From the very first moment I met Sissy Girl, the first thing that came to my mind was how friendly she is! She is the definition of a social butterfly and can easily be deemed your personal cheerleader who will always have you smiling and will always brighten your day. She is incredibly dog friendly, smart, petite, and will check off all your boxes! Watch her video and fall in love with her personality: https://youtu.be/O3y2OtrdK_Y?si=VZfIs2rw2oGeH7ab Sissy Girl is believed to be a Dachshund mix approximately 2 years old and currently weighs 39 lbs. With rescue dogs, it’s always a bit of a mystery and we can’t guarantee breed, but we’d confidently say she got the best of everything. The ears, the legs, the tail, and the happy personality to match. She’s the definition of fun-sized. So don’t let her pictures fool you. She’s a short gal and the perfect in-between size. Not too big, not too small… just right! It's a given this bundle of joy is absolutely adorable and such a happy gal, but she is so much more than that. She loves every person she meets, she knows no stranger! Connections with her are instantaneous. When people first meet her, they instantly comment on how adorable and friendly she is! The most common phrase used by everyone who meets her is something along the lines of how sweet and friendly she is. Sissy is such a go-with-the-flow type of girly who is happy regardless of where she is or who she is with. It's almost impossible not to immediately fall for her friendly and goofy personality. Sissy is very dog friendly and loves to make friends with other dogs. She has been around dogs with all different temperaments, from large dominant males to submissive quiet ladies and playful party pups. Sissy loves making new friends and has the best time romping around, playing chase, sharing toys, and also relaxing with her pals. Sissy would do great in a home with another dog that enjoys the company of other dogs, likes to engage in lighthearted games of chase, and wants a pal to explore with. Sissy even did great with a dog smaller than her and it was like prince charming had walked into the room. Watching her try to get him to love her was the cutest thing. You’ll see exactly what we are talking about in her video if you haven’t watched it already. It’s the best! Sissy also met our house cat Biggie and met him appropriately and was very respectful around him. She did not chase Biggie, nor was she bothered by Biggie jumping or doing what cats do. Biggie also felt comfortable around her as well. We do not know if she has ever lived in a home before with a cat, and this was our first time seeing her with one. If you have a cat in the home, we can arrange for her to have a sleepover with a cat upon request. Just let us know! When it comes to training, Sissy loves treats and will do anything for a tasty snack! She already knows how to sit and does it on command, walks well on a leash, and is crate and potty trained too. She will be a great dog to take with you on walks at the park, or even potential trips to the beach. Her ideal home would have a backyard where she can zoom around, play with her toys, and sunbathe during those nice summer days. She also has the potential to thrive in an apartment or condo. She loves people and is a social butterfly, so if you're someone who likes to host or have friends over for backyard BBQs, Sissy will be right there in the midst of all the entertainment. I'm sure she will be one of the main talking points in all your conversations as well. Sissy has such a well-balanced personality. She’s happy, silly, adventurous, and cuddly all at once. She loves toys (especially stuffy toys), and is great at entertaining herself when needed. She would be a wonderful fit for a semi-active family, but she’s also calm enough to be a great companion for someone who works from home. She’s just as happy going on a mini adventure as she is relaxing by your side afterward. Sissy would also make a wonderful companion for a family with kids! She has been around kids and absolutely adores them. So get ready to hear those big belly laugh from your children because Sissy will have them laughing none stop. We are willing to test Sissy Girl with anything you need in order to ensure it's a perfect match. We can make anything happen! Just let us know. Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? Story
Meet Darrell! This tiny, ridiculously handsome little guy is about a year old and we believe he may be a Dachshund/chihuahua mix. With his short legs, speckled paws, expressive eyebrows, and permanent "I know something you don't know" grin, Darrell looks like he walked straight out of a cartoon. At first glance, Darrell can come across as a tough guy. In reality, he's more like a tiny security guard who takes his job a little too seriously. His job? Making sure his favorite people are safe and properly loved. Watch Darrell in action in his video! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vTR5fmcZ9EM Once Darrell decides you're one of his people, you're in. He absolutely adores his trusted humans and turns into a total cuddle bug. He's perfectly lap-sized, loves curling up next to his family, and thinks car rides are one of the greatest inventions of all time. If you're headed somewhere, Darrell would like to come too. He also loves having a routine. His crate is his cozy little bedroom, and he happily trots right inside when it's time to relax. Predictability helps him feel safe, and he's the kind of dog who thrives when he knows what to expect. Darrell currently lives with dogs and cats and does very well with both. He's generally pretty aloof with other dogs, preferring to mind his own business rather than get involved in puppy politics. He gets along well with dogs who respect personal space and don't constantly pester him. He also lives with cats and has learned that after one firm feline correction, it's best to mind your own business. Smart guy. Now for the important part: Darrell is not a dog who enjoys strangers getting in his face or handling him before trust has been built. He can absolutely be mouthy when he's uncomfortable and may snap or bite if his boundaries are ignored. He's not being mean—he's just very clear about his feelings and expects people to listen. Because of this, Darrell needs an adopter who understands dog body language and respects that relationships take time. Darrell thrives on routine and predictability. He loves his crate, enjoys knowing what's coming next, and settles beautifully into home life. His foster reports that he has experienced occasional seizures throughout his life, but they have been rare and have never stopped him from being a happy, adventurous little dog. Car rides, lap time, snacks, and spending time with his favorite people are still at the top of his priority list. Because of his medical history and his preference for limited stranger handling, Darrell will be adopted as-is. Future adopters should be comfortable monitoring his health alongside their veterinarian, but overall he continues to enjoy a fantastic quality of life and spends his days doing what he does best: being an adorable little sidekick. The good news? Once he trusts you, he's incredibly loving, loyal, and affectionate. The bond he forms with his people is something special. He's not looking for a hundred friends. He's looking for his family. His ideal home would be a quieter household with older children or adults who appreciate a dog with a little sass and a lot of personality. No apartments for this guy—he can be a bit chatty when he has opinions, and Darrell definitely has opinions. Darrell is the canine version of that grumpy old man who secretly has a heart of gold. He's funny, loyal, adorable, and full of character. He won't love everyone, but if he chooses you, you'll have one of the most devoted little sidekicks around. And honestly? That's kind of what makes him so special. 🖤🐾✨ Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? Story
Duke is the life of the party and the definition of a happy, playful puppy. This little guy has so much personality packed into his tiny body, and he uses every bit of it to make sure everyone around him is smiling. He’s always on the move, always ready to play, and always looking for his next bit of fun. Duke has that goofy, lovable energy that makes him impossible not to adore. He’ll bounce around with his siblings, zoom across the room, and then suddenly stop to look at you like, “Did you see that?!”—he’s truly a character. Watch his YouTube video now https://youtu.be/jooUMvEZY6I?si=F7fPQIw7m0ey7kSO And let’s talk about his true love in life: treats. Duke is completely, unapologetically obsessed. If you have snacks, you instantly become his favorite person. He’ll try his very best to impress you with his puppy charm, and honestly… it works every time. This also makes him incredibly eager to learn and easy to train as he grows. At just around four months old, Duke is still a baby with a big world ahead of him. He’s curious, friendly, and loves being part of the action. He enjoys being around people and would thrive in a home where he can get lots of attention, playtime, and, of course, the occasional treat. Duke is the kind of puppy who will keep you laughing, keep you moving, and keep your heart full. If you’re looking for a fun-loving, happy companion, Duke is ready to be your best buddy. https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/69bd8a4ca30bd0bdeb0f604e Questions? Story
**Boo is not currently in the direct care of Happy Tails Happy Homes. Her current family is lovingly searching for the right forever home for her due to a job change and lifestyle shift — through absolutely no fault of Boo. If you think Boo could be the perfect addition to your family, please fill out an application here: https://www.happytailshappyhomes.org/adoptionform ** Meet Boo 🐾💖 Boo is a 9-year-old wirehaired Dachshund/Chihuahua mix with a huge personality packed into one adorable little body. She’s sweet, silly, SMART, food-motivated, and absolutely convinced she should be the center of your universe — and honestly, she deserves it. 👑🐶 This lovable goofball still has plenty of pep in her step! Despite having a heart murmur and taking Vetmedin twice daily, Boo loves long walks, mild hikes, squeaky toys, tug-of-war, and zooming around the house like a puppy. After playtime, she transforms into the ultimate cuddle bug who wants nothing more than to curl up next to you (preferably under the blankets at your feet). 🧸✨ Boo is looking for a calm, patient, dog-savvy home. She can be anxious around new people and loud environments, and she’ll bark when strangers come by because she takes her “tiny security guard” duties very seriously. 🚨😂 Once she trusts you, though, she is deeply loyal and affectionate. She would do best in a quieter home without young children, as yelling or roughhousing can make her nervous. She gets along with other dogs but would really thrive as an only pet where she can soak up all the attention. Cats are not her favorite, and squirrels, birds, and cows absolutely must be barked at. 🐿️🐦🐄 Boo comes with full medical records, is on Simparica for flea prevention, and is ready to find the person who will love her exactly as she is — quirky, cuddly, vocal, and full of heart. ❤️

Story
**Charlie and Cody: Bonded Dachshund-Corgi Mix Brothers**   Charlie and Cody are gentle, reserved brothers, approx. 15 months old, both neutered. They were left at the shelter with their three sisters, and after being separated from them, the boys formed a strong bond. Now, they are affectionate and starting to enjoy life in the Pacific Northwest. They are gradually building trust with their foster family and getting used to their new home. Both are safe, well-fed, and comfortable. They are up to date on vaccinations and have no known health issues, so they are ready for adoption. Their foster home does not have a fenced yard, and because Cody and Charlie are still settling in, they have not yet started using harnesses or going for walks on a leash.  We hope the boys can be adopted together into a home with a fenced yard, so they have a safe place for potty breaks and can learn to walk on a harness and leash. Cody and Charlie might be shy at first, but they are curious and want to connect with people. They are motivated by food and will gladly take treats from your hand. They like being spoken to and respond well to a gentle voice. With time, patience, and love, they will become devoted companions. We prefer adopters who have experience with shy or untrained dogs, or who are open to guidance, to help the boys adjust smoothly to their new home. We do not know if they have been around children, so we recommend a home without kids or with children over 12. The Corgi-Dachshund mix, also known as a “Dorgi,” was first bred by Queen Elizabeth of the UK. Because they have a prey drive, they should not live with small animals or cats . **Adopting Cody and  Charlie **  To  adopt Cody and Charlie, please use the link below. One of our volunteers will review your application, follow up with you to ask questions, address any concerns, and see if you are a good match for these pups. If you are a match, the next step will be a meet-and-greet. Please use a computer to fill out the application, as tablets and cell phones may cause issues. The boys now eat a human-grade diet that avoids kibble and focuses on healthy, dog-specific food. We will teach their adopters about proper diet and nutrition. The adoption fee for adopting the boys together is $595 and includes neuter, all vaccines, and a microchip. www.smallpupsrescue.org  June 18, 2026, 6:48 pm

Locate in Oregon and ready to show you how cute she is. Squirt is tiny, hilarious, affectionate, and absolutely full of personality. At around 3 months old, this little girl already acts like the world was designed specifically for fun. She is constantly finding new ways to make people laugh without even trying. Everything she does somehow turns into a comedy show — the way she carries toys that are way too big for her, the way she dramatically pounces during playtime, the way she zooms two feet and suddenly decides cuddle time sounds better. She has such a sweet and loving temperament. Squirt adores people and wants to be involved in everything. The second you sit down, she’s climbing into your lap or gently asking for attention with the cutest little face imaginable. She loves pets, belly rubs, cuddles, and just being close to people. She’s one of those puppies who already seems to understand how special affection is. Watch her YouTube video now https://youtu.be/YXPibXE5m0Y?si=Ybl5pGECRV5qDk_K Squirt also loves playing with other dogs and gets so excited whenever she has puppy friends around. She has this bouncy little hop she does when she wants another puppy to chase her, and it is ridiculously cute. She’s playful without being overwhelming and has a really nice balance of energy and calmness. She can have the time of her life wrestling with toys and playing games, then happily settle down afterward for a nap. Her goofy personality is what really makes her unforgettable. She has this curious little attitude where she investigates absolutely everything like it’s the most fascinating thing she has ever seen. She makes ordinary moments feel fun just by being herself. Squirt is the kind of puppy who will keep her future family smiling every single day. She is sweet, funny, affectionate, and impossible not to adore. https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/69f8cfffc0cec757170147e4 Questions? Story
There is just something about Violet that makes people smile the second they meet her. Maybe it’s the way she bounces toward you with her tiny puppy confidence, or the way she somehow manages to look both incredibly sweet and completely mischievous at the exact same time. Violet is around two months old and already has such a happy little personality. She loves people with her whole heart and is the kind of puppy who immediately melts into affection the moment you start petting her. She adores cuddles, attention, and being included in whatever is happening around her. Violet has the funniest little playful side. She gets excited over absolutely everything — toys, blankets, leaves moving outside, another puppy walking by, someone sitting on the floor with her. She has this adorable goofy way of hopping around when she plays that makes it impossible not to laugh. She isn’t wild or overwhelming at all; she just has that happy puppy energy that fills a room with fun. She can entertain herself with a toy for ten minutes straight and somehow make it look like the greatest adventure ever created. Watch her YouTube video now https://youtu.be/YXPibXE5m0Y?si=Ybl5pGECRV5qDk_K She absolutely loves other dogs and is happiest when she has a playmate to tumble around with. Watching her play is honestly hilarious because every movement she makes is dramatic and silly in the cutest way possible. One minute she’s confidently chasing another puppy, the next she’s rolling over her own feet and looking completely proud of herself anyway. She has such a gentle, sweet-hearted nature underneath all her goofy little antics. And when playtime is over, Violet turns right back into a cuddly baby. She settles down so nicely and loves curling up close for naps and pets. She is the kind of puppy who will happily fall asleep beside you after a long play session, completely content just being near her people. Violet is going to grow into such a loving companion for a family lucky enough to call her theirs. She brings joy everywhere she goes and has the kind of personality that people remember instantly. https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/69f8d013ef112f5398077d7f Questions?
