He also loves to burrow into a blanket for nap time.    DISLIKES: Being crated while his humans are home.    PERSONALITY TRAITS: Noodles takes a minute to warm up though, once he knows you, he’s a sweetheart. He gets along with large and small dogs, and loves to play outside. He also loves a good neck scratch and belly rubs.    POTTY TRAINING STATUS: Does all of his business outside. We recommend a belly band for inside until he is used to his new environment.   CRATE TRAINING STATUS: Will sleep in a crate at night with no protest. If you leave the door open he will go in during the day to rest.    EXTRAS/MISC.: Noodles is so sweet and loyal that he will make an amazing companion. Story
NAME: Blythe     BREED: Terrier cross (possibly with Chihuahua) AGE: 2 years  WEIGHT: 8 pounds   LIKES: Happily being all up in her people’s business, snuggly blankets, getting pets from her person, being silly with other small dogs.   DISLIKES: Uncertain and nervous in new situations, and around unfamiliar people. Strange noises startle her. Large puppies with no boundaries make her uncomfortable.   PERSONALITY TRAITS: Blythe is a Velcro-pup who can jump surprisingly high to get to her person. She also likes to be a little “birdie”, perching on chairs or couches to get closer to her person.   POTTY TRAINING STATUS: She goes outside on a regular schedule. Sometimes she will have a nervous piddle if she is picked up too fast.   CRATE TRAINING STATUS: Sleeps in a crate all night, no problems.   EXTRAS/MISC.: Blythe needs a family who is okay giving her space to settle in. She seems good with other small dogs and cats. Young children are not recommended. A meet and greet is a must for Blythe, as she seems to distrust certain people (perhaps people who remind her of her past?) and we're never quite sure who those people are going to be until you meet her. She will only blossom more with the right home dynamic and patient humans to offer her the security she craves and basic training that will build her confidence in time.    To further inquire about BLYTHE, submit an online application via our website.    https://wigglytails.org   Tell us about yourself, family, other pets, and how BLYTHE will mesh with your lifestyle.    Qualifying applicants will be contacted by our Adoption Coordinator with next steps and an opportunity to set up a Meet & Greet.    Our process is NOT a “first come, first served” process. Stu 8 months, Neutered Male, 10 lbs Chihuahua mix   PERSONALITY: Stu is such a sweet puppy and easy going with medium energy.   LIKES: He loves to be with his people. STU would love nothing more than to take his naps on a warm lap. He has fun puppy energy and loves to chew on his toys and fake bones. He loves other dogs in his foster home.   POTTY TRAINING: He is starting to let his foster family when he wants to go out to potty.   CRATE TRAINING: He does not love the crate and would much rather snuggle with someone, especially at night.   OTHER/MISC: STU hasn't shown any interest in the cats in his foster home. He is going to stay small (under 15 lbs). He has started some leash training and currently wants to lead and run ahead but isn’t bothered by being tethered to a human. Story
Hi, I'm Moolah! I'm about 3 years old and weigh 13 pounds. I have a medical release you can read more about at the shelter.Do you like dogs? I have been okay around small dogs at the shelter and would most likely do best with those around my size. Please bring any similar sized dogs for a meet at the shelter before adoption.Cats? It is unknown how I feel about cats, a slow, supervised introduction would be necessary.Kids? I might okay around small children, I will need to meet all family members before adoption.Anything else you'd like us to know, Moolah? I am a fun, spunky guy that loves to play fetch!I came into the shelter as a stray and the above information is all recommendations based on my behavior seen at the shelter. I have no known history. Expect to learn more about me after adoption. It is unknown how this animal will do in their new home as all animals can be different with each person. It is important to take this into consideration when thinking about adopting and making sure you are prepared to work with any potential medical or behavior issues that occur after adoption. My adoption fee includes my spay/neuter, current vaccinations, permanent microchip identification, certificate for a free veterinary exam, post-adoption support and more!Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me! If you think we would be a good match come on down and ask to meet me! I'm looking for my forever home and it could be with you!ADOPTION INFORMATION: If you live in the city of Eugene or in Lane County you will be purchasing a dog license in addition to the adoption fee. You will get to choose between a one year, two year, or three year license. This pet is located at Greenhill Humane Society. 88530 Greenhill Road Eugene, OR 97402 (541) 689-1503. Story
Available in TX only! Meet Rusty, a charming 6-year-old, chocolate-colored Chihuahua weighing 19 pounds of pure love! This little guy is a big fan of plush toys (though he tends to snack on them, so we're keeping an eye on that!). Rusty loves wearing clothes, not for fashion, but because he's always cold and needs to stay warm. He's house trained, fantastic on walks, and adores all people, especially kids. He's been the star of many outings, including a back-to-school haircut event, where he soaked up all the cuddles. Though Rusty is a bit of a flight risk, he's also a Velcro dog who sticks by your side. Just be mindful of food within his reach-he's a bit mischievous! Rusty is ready to bring warmth, fun, and loyalty to his forever home. Could that be with you? To see more pictures and videos, copy and paste this link. To apply directly for Rusty click the "Apply for Adoption" button. https://www.shelterluv.com/embed/animal/FODS-A-467 All our dogs come with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petcademy.org. This benefit includes free access to Petcademy's team of trainers/behaviorists, as well as access to online materials that will help you settle your new family member into your home. You can text unlimited questions to Petcademy and they'll respond within 24 hours (Monday-Friday).

Story
Hello, I'm Hank! I'm a nice senior gentleman who came to Heartland with my brother Buddy. We are best friends and need to go home together. We love to snuggle up together in bed. We are really sweet little guys who love snuggles, going on walks and spending time with you. On sunny days, I like to sunbath in the yard. I am also crate trained. I love to burrow in my blankets on a chilly day. I am an older man with lots of life experience, my vision isn't the best and I also have some dental issues. I have been around other dogs and I don't mind them at all. I also am ok with calm children once I get to know them. My brother and I are looking for a nice home to spend our golden years in. Please come to Heartland to meet me. I would like to meet your entire family including other dogs in the home. Feel free to ask staff if you have questions about my health.

Story
Hi! My name is Sebastian. I was saved by my rescue from being taken to a high kill shelter. My mom got hit by a car and didn’t make it. The owner didn’t want me and my brother. I’m a very sweet boy. Being held is my favorite thing. I don’t like to be alone. Bigger dogs make me nervous because I’m so small, they sometimes play too rough. I’m told that there’s not a mean bone in my body and I’m very submissive. I’m estimated to be 10 weeks old and I’ve had my first two sets of vaccines. I’m also microchipped. I’m not interested in cats, they don’t bother me. I’m really good with all dogs as long as they don’t play too rough. I’m learning very quickly to use the potty pad, and only sometimes I miss when I try. Overall I’m pretty good about it. I do not like the crate. I cry a lot when I’m in one because I just want to be held. If you are interested in meeting me, please go directly to my rescues website at savingonepawatatimerescue.org to complete my adoption application. I’m very excited to meet you! Love, Sebastian

Story
This is Butterbean! She is a peppy sweet lil thing who is in need of a new family by no fault of her own. Butterbean is loved dearly and is deserving of a family who can spoil her and devote more time to her than what she is getting. Butterbean was adopted as a puppy by her current family in Corvallis, OR where they lived together for almost one year. Now, they live in Central Point, OR where things are harder and they are not able to spend as much time at home with her as they used to. Butterbean is now a little over a year old and loves to smile, wrestle, play tug-of-war, do tricks for her family, run as fast as she can, snuggle with her kitty brother, go on walks and outdoor adventures, and get cozy under the blankets with her mom, Christine. Butterbean is used to being an only dog-child, but has had no problems getting along with other dogs and cats. She is very gentle with her mouth and understands so many commands! She is a very special girl looking for a special family.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Hamme - a sweet 12 year Chihuahua mix from Temecula with cute long legs.  His owner passed away and had made plans for his family to take care of him and another senior dog (see his buddy 'Roy' under available dogs) but the family neglected to do so. A friend of the rescue rescued him to prevent him from getting euthanized at the shelter. Hamme is friendly, chill, great with kids, and great with other dogs. He is house trained, crate-trained, good on a leash, and is very smart. Hamme is low-energy, loves sniffing on walks, and enjoys chilling and napping at home. Would be a good match for someone with a flexible schedule who is home to accompany him. Despite being 12 years old, he loves multiple walks a day. Please consider adopting a senior pet as they receive the least applications yet are some of the best pals!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 19, 2024, 11:24 am
