Meet Andy! Andy is a Chiweenie about 1½–2 years old and weighs 17 pounds. He came from a high-kill shelter along with his two friends, Addie and Allie, who are also searching for homes. The two girls must be adopted together, but Andy should do just fine on his own—though the girls do enjoy having him around. Andy is doing great in foster care. He goes into his kennel when asked and is eager to head outside in the mornings to take care of business. So far, he hasn’t had any accidents in the house, which is always a big win. He’s still a little shy from everything he’s been through, but that’s completely understandable and already improving. Andy gets along well with other dogs and enjoys running around and playing with them, even though he hasn’t discovered toys just yet. Andy is a sweet, gentle boy who just needs a little time, love, and stability to fully blossom. He’s going to make a wonderful companion for a lucky family. Adoption fee is $225. We rescued him! 😢 😎Conner is about 5 years old and weighs 12 lbs. 📣Conner is a super sweet, very friendly guy that is outgoing and spunky and has never meet a stranger! 💙 He gets along with other dogs. 🐾 🏡He is crate trained but he can be left out unattended. Meet Scooby and Dante! Scooby is the brown Chiweenie and Dante is the white poodle/ Chihuahua mix. Both boys are 5 1/2 years old. They have been together since they were puppies but sadly their owner had to surrender them due to personal reasons. We would love to find a family that will allow the 2 to stay together. They are both leash trained, potty trained and friendly. Their previous owners really cared for them and took them everywhere including the beach! They would love a home with toys, walks or a yard to play in and a family to love them. Both are neutered and microchipped. They are about due for their annual vaccines but we will cover that before they go to their forever home. They are still currently in South Texas but will be transported when an approved foster or adopter is available to take them. Note: We always respond first to inquiries that tell us something about your living situation (house, apartment, single, family, etc.) and why you want this dog. Be sure to include your phone number in your inquiry. We call inquiries that are a good fit for the dog.

Ernie is officially available for adoption! -10yo, long haired chihuahua & 13lbs -Neutered, vax’d, chipped & hw neg -Dog, cat and people friendly -Crate and potty trained -Tripod -Sweet, loving boy -Very low energy Ernie was found as a stray in Seagoville along with his brother Bert and brought to the shelter. Ernie was chipped, but owners hung up when the shelter contacted them. Unfortunately, we realized soon after picking them up that Bert was hospice and did not have very long. Ernie has adapted well since loosing Bert. Ernie would do well in a home with other dogs, but equally happy as an only dog. He would be great for a senior (the rescue has a senior program too)! He got a dental, benign masses removed and his leg amputated and has adjusted very well! Ernie is a true couch potato & loves sleeping and lounging the entire day!
