If you love dogs with a big heart, a total snuggle bug, one who longs to be your lap dog and best friend, but has a small frame and little legs to match? Well look no further because Meghan Peanut Markel was made for you! Not only is she incredibly sweet but she is absolutely adorable!! So get ready for your phone to be overrun with Meghan content because that’s exactly what is going to happen the second you bring her home. Watch her video and fall in love with her: https://youtu.be/cQ-ztshK1RE?si=DDNUiPAVLgaCzqzE Meghan Markel is a Dachshund mix approximately 1 year old and currently weighs about 20lbs. She’s a little girl and the perfect size for lap snuggles, which are a favorite of hers! She is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it’s always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. Meghan is a bit shy at first when meeting new people, in new environments and may take a little time to warm up, but once she does, she’s all about affection and spoiling you with her gentle love. She truly shines as a lap dog and is happiest curled up close to her person, soaking in love and giving it right back. Her energy level is beautifully balanced, not too busy and not too sleepy. Just the right amount of energy, the kind of pup who fits perfectly into your routine. She enjoys getting out for walks (and walks nicely on a leash!) but is just as content relaxing at home snuggled up next you on the couch binge watching your favorite show or movie. She’s dog-friendly and has done great with every dog we have introduced her to. She has met dogs her size and smaller and has also been around dogs twice her size! No matter the size, Meghan has shown to be a polite gentle lady when she meets a dog on leash and shows that same level of gentleness when meeting dogs off leash. She isn’t a super playful girl with other dogs; she prefers calm companionship over rough-and-tumble play. Meghan has the kind of easygoing personality that allows her to thrive in many living situations. Her well-balanced energy level and polite leash manners make her a great neighbor-friendly companion. She would also be perfectly happy in a suburban home with a backyard, where she could enjoy sniffing around, sunbathing, and lounging after her walks. While she’d appreciate outdoor access, she doesn’t rely on a yard to be fulfilled; her happiness comes from companionship, not square footage. If you’re looking for a loyal little companion who bonds deeply, loves cuddles, and brings a steady, comforting presence into your life, Meghan may be exactly who you’ve been waiting for. We are willing to test Meghan Markel with anything you need in order to ensure it's a perfect match. We can make anything happen! Just let us know. Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? Story
Don’t let the name fool you—while Hercules may be small in size, his personality (and heart) is absolutely larger than life. This one-year-old Chihuahua/Terrier mix is a total superstar when it comes to being the perfect companion. He’s happy, affectionate, playful, and just an all-around good boy who seems to understand that life is meant to be enjoyed. Hercules is the kind of dog who brings a warm, joyful energy wherever he goes. He loves to play and will happily engage in a game of tug, chase, or toy toss, but he’s just as content settling in for some quality cuddle time. He adores pets and attention, and he leans right into affection like he’s been waiting for it all day. Watch his YouTube video now https://youtu.be/p9gnGiISXEc?si=aN5Y6F8KtPso_qV3 He’s met kids and has done amazing—he’s friendly, easygoing, and loves being included. Hercules truly seems to think everyone he meets is his new best friend, and he greets the world with a happy, open heart. On walks, Hercules shines—he walks nicely on a leash and enjoys getting out to explore the world. He’s curious, engaged, and takes everything in with a happy, easygoing attitude. Whether you live in an apartment or a home with a yard, Hercules will fit right in as long as he gets his daily dose of love, play, and companionship. What really makes Hercules special is his sweet, loving nature. He has that “best friend” energy—the kind of dog who will always be excited to see you, always ready to brighten your day, and always down to just hang out and be your little shadow. He’s also got a playful, slightly silly side that makes him endlessly entertaining. Expect little zoomies, happy hops, and moments where you can’t help but laugh at his antics. He’s the kind of dog who turns a house into a home. Story
Peanut may be tiny, but don’t let his size fool you—this little Chihuahua/wire-haired terrier mix has a BIG personality. At around two months old, Peanut is a playful, goofy, tail-wagging machine who is fully committed to living life as one big adventure. Peanut is the kind of puppy who turns everything into a game. Got a toy? It’s his favorite. Got another toy? Also his favorite. Got a sock? Well… that might be his most favorite. He loves to bounce around, play tug, and zoom in happy little circles like he just discovered joy for the first time (every single time). His playful energy is contagious, and it’s nearly impossible not to smile when he’s around. Watch his YouTube video now https://youtu.be/VaHXt10YCaA?si=iZMbNbyHGGT8bm_d He’s also wonderfully social and loves being part of the action. Whether you’re playing, moving around the house, or just existing nearby, Peanut wants to be involved. He’s curious, silly, and full of that classic puppy mischief that keeps life interesting. Because Peanut is still a baby, he’ll need a family ready to commit to all the important puppy basics—potty training, structure, patience, and lots of positive reinforcement. He’s not going to come pre-programmed, but that’s part of the magic. Watching him learn and grow will be one of the most rewarding experiences. Peanut is looking for a home that will embrace his playful spirit, guide him with love, and give him plenty of time and attention. In return, he’ll bring nonstop laughter, endless affection, and a lifetime of loyalty packed into one tiny, wiggly little pup. https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/69b486679f183a9ac005b9e2 Questions?
