Story
A HANDSOME LITTLE DUDE:  Approx. 4 years old / Approx. 16 lbs. Hi there, I’m Bam Bam! I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control, and I’m so happy to be here receiving the care and love I deserve. Thanks to the cold weather, I had the chance to spend a few short stays in a temporary foster home - and I had a lot of fun there! I’ll be back at the shelter soon, ready to meet my new family, hopefully very soon.  I’m currently in the prison/foster training program off-site and learning a lot!  Please inquire at 770-272-6888 to find out when I’m available to meet.  • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts, and we all agree that I should be your only dog. When I see other dogs on my walks, I just need my attention diverted from them and the trainers can show you how to do this. / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so let’s meet and best no very young kids as I may not like being restrained/hugged - as I didn’t care for this during my vetting but did much better and enjoyed cuddling with the adults in my temp. foster home.  • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  In my temporary foster home, I quickly won hearts with my loving, playful personality and happy energy. I warm up quickly with women, and while it takes me a little longer with men, after about 4 days I was happily cuddling with my foster dad. I can be a bit insecure and am truly looking for a home where I’ll feel safe, loved, and supported - having someone who works from home or is around often would be wonderful for me.  At the Mostly Mutts shelter, the volunteers describe me as friendly, fun, and a bit vocal (there’s a lot going on there!). I walked nicely to the Paw Spa for my bath and, while I was a bit nervous of the sprayer at first, I soon relaxed and enjoyed the shampoo and gentle scratches. / Energy Level: 6-8 in my temp. foster home, lower at the shelter.            • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I’m in the Mostly Mutts University training program and have already mastered the ‘sit’, ‘come’, and ‘leave it’ commands and I also accept friendly strangers without jumping.  I’m excited to keep learning more! I can be barrier reactive when I’m in my crate or on a leash, but I’m working on that with a trainer, and they’ll be happy to guide my future family as well.  In my temp. foster home, I showed just how smart I am - on my very first walk, I knew exactly which driveway was mine and walked right back up to the house. My foster was amazed and asked, “how in the world did he know?” / At the MM shelter, I bark in my crate and am a little hesitant to come out, though once out, I have been friendly.  In my temp. foster home, I did not need to be crated, and I slept very well on a dog bed. / My potty manners have been good in my temp. foster home and at Mostly Mutts, too. • LIKES/DISLIKES: I love being with my people and will happily stay right by your side whenever I can.  Playing with my toys is one of my favorite things, especially fetch!  I also enjoy going for walks, soaking up pets and kisses, and I’ve got a special soft spot for the female in my temp. foster home. / In my temp. foster home, loud unknown noises startle me and I’m not a fan of being left alone or spending much time in a crate.  Like all dogs, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered.  I didn’t care for being restrained during my vetting so a muzzle helped and I’m being trained to be more comfortable with a muzzle – just ask how that’s going. I’m looking for a loving and stable home where I’ll be cherished! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  February 6, 2026, 7:55 am
