Story
Hi there! My name is Juno, and I'm a 7-year-old Chihuahua with 11 pounds of love, loyalty, and just the right amount of personality. If you're looking for a little companion who enjoys the quieter side of life, I think we should meet. Life has taken me on a bit of an unexpected journey. I originally came to my current person as a foster after a family member could no longer keep me. When it became clear my first family wasn't coming back for me, my foster happily stepped up. Unfortunately, health issues now mean they can no longer care for me either. None of this is my fault—I'm simply hoping my next home will be my forever one. At home, I'm an easy roommate. I spend most of my time relaxing indoors, but I also enjoy exploring a securely fenced yard. I sleep in bed with my person because, honestly, that's one of my favorite places to be! When my human needs to be away, I'm trustworthy enough to have free run of the house for up to about five hours. I walk nicely on a loose leash and enjoy taking in the sights and smells without dragging you down the sidewalk. I've lived peacefully with cats and have done very well with them. I haven't had the chance to spend time around children or other dogs, so I'd be happiest in a calm home where I don't have to figure all of that out. One thing you should know is that I like my meals to myself. I'm protective of my food, so it's best if everyone simply lets me eat in peace. It's an easy thing to manage, and I appreciate people who understand my boundaries. My dream home is a relaxed, quiet place without children, where I can be someone's little shadow, warm the bed at night, and remind you every day that the best things really do come in small packages. If you're ready for a devoted little friend, I'll be waiting.

Story
Hi, I’m Seven! I’m a 7-year-old, 12-pound Chihuahua with a soft white coat and a big love for cozy living. If your idea of a great afternoon involves a couch, a blanket, and a little dog tucked beside you, I think we’re going to get along very well. I’m an affectionate, gentle and pretty chill guy. I enjoy going for walks and I’m great on a leash, but I’m equally happy spending the day lounging on the couch. My favorite place might be snuggled underneath a blanket with my person. I know “sit” and “stay,” I’m crate trained, and I’m friendly when meeting new people. I’ve lived with a cat before and even enjoyed playing with him. I’ve also lived with other dogs and generally do well with them. Funny enough, I’m often more interested in making friends with the big dogs than dogs my own size! If another dog gets too pushy, I may bark to ask for some space. I lived with a toddler and have always been gentle, but little-kid energy can overwhelm me. I’d probably be happiest with adults or older children who understand when a little guy needs some quiet time. My family loves me, but their lives have changed and they know I deserve a home that can better meet my needs. I’m ready for a quieter next chapter with plenty of companionship, blankets, and someone who appreciates a sweet little couch potato like me.

Story
Hi, I’m Jasmine! I’m a 13-year-old, 15-pound Chihuahua with a soft brown coat, a snuggly side, and a whole lot of love for the people I trust. My life is changing through no fault of my own. My person is going through a divorce and relocating to a home where I can’t come along, and sadly, there isn’t another family member able to keep me. Saying goodbye is incredibly difficult for my person, so finding me a kind, patient home would mean the world to both of us. I’m a senior lady, and have developed a heart murmur. However I still have plenty of energy to enjoy life! I manage stairs on my own and love a daily walk of a mile or more. I do well on a leash and get along with other dogs I meet. Honestly, some of my favorite activities require very little athletic ability: cuddling and belly rubs! At home, I’m used to having free run of the house, and at night you’ll find me either sleeping in bed with my person or tucked into my own dog bed. I have lived with a child from the time she was 1 until age 11, and while I can be nervous around children, I’m also gentle. My foster has been taking me on regular outings and I am learning to meet and feel comfortable around new people. Once you get to know me, you’ll discover that I’m incredibly loving, loyal, protective, and snuggly. What I really need is someone who understands that trust doesn’t always happen overnight. Treat me with kindness, patience, and respect, and give me time to settle in. Once you’re part of my trusted circle, I’ll be very happy to repay you with loyalty, cuddles, and plenty of requests for belly rubs.
