Story
We acquired Luke from the Hall County animal shelter. His original name was Kevin, but we thought Luke fit him much better. He was such a cute and sweet dog that we could not leave without him. He’s 1 year and almost 2 months old. So he’s still a puppy. He is very active with a lot of energy. We have his DNA report and all his medical records. He is mostly a Husky, Dalmatian, and Great Pyrenees mix breed. He is house trained and can sit, lay, go to place, play fetch (use command ‘out’ and point to ground, and he’ll drop the ball). He has a sweet temperament and loves the company of others. He would do well living with another dog and a big area to play and run. We are looking to rehome him due to a new job. The new job requires long hours away from home. Luke would be miserable without company. Plus we do not want to crate him for extended periods of time. We are looking for a good home for Luke. Someone who will love and play with him.

Story
If you’re looking for a tiny best friend who will happily follow you from room to room, look no further—Lando is your guy. This 4-year-old Chihuahua has perfected the art of being a “Velcro dog.” At just 11 pounds, he’s the ideal lap size, which is exactly where he prefers to be! Lando is a gentle, quiet soul who loves giving kisses and snuggling with kids. He’s a true couch potato who would choose a cozy movie marathon over a long run any day. When he does venture outside, he enjoys life at a slower pace—taking his time with sniffing adventures and polite, easy leash walks. A total gentleman, Lando gets along wonderfully with other dogs and even cats. With his sweet nature and loving heart, he’s ready to bring warmth, comfort, and companionship to a home that has room for a little dog and a lot of love. Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies. Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered. Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption. Inquiries - If you would like more information on any dogs in the rescue, please email us at info@herorescue.org.
