His mom was a Chihuahua, his dad… well, let’s just say Dad is a mystery man of intrigue. Judging by Bean’s short little legs and longish body, we suspect there may have been a low-riding dachshund involved in the family tree somewhere! Whatever his recipe is, the result is absolutely delicious. This sweet nugget is expected to grow up to be around 20 pounds – the perfect portable size for tagging along on coffee runs, weekend adventures, or supervising your Target trips from the cart like the VIP he is. Bean is your classic happy-go-lucky puppy who wakes up every day like, “BEST DAY EVER!” He comes fully equipped with all the standard puppy features: • professional zoomies • expert wiggle-butt • sloppy kisses • random bursts of chaos • lap snuggle mode • and a PhD in Toy Destruction 101 At his young age, Bean would do great with other dogs, kiddos, and even cats if introduced properly. Meet Alice! Alice is a female chihuahua mix weighing in at 7 pounds. She is on the search for her fur-ever home! Alice was born in September 2019 which makes her just over 6 years old now. Poor Alice was not treated well prior to coming into rescue. It is believed she was used as a breeder dog at a backyard breeder. She has come a long way since being with her foster family. Alice needs to be treated like the queen she is- she deserves the finest things in life! She is a fun-loving little gal, but has to live life on her terms. A few things to know about Alice: she really is not fond of other dogs, unless they are little and leave her alone, but even then, she can be cranky with them. That being said, it has been determined that Alice should be the only dog in her new home. She will need an adult only home, no kids at all. Alice also needs time to get to know new people- all of her vets talked to her first, walked around the room so Alice could go to know them, then they would pick her up and she was okay with that. Alice doesn’t like people sticking their face in her face. She should be in a home without children but is good with adults who know how to handle her and be respectful. Alice is a good eater and not fussy when it comes to food. She likes car rides- her foster family has a seat that they buckle her into but it sits on the console in the middle of both adults and Alice really seems to love that! Due to her arthritis, she should go to a home without steps; she can’t go up stairs on her own. Her foster family has a ramp but most of the time they carry her outside to go potty and carry her back inside. She should be carried or have a stroller, as she should not walk that much, except for going potty and around the yard. As she gets older, she will need more care as she will develop severe arthritis, so maybe pain meds, anti inflammatories, maybe a cart; for now, she can get around and at the times she cannot, her foster parents carry her and/or use a stroller. Will you be the one to give a gal who hasn’t had a good start to life the best possible life from this point on? Alice’s adoption donation is $300. She is available for adoption in the midwest region, which is comprised of: OH, KY, IL, MI, WI. Meet Saydi! Saydi is probably about 3 1/2 years old and believed to be a chihuahua mix. This adorable little girl is going to makeSomeone VERY happy - could that someone be you?! Saydi loves for life. She is slow to warm up to people but once she does, Saydi LOVES hard. She will LIVE to make you happy. Saydi is still jumpy and needs a nice quiet understanding home. A home with small, loud children or larger dogs would be difficult for her. Saydi has thrived with cats and other small dogs though. Saydi is working on potty training, which has been difficult since the snow is taller than she is! But she is trying her hardest. Saydi is an absolute delight and has so much love in that small little body!
