Hi, I'm Henry! I'm a 10-year-old Chihuahua weighing in at a perfect 10 pounds of cuddle. If you're looking for a quiet little sidekick who believes the best place in the world is curled up next to their favorite person, I think we should meet. For most of my life, I enjoyed being the center of someone's world. These days I share my home with a big, energetic dog who always wants to play and a busy family with young kids. They're all nice enough, but honestly...it's just a little too much excitement for a guy like me. I especially find toddlers confusing, and I prefer to admire them from a safe distance. Loud, busy homes just aren't my style anymore. What is my style? Peace and quiet. A comfy couch. A cozy dog bed on the floor at night. A human who enjoys relaxing as much as I do. I'm affectionate, chill, food-motivated, independent when you need me to be, and always ready to snuggle when you're sitting down. I'm not protective of my toys or food—I simply want to be close to my favorite person. I'm used to having free run of the house and do just fine when left alone for a couple of hours, and I've even managed longer days when necessary. I like the idea of going on adventures, but once I'm in the car, I usually decide I'd rather be back home on the couch. Other dogs can make me a little nervous, so my dream home would either be as your one and only or with another calm, respectful small dog who understands personal space. Most of all, I'm looking for someone who will appreciate a gentle senior who just wants to love and be loved. If your idea of a perfect evening includes a blanket, a good show, and a tiny best friend snuggled beside you, I think I've been waiting for you.
