He is affectionate, loyal, and gentle, and enjoys both relaxing and short play sessions. I am looking for a patient and loving home that understands small dogs and can continue reinforcing positive feeding habits, as he shows a small amount of food aggression. With consistency and care, he will thrive best in a calm, structured environment where he is treated like family.

Thankfully the grass was low due to the time of year and someone spotted them. Their foster mom Sarah took her in along with 4 siblings. The plan was to split them up but they literally all 5 fit in a cat bed they were so small so they ended up fostering all 5 and they did an amazing job! Tiny weighed 3 lbs at her last vet visit on 2/24. She was approximately 10 weeks old. She looks to be a Chiweenie mix but one thing for sure she is 100% adorable! 🐶 Adopters must live in the DFW area 🐶 Adopters must have a fully fenced in yard (no apartment homes), 🐶 Current/ past pets must have/had a good vaccine record, spayed/neutered, and have/had proof of a consistent history of heartworm prevention. 🐶 homes require children at least 5 years of age If you would like to meet Tiny, the first step in the process is to complete an application. We got this dog as an ESA for our daughter who has anxiety/anxiety attacks. She has been a blessing. She is very sweet and playful. She is house trained, crate trained, potty trained. We have not gotten shots because we were unsure what she needed ( 16 year old daughter got from her friend who didn’t know either). She has not been fixed either. My daughter would love to find a temporary foster home for her for around 6 months, unsure how long at this time. My father in law is not allowed to have dogs at his house, and we’re moving in with him to save money temporarily. We just don’t know what to do.

Is someone missing me? I am an approx. 2 year old spayed female Chihuahua/Dachshund that weighs around 9lbs. I was found off Yvonne Drive in Rockwall on 3/29/26. I am currently on stray hold for 7 days while RAC staff attempts to locate my owners.  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm. For questions, please call 972-771-7750 ext. 2 or email info@RockwallAdoptions.com. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. Ernie is officially available for adoption! -10yo, long haired chihuahua & 13lbs -Neutered, vax’d, chipped & hw neg -Dog, cat and people friendly -Crate and potty trained -Tripod -Sweet, loving boy -Very low energy Ernie was found as a stray in Seagoville along with his brother Bert and brought to the shelter. Ernie was chipped, but owners hung up when the shelter contacted them. Unfortunately, we realized soon after picking them up that Bert was hospice and did not have very long. Ernie has adapted well since loosing Bert. Ernie would do well in a home with other dogs, but equally happy as an only dog. He would be great for a senior (the rescue has a senior program too)! He got a dental, benign masses removed and his leg amputated and has adjusted very well! Ernie is a true couch potato & loves sleeping and lounging the entire day!
