Story
We got sweet Moxie in late 2022 as a puppy from the SPCA. She is 4 years old. We are hoping her new home will have some new friends for her as well. We don’t have other dogs but she thrives with friends and does amazing at the pet sitters who has another dog. We are looking for a dog lover that will make her a full part of their lives. She has been such an amazing dog from the start. She is so sweet, loves to play and have her belly rubbed. She listens very well. She does love to play with toys and run outside. She’s great with other dogs and cats. She’s quite inside and rarely barks. She’s potty & create trained. We really feel we hit the doggy lottery and it’s bittersweet to need to rehome her. We want to ensure she is going to a tender dog loving family. She deserves the absolute best.

We’re looking for a loving new home for our sweet 8-year-old Chihuahua. She would make a wonderful companion for a single person or an adult couple who enjoys a calm, cuddly little sidekick. She’s pad-trained, low-energy, and happiest curled up beside someone who has time to relax with her. With both of us starting new jobs, we’re rarely home, and we’re also helping our son care for his young French bulldog, whose high energy is simply too much for her. We want to make sure she stays safe, comfortable, and gets the attention she deserves. She would do best in a quiet home with no other pets and no young children—somewhere she can be pampered, loved, and enjoy plenty of cozy spots to nap. Ernie is officially available for adoption! -10yo, long haired chihuahua & 13lbs -Neutered, vax’d, chipped & hw neg -Dog, cat and people friendly -Crate and potty trained -Tripod -Sweet, loving boy -Very low energy Ernie was found as a stray in Seagoville along with his brother Bert and brought to the shelter. Ernie was chipped, but owners hung up when the shelter contacted them. Unfortunately, we realized soon after picking them up that Bert was hospice and did not have very long. Ernie has adapted well since loosing Bert. Ernie would do well in a home with other dogs, but equally happy as an only dog. He would be great for a senior (the rescue has a senior program too)! He got a dental, benign masses removed and his leg amputated and has adjusted very well! Ernie is a true couch potato & loves sleeping and lounging the entire day!
