Story
Meet Kai! At just 1-year-old, Kai is still learning his manners and basic commands. Like many young dogs, he can be a little demanding when he wants attention, but his enthusiasm for life is impossible not to love. He's a happy, healthy, curious little guy who is always ready to explore the world around him. Kai loves chewing on pet-safe bones, playing with squeaky toys, sniffing everything on walks and around the house, and learning new things and spending time with his favorite people. Kai is both potty trained and crate trained, giving him a great foundation for success in his new home. He does experience separation anxiety, so he will need a patient adopter who can help him build confidence and adjust to new surroundings at his own pace. Because Kai can be nervous around fast movements and may be fearful of small children, he would do best in a home with adults or with older, respectful kids who understand how to interact with dogs appropriately. If you're looking for a fun, intelligent companion who will keep you smiling and be your loyal sidekick, Kai may be the perfect match for you! Story
**Please note this is pet is currently out of town pet but we will transport this pet to you when adopted. All fees listed include transport fees.** Meet Star! Star Hunter is a sweet and gentle 5-year-old Chihuahua mix weighing 16 pounds, with a heart as soft as her soulful eyes. She may take a little time to warm up to new people, but once she feels comfortable, her loving and loyal personality truly shines through. She forms strong bonds with her people and will happily stay close, soaking up affection and giving it right back. This lovely girl gets along wonderfully with kids, cats, and other dogs, making her a fantastic addition to just about any home. She has a calm, easygoing nature but still enjoys her walks and exploring the world by your side. Star Hunter already has great manners—she knows how to use a doggy door and does very well on a leash, making daily routines a breeze. With a little patience at the start, you’ll quickly discover what a special companion she is. Star Hunter is the kind of dog who will quietly steal your heart and become a devoted, loving member of the family. Interested in becoming a forever home for Star? Fill out our online adoption application: http://www.friendswithfourpaws.org/adoption-form.html This is the first step in our process, and we don't go any further without an application. Find more adoptable pets, news and information on Instagram @friendswithfourpaws or our Facebook page Friends with Four Paws . We put a lot of time and energy into processing our adoptions to find our babies the best fit home for them and you. Please do not submit an application if you are not serious about adopting. We are so excited to work with you to find you a new forever friend, and appreciate you working with us.For immediate consideration, please attach your application to the initial inquiry to help us expedite the process. Our adoption fee is $525. This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention and travel expenses. All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public in Oklahoma. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed. Thank you in advance for your patience with our process and for making adoption YOUR option!

Story
Rocky is available through Project POOCH. If you are interested in adoption, learn more and submit an application at pooch.org/adoptable-dogs This dapper young man is quite the gentleman and loves to be greeted each morning. He asks that you come to him and crouch down so that he might say hi. He loves playing, he will bring you his stuffies to tug with, or even throw for a round of fetch. But most of all, he loves you! Rocky is the kind of dog who just wants be involved. He would love to be your little shadow and a part of your life. Whether that is playing tug, romping in the hard, or binge watching The Office for the umpteenth time, Rocky is down to be your buddy. Rocky came to Project POOCH with his littermate, Bullwinkle. While they were originally considered to be a bonded pair, we have seen both dogs shine with some solo time and they've really enjoyed not being lumped in with the other. While they might do good in a home with space for them each to be their own, they have been flying solo at POOCH and blossoming into their own dogs. Interested in meeting Rocky? Story
Bullwinkle is available through Project POOCH. If you are interested in adoption, learn more and submit an application at pooch.org/bullwinkle Bullwinkle is a lowrider with a bit of a gym bod! This little tank of a dog is enthusiastic about snacks, play, and snuggles! For his snacks, Bullwinkle has all sorts of tricks to show you! His favorite is his meerkat impression, which is usually the first trick he goes to when he thinks there are snacks to be had (It's a good one too, because it usually results in him getting said snacks.) When playing, Bullwinkle gets really into character. He is vocal when playing tug, but it's all a game, he doesn't mean to sound so scary. It's just that he's a method actor and really needs to feel the part. However, cuddles might just be his favorite. He's a clear choice for the youth when they want some down time with a dog, because he is always down for a snuggle sesh. He is a great size to join you on the couch for movie night, small enough that he isn't crushing you, big enough to be a little lap heater. Bullwinkle came to Project POOCH with his literal brother Rocky. While they were originally considered to be a bonded pair, we have seen both dogs shine with some solo time and they've really enjoyed not being lumped in with the other. While they might do good in a home with space for them each to be their own, they have been flying solo at POOCH and blossoming into their own dogs. Interested in meeting Bullwinkle?
