Story
We fostered Copper when he was 6 months old and foster failed. His past before us is unknown - he was found wandering the streets in Delta. He came to us afraid of everything and we did him a disservice by not socializing him more. I have been working with a trainer on some of his behavioral issues and he is eager to learn and highly food motivated. Copper has lived in peace with our other 2 dogs for the last two years, however he started to show increasingly jealous aggression towards them and had a nasty fight that injured our whippet. For this reason, we are seeking to rehome him with an owner where he can be an only dog. Copper is not a bad dog but he is showing definite signs that he prefers people to dogs. Copper is high energy and needs a fenced yard. He is kennel trained but never stays in for more than 3 hours. He loves sunshine, squeaky toys and belly rubs. Copper never has accidents in the house, sleeps through the night, and eats a grain-free diet.

Story
Daisey is a beautiful 7 month old puppy who is really sweet, loves attention, and is house trained using a doggie door. She is playful and can be a little vocal at times, but overall she’s a loving, affectionate girl. She has an alert personality, is good around children, and good with other dogs. She can be skiddish around strangers. She is kennel trained. Unfortunately, my new landlord will not allow pets and with housing prices in town, I don’t have other options. She would make a loving and loyal companion for any family or individual. Please give this pretty girl a new forever home, thank you ❤️

Story
Bali came to us when her mom entered hospice care. There was no family to take over the care of her very loved pups. Bali is a sweet 15 year old grandma chihuahua who gets along with other mellow dogs and loves her humans. She gives lots of kisses and would be a great companion for a senior adopter! Due to her age, Bali does seem to have dementia but she is still a very happy girl! She just likes having a consistent home environment. She is currently thriving in her foster home! Adopting a senior dog in need is such a special gift! It's a different kind of love. We would love to invite you to adopt Bali and give her the best rest of her life! We do not see Adopt-a-Pet inquiries! Please visit our website www.grandrivershumane.org to fill out an adoption application and learn more about our upcoming adoption event locations.
