Story
Hi, I’m Jasmin and I am a female Chiweenie pup born on 8-1-23 and I am looking for my forever home. On 11-8-23 at the age of 14 weeks I weighed 6 pounds 12 ounces. I came into rescue from a rough situation where there were more than 30 dogs in a small trailer. Thankfully my future foster mom was part of the rescue team – she did not hesitate to take me and my siblings into her care just as soon as the overwhelmed people in the house said that we could go into rescue. In my foster home I play with lots of other dogs and have a lot of fun all day long. I especially enjoy playing with my siblings! With a large litter, there is always someone willing to play with me. I love being in rescue because, unlike where I came from, there is plenty of good food and fresh water available to me at all times, and I love to eat! I also love playing tug-of-war with rope toys, tearing the squeakers out of plush toys, getting treats from foster mom, being cuddled and having my belly rubbed, running zoomies around the house, and exploring the house. And I know I mentioned this before, but there are three times of day that are my very favorite – breakfast, lunch, and dinner! We were so hungry in the place where we were born, and now life is so comfortable and clean and nourishing. I am one grateful and happy puppy! I am looking for my forever home where I will be loved and cared for as a member of the family. I want to go on errands with you, play with you, cuddle with you, and share our lives in a way that enriches both of us. I hope you will watch my adoption video to see me in action and see how much I love life. If you do decide you want to know more about me, please do not hesitate to reach out to my adoption coordinator and talk to my foster mom as well! I hope we can start our life together soon! This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Follow our rescue journey through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $62 surcharge for transport. DISCLAIMER- Breed type is determined based on general appearance and behavioral characteristics, and cannot be guaranteed unless DNA test results or AKC registration were provided at intake.

Story
Hi my name is Cookee, and I'm the sweetest treat of a pup that you'll ever meet. People say I remind them of cookies and cream when I give them sweet kisses on the nose or bump up and snuggle with them when they're feeling down. I am a Dachshund-Basset mix and medium sized about 30# full grown. Sitting on people's couches or laps is my favorite pastime as I get to snuggle close to the people I love, which is practically everyone! I LOVE OTHER DOGS TOO!! I definitely want a home with other dogs :) As I am a bit on the older side and lived on the streets until I was saved with my babies in my tummy. I have been living at my foster home and am ready for my forever HOME!! I will need a patient and loving family to give me a good life of exercise- LOL, playtime, treats, love, affection, and belonging. Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)

Story
In the heart of bustling San Antonio, where the streets echoed with the sounds of city life, there lived two inseparable companions named Judas Priest and Iron Maiden. They were a unique pair of dachshund/terrier mixes, each with their distinctive personalities and a bond that could weather any storm. Judas Priest, with his soulful brown eyes and a heart as warm as the Texan sun, was the elder of the two. His silky coat shimmered like polished bicolored metal :), and his gentle disposition made him the perfect match for his spirited partner. Iron Maiden, on the other hand, was a whirlwind of energy with a coat as dark as midnight. Her playful nature and boundless enthusiasm for life were contagious. Together, they were a yin and yang, perfectly complementing each other in every way. Their story began on the mean streets of San Antonio, where they faced the harsh realities of life as strays. Despite the odds, they had each other, and their unwavering love and support kept them going through thick and thin. One fateful day, a kind-hearted passerby noticed the inseparable duo, huddled together for warmth beneath a tattered cardboard box. Touched by their devotion and the spark of hope in their eyes, the Good Samaritan decided to rescue them from the streets. Judas Priest and Iron Maiden soon found themselves in a loving foster home, where they flourished. They were house trained, well-behaved, and showered their foster family with affection. However, it was clear that their bond was unbreakable, and they simply couldn't bear to be apart. Judas Priest and Iron Maiden bring boundless joy and endless laughter to their foster home, proving that love, loyalty, and the unbreakable bond between two souls could overcome even the toughest of beginnings. They are now ready for YOUR HOME!!! Adopt these two and you will seal the deal for them for the rest of their lives :) Local adoption fee is $400 (together in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $800 (together and includes transport to your area, $50 temporary fuel fee will be included)
