. In August of 2025 my mom moved to New York to live with us due to her health and has been interacting with a 4-year-old Australian Shephard also. Unfortunately, Shadow is getting bullied and is now being attacked by the Jack Russel to the point where we have to keep them separated at all times. Shadow gets along well with our Aussie and tolerates our cat as long as the cat doesn't swat at him. Shadow has not been to the vet in several years, is not neutered, and appears to have cataracts. Shadow does have some resource guarding when it comes to food and his beds, he will try to bury his food bowl and drives or attempts to drive other animals away from his bowl and at times his dog bed. He is very attached to people; we are not able to continue keeping them separated and he deserves a better situation.
