Story
Hi! My name is Snickerdoodle. I was found in Bakersfield, CA. Along with my brother. We lived in a small crate, kept outside in the cold. We are safe now with our rescue in Oregon. I’m estimated to be 4 months old. I weigh approximately 7.6lbs and will stay a small dog. I’m very sweet and cuddly, but shy too. I’d do well in a home with another dog or with a family that will give me a lot of love and attention as I’m learning to trust humans and I’m ready to find my forever home. I’m up to date on my vaccines, neutered, microchipped and learning to use the potty pads and was just introduced to going outside now that I’m fully vaccinated. Once I warm up, I’m playful, but mostly love to be with my person. If you are interested in adopting me, please go directly to my rescues website at savingonepawatatimerescue.org to complete my adoption application. I look forward to meeting the family I never had to love me and give me the patience and time that I need. Love, Snickerdoodle

Story
Ghirardelli  1 year, neutered male, 12 lbs Chihuahua mix   LIKES: Snuggling is at the very top of the list! Ghirardelli loves eye gazing, hearing kind sweet words, being told he’s such a good baby. He mostly wants to be loved and adored and to be with his favorite people whenever he can. He loves walks and treats and meal times. He’s always excited to jump in the car for an adventure. He loves having a basket of toys and regularly goes and picks out the ones he wants to interact with. He also thinks the basket of slippers is a basket of toys – luckily, while he likes to chew on them, he’s relatively gentle overall.    DISLIKES: He’s not crazy about being left behind. Though he is a good boy and a good listener and understands when lovingly told, “You stay. I’ll be back.” He gets a little nervous around strangers and big dogs, and needs to be reminded that he’s safe.   PERSONALITY TRAITS: Ghirardelli is a sweet little darling boy. He arrived nervous and a bit unsure, wanting to be close, but a little timid to make eye contact. Now he loves looking in his human’s eyes. He loves to be loved! He’s smart and funny. He’s a little boy with a deep bark that comes out when he’s feeling protective or nervous. He’s always eager to have his harness put on because he knows it means walk time.    POTTY TRAINING STATUS: He took to using the doggie door within a few days. He’s good about doing his business while out on walks. He’s close to being perfect in the potty training department. He occasionally marks, and we are working on that     CRATE TRAINING STATUS: He does not like being in a crate. He’s a very attached little boy and definitely wants to share a bed with his person and be given freedom around the house.   EXTRAS/MISC.: Ghirardelli is shy at first but attached quickly to his foster Mom. Once he is comfortable with someone, he bonds very well. He's sweet and cuddly and the best snuggler. He has done very well with the two dogs in his foster home. He loves to run and would likely enjoy dog parks. Occasionally he tries to resource guard his person or his food, but he is a smart young guy who wants to please. Once he gets the message that it won't be tolerated, he stops and is easily redirected. Treats work very well for him as a motivator. Some dogs do just fine being left by themselves for a large chunks of time – Ghirardelli would not be a good fit for that type of situation.   To further inquire about GHIRARDELLI, submit an application. https://www.wigglytails.org/adoption-application   Tell us about yourself, family, other pets, and how GHIRARDELLI will mesh with your lifestyle. Qualifying applicants will be contacted by our Adoption Coordinator with next steps and an opportunity to set up a Meet & Greet.   Our process is NOT a “first come, first served” process. (We DO NOT hold pets for later consideration.) Our team carefully reviews and interviews applicants for the best possible fit for each adoptable pet, and potential family. Submitting an application does not guarantee a call or response from our rescue. Story
Nena  2 years, spayed female, 11.5 lb Chihuahua mix   LIKES: Gentle pets, comfy bedding, hanging out   DISLIKES: Sudden movements, being picked up by strangers   PERSONALITY TRAITS: Nena is shy but she warms up quickly. She likes to sit with her person in a comfy place   POTTY TRAINING STATUS: She is let out on a regular schedule and she hasn't had any issue.    CRATE TRAINING STATUS: Does just fine in a crate.   EXTRAS/MISC.: Nena can get spooked easily, so slow gentle movements are a must. She does not like rough play or to be grabbed too quickly. No small children, please. She will need to have her diet closely monitored to help her get down to a healthy weight. She's an adorable little fox and a great addition to a mature, calm household! She gets along well with the household cats and respectful doggie friends.   To further inquire about NENA, submit an application. https://www.wigglytails.org/adoption-application   Tell us about yourself, family, other pets, and how NENA will mesh with your lifestyle. Story
Denji1 year, neutered male, 10 lbPomchi (best guess) PERSONALITY TRAITS: Denji is silly and playful and likes to run and have zoomies with a buddy dog. He is a bit shy when he meets new people and takes a little time to trust. He is treat motivated, which helps him decide who the good people are. LIKES: Running, playing, making up silly games, standing on top of things like a goat, treats, snuggling with his friends. DISLIKES: Fast movements by strangers, grouchy dogs who don't appreciate his silliness POTTY TRAINING STATUS: Goes outside on a regular schedule, and has had no accidents inside his foster home. CRATE TRAINING STATUS: Crate trained, readily goes in and out on command. EXTRAS/MISC.: Denji would really benefit from having the company of another playful dog to help him adjust to his new life and give him someone to gain some confidence from. His leash skills are also very new to him, so he will need a fenced yard to allow him to potty while he's working on them. To further inquire about DENJI, submit an application.
