Sweet, silly, SMART and lovable goofball is looking for HER people. Boo wants to be the star of your show! Boo has a heart murmur, but that doesn't stop her from miles long walks or mild hikes, car rides, and endless play with any soft toy that squeaks! Tug is a favorite of hers and the only time she growls, unless you're a stranger. After all of that activity, she loves to curl up next to you and nap. Don't get me wrong, she's also an excellent couch potato, who would love to sleep under the covers at your feet. She does well with cats and dogs, but really wants ALL your attention. If your looking for a sidekick, she's your girl. She wants to be or go wherever you go. If you leave a car door open, you'll find her waiting for you, ready to go! Like a typical Chiweenie, she's territorial in her home and on leash. She will bark at visitors, but doesn't "guard." A home with no young kids would be best. She doesn't do well with yelling or rough housing.

Story
Meet Skittles! A tiny little Chihuahua with the confidence of a 90-pound security guard and the emotional needs of a spoiled baby prince. This little dude is HILARIOUS. He walks around like he owns the entire planet while being approximately the size of a TV remote. One minute he’s giving dramatic tiny-man warnings to big dogs like: “BACK UP I AM VERY INTIMIDATING.” …and the next minute he’s rolling onto his back for tummy rubs and kissing his Chihuahua friends on the face. Honestly, Skittles is all bark, no bite, and mostly just vibes. Watch Skittle's video here to see her personality best! https://youtu.be/yFBs25IGTxM?si=D0Sn9z5gttyu0oXn He definitely has a little “big dog trapped in a tiny body” energy when meeting larger dogs at first, but it’s honestly more comedy than conflict. He likes to do his tiny grumbly announcements for personal space, but then he’ll usually go sniff them politely and continue on with his day like nothing happened. He never escalated or tried to cause problems — he just wants everybody to know he is a VERY serious little man. With small dogs though? Total social butterfly. Sweet, friendly, kissy, and adorable. He even gave little kisses to his Chihuahua buddy during the assessment because apparently he is also secretly a lover boy. And PEOPLE? Oh this boy LOVES people. Skittles is affectionate in the most dramatic tiny-dog way possible. He wants snuggles. He wants kisses. He wants to roll around upside down like a little possum while you tell him he’s handsome. He truly believes attention should be available to him at all times, and honestly, he’s cute enough that it’s hard to argue with him. And can we discuss his LOOKS for a second? This dog has gigantic little satellite ears, a tiny bowtie, little speckled legs, and the facial expressions of a grumpy retired grandfather who secretly cries during movies. He genuinely looks like a cartoon dog somebody designed specifically to make people smile. He also did wonderfully with cats and overall showed himself to be a really socially smart little guy. Even when another dog got grumbly over food, Skittles simply walked away because he’s actually pretty emotionally balanced underneath all the tiny-man theatrics. Honestly, Skittles is the kind of dog that turns ordinary life into a sitcom. He’s funny, cuddly, expressive, sweet, and absolutely overflowing with personality. He’s not just a Chihuahua. He’s a lifestyle. Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? Apply today! https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/6a05e53de3561ab1ab06188b Questions? Meet Grand Slam! Grand Slam is a 3-month-old Terrier/Chihuahua mix puppy weighing approximately 5.6 pounds. This tiny girl is packed full of joy, energy, and enough personality to keep everyone entertained. With her adorable black-and-white spotted coat and constantly wagging tail, Grand Slam seems to wake up every day convinced it’s going to be the best day ever. Watch Grand Slam's video here! https://youtu.be/z-FK4g13nCI?si=_8r-0p-U5bbzOy6W She loves to run, chase, wrestle, and play with her siblings. Whether she’s zooming across the yard, splashing in her little wading pool, or playing a game of chase, Grand Slam is happiest when she’s having fun. One of her favorite activities is finding a toy and proudly keeping it away from her siblings while they try to catch her. When she’s not busy being a tiny athlete, Grand Slam is all about the snuggles. She loves being held, enjoys belly rubs, and happily settles in for cuddle time after a busy day of adventures. Like the rest of her litter, Grand Slam is currently working on potty training and crate routines. She sleeps with her siblings, wakes once during the night for a potty break, and then heads right back to dreamland. Grand Slam is the perfect combination of playful, affectionate, and endlessly entertaining. She’s ready to hit a home run straight into someone’s heart. https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/6a06420035a85199d203a59d Questions? Story
From the very first moment I met Sissy Girl, the first thing that came to my mind was how friendly she is! She is the definition of a social butterfly and can easily be deemed your personal cheerleader who will always have you smiling and will always brighten your day. She is incredibly dog friendly, smart, petite, and will check off all your boxes! Watch her video and fall in love with her personality: https://youtu.be/O3y2OtrdK_Y?si=VZfIs2rw2oGeH7ab Sissy Girl is believed to be a Dachshund mix approximately 2 years old and currently weighs 39 lbs. With rescue dogs, it’s always a bit of a mystery and we can’t guarantee breed, but we’d confidently say she got the best of everything. The ears, the legs, the tail, and the happy personality to match. She’s the definition of fun-sized. So don’t let her pictures fool you. She’s a short gal and the perfect in-between size. Not too big, not too small… just right! It's a given this bundle of joy is absolutely adorable and such a happy gal, but she is so much more than that. She loves every person she meets, she knows no stranger! Connections with her are instantaneous. When people first meet her, they instantly comment on how adorable and friendly she is! The most common phrase used by everyone who meets her is something along the lines of how sweet and friendly she is. Sissy is such a go-with-the-flow type of girly who is happy regardless of where she is or who she is with. It's almost impossible not to immediately fall for her friendly and goofy personality. Sissy is very dog friendly and loves to make friends with other dogs. She has been around dogs with all different temperaments, from large dominant males to submissive quiet ladies and playful party pups. Sissy loves making new friends and has the best time romping around, playing chase, sharing toys, and also relaxing with her pals. Sissy would do great in a home with another dog that enjoys the company of other dogs, likes to engage in lighthearted games of chase, and wants a pal to explore with. Sissy even did great with a dog smaller than her and it was like prince charming had walked into the room. Watching her try to get him to love her was the cutest thing. You’ll see exactly what we are talking about in her video if you haven’t watched it already. It’s the best! Sissy also met our house cat Biggie and met him appropriately and was very respectful around him. She did not chase Biggie, nor was she bothered by Biggie jumping or doing what cats do. Biggie also felt comfortable around her as well. We do not know if she has ever lived in a home before with a cat, and this was our first time seeing her with one. If you have a cat in the home, we can arrange for her to have a sleepover with a cat upon request. Just let us know! When it comes to training, Sissy loves treats and will do anything for a tasty snack! She already knows how to sit and does it on command, walks well on a leash, and is crate and potty trained too. She will be a great dog to take with you on walks at the park, or even potential trips to the beach. Her ideal home would have a backyard where she can zoom around, play with her toys, and sunbathe during those nice summer days. She also has the potential to thrive in an apartment or condo. She loves people and is a social butterfly, so if you're someone who likes to host or have friends over for backyard BBQs, Sissy will be right there in the midst of all the entertainment. I'm sure she will be one of the main talking points in all your conversations as well. Sissy has such a well-balanced personality. She’s happy, silly, adventurous, and cuddly all at once. She loves toys (especially stuffy toys), and is great at entertaining herself when needed. She would be a wonderful fit for a semi-active family, but she’s also calm enough to be a great companion for someone who works from home. She’s just as happy going on a mini adventure as she is relaxing by your side afterward. Sissy would also make a wonderful companion for a family with kids! She has been around kids and absolutely adores them. So get ready to hear those big belly laugh from your children because Sissy will have them laughing none stop. We are willing to test Sissy Girl with anything you need in order to ensure it's a perfect match. We can make anything happen! Just let us know. Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life?
