Meet Sherman: Sherman is estimated to be about a 2 year old (as of August 2025) chihuahua / Jack Russel terrier mix that weighs around 10 pounds. Sherman and his travelling companion, Gerald, were taken in by the Memphis animal shelter early in the summer. We were able to pull them from the shelter and get them into a foster home with our rescue. Sherman is currently being fostered in the south and would love to take the freedom ride north to Pennsylvania to meet more prospective families. Sherman is a bit laid back and is perfectly happy sitting in your lap, but he has to be invited on because he usually doesn't ask or demand the seat. Sherman is very friendly and is very playful. Sherman took quickly to learning the doggie door concept and we feel he would also be able to quickly navigate a more traditional house training technique. We would love for Sherman to have a home with a fenced in yard so he can play freely, however it is not a requirement. Sherman is up to date on his shots and neutered. Meet Gerald: Gerald is estimated to be about a 7 year old (as of August 2025) chihuahua / Jack Russel terrier mix that weighs around 16 pounds. Gerald and his travelling companion, Sherman, were taken in by the Memphis animal shelter early in the summer. We were able to pull them from the shelter and get them into a foster home with our rescue. Gerald is currently being fostered in the Lancaster, PA area and would love to meet his forever family. Gerald is a velcro dog that is very prompt about jumping in your lap and soaking up your affection. Gerald has a little bit of hair loss due to a previous flea allergy. With or without the fur, Gerald is a handsome guy. He is good with other dogs that are his size. He is still active, although not as playful as the younger pups. He would do best in a home without cats, as his prey drive kicks in when he sees the foster's cats. Gerald is house trained and crate trained, he evens sleeps through the night in his crate. We would love for Gerald to have a home with a fenced in yard so he can play freely, however it is not a requirement. Gerald is up to date on his shots and neutered. Story
Meet Daisy: Daisy is about a 3 year old (as of November 2025) chihuahua / shepherd mix (best guess?) that weighs 16 pounds. Daisy was taken in by Animal Control in Memphis this fall. Daisy was underweight and neglected and had to be fattened up before she could go through surgery to be spayed. Daisy is currently being fostered in the south and would love to take the freedom ride north to Pennsylvania to meet more prospective families. Daisy is a shy, laid back, wonderful dog. Daisy is a gentle and affectionate dog. Daisy was originally wary of people when we first pulled her from the shelter, but quickly became acclimated to having attention and is now a remarkably loving and gentle pet. Daisy doesn't bark and gets on well with other dogs in her foster home. Daisy would be great with kids of all sizes and will make a loving pet. Daisy is house trained to a doggie door and may need some patience while adjusting to a new method. Daisy is up to date on her shots and spayed.
