Due to an upcoming move and his owner's health, his family can no longer give this special boy the care he deserves.ZANE is neutered and has lived successfully with his owner, grandson, another dog, and cats. He loves to run and play, knows sit and shake, and forms incredibly strong bonds with his people. His sweetest habit? He reaches out his paw because he wants you to hold hands with him. ❤️ At bedtime, he curls up beside his person and sleeps soundly.ZANE is watchful of his home and will bark when someone approaches or knocks. Because his experience with unfamiliar people and animals is limited, thoughtful introductions and a patient home would be best.He needs someone who wants a loyal, affectionate companion and will give him the security of a permanent home. Meet Louis! Louis was found as a stray in Joliet, Illinois. He is 2.5 years old and is a big guy at 21 pounds! If you look up Velcro dog in the dictionary, you’ll see a picture of Louis. He LOVES his person with all his heart. While he connects best with men, the nice lady who also lives in the house is OK (but Daddy is his favorite!). Louis would do best with someone who is retired or works at home. He loves to go for walks and likes exploring. He is also happy hanging out in our fenced yard and relaxing. Louis is a cuddling sweetheart that just wants to be by your side and get lots of petting. He is house trained and crate trained (although he sometimes cries while in his crate, he sits or lays down for most of the time he is crated). Louis is completely vetted and up to date on vaccinations. He has been neutered. He is heartworm negative and takes monthly heartworm prevention. Louis’ adoption donation is $300. Louis is available for adoption in the midwest region, which is comprised of: OH, KY, IL, MI, WI.
