He does not really tug or pull, he takes his time and likes to sniff everything. He is a little bit aloof, he seemed very content to just enjoy sitting outside smelling the fresh air. He was very chill! He was fine when I first approached him from the side to pet, and he let me pet him for a bit. I started near his ear and worked down his back. He did not seem to enjoy pets as much as other dogs so I respected when he got up. But then toward the end of our time in the yard he did give me a warning snap, when I approached from the front to pet the side of his head by his ear, and I backed off completely. There was no growling or aggressive noises, he just clacked his jaws together to snap. He was fine walking back to his kennel, too. Per staff 6/7, Behavioral Eval: Kennel Presentation: Laying in the back side of his kennel when I approached. I called his name and he slowly got up then came to the front. Leash Skills: Slightly dodged the leash. Once leashed he came right out and walked on a loose leash. Sociability: He can be flinchy with movements. Go slow and use meatballs or pepperoni. I was able to gently pet his chest and down his side. Play: n/a Dog Interaction: Met zippy. Tolerant of her puppy energy. Return to Kennel: Went right back into the kennel and I removed leash with hand. Color Level: Exp Gold ACCT Philly is located at 111 West Hunting Park Ave in Philadelphia. Story
Meet Teddy Gram (ACCT-A-252365)! This handsome fellow is looking for a patient and understanding home where he can truly blossom. Teddy Gram is a bit of a "refined gentleman"—he can be shy and independent when meeting new people, but his sweet side is well worth the wait. On a leash, Teddy Gram is a dream. He walks nicely without pulling and is a polite companion for outdoor strolls. He also has a gentle touch when it comes to treats, taking them softly from your hand. While he may be aloof at first and value his personal space, he has shown moments of sweetness, even offering gentle licks once he feels a bit more comfortable. Because Teddy Gram is a sensitive soul who can become overwhelmed in new environments, he is looking for an adult-only home. He would thrive best with an adopter who has experience with independent or aloof breeds and understands how to give him the time and space he needs to adjust. If you are looking for a loyal, quiet companion to join your pack, Teddy Gram is waiting to meet you! ⭐Behavioral Notes⭐ 06/19/2026 Playgroup: Steerable 4 with water. Came in and sniffed around first. Mingled greeting other dogs loose body then went on his own around the yard. 06/09/2026 per staff: changing behavior meds to help reduce FAS 06/09/2026 per staff: yesterday i offered him some food from my hand and he took it gently, same from other people! Pet him on his back, unfazed and ignored me. Was heavy panting, eyes darting 06/08/2026 per staff: Went to see Teddy in his crate. He was lying down, tense. I opened the crate door and he backed up. I put the leash loop over his head, he ducked but it will went over. Took him outside. He did very well walking with another dog. They sniffed eachother and then ignored eachother (and me). Teddy walked nicely on the leash, not pulling. We stopped at the office and got another dog, and went into the large playyard together. Teddy sniffed the other dogs, and for about fifteen minutes or so they would go between sniffing eachother (Teddy would lick the other dog's face), and then wandering off their separate ways. Teddy walked by me and I pet him, he didn't react aside from continuing to walk. At one point one of the other dogs went up and put his head over Teddy's neck, Teddy just turned his head a tiny bit. The other dog growled, Teddy walked away and the other dog followed, posturing. I went up and heard the growl again and told him to knock it off, and stepped on his leash. Teddy trotted off. We put Teddy in an office and he ignored the staff member and then when they left he scratched at the door. We put him in an office with another dog, he walked around then went and started to try to get out of the baby gate. I put him back in his crate, he balked a bit at going in but did go in but turned around - I had squatted down to get the leash off him, and he gently put his paw on my knees and licked my face. However it was more of a stress behavior, he was still stress panting and trying to duck to go out past me. I shut the crate door and he start panting more and jumping up on the crate door. 06/08/2026 per staff: TTA: Whale eye, tense body, very jumpy and does not want to be handled. Rusty enjoys a slower pace of life. He loves to be rubbed and hang out on the couch. He does enjoy his walks. He gets along with other dogs as long as there is a proper introduction. He is a happy go lucky boy. He has hip issues so long walks aren't recommended. He does like walking leisurely around the yard. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. He can travel to anywhere in the US and Canada. ##1501779##

Story
TYRON is a 5 year old Chow Chow / German Shepherd who came to us when his owner’s living arrangements changed. He flunked the intake exam at several other shelters so here he is and we are still trying to figure him out. Tyron is a big boy! He doesn’t like a lot of physical touch but he LOVES his walks! Tyron will allow us to briefly brush his top line and pull out a few puffs but he is generally grumbly with handling and we fully sedated him at the vet for his spring shave. Tyron appears to want to play with other dogs and his previous owner took him to the dog park (which we don’t recommend but it does show that he may be fine living with another pup). Tyron needs an experienced dog savvy family who can work around his quirks to make him be all the dog he can be. We are looking for an adult-only home within reasonable driving distance so that we can facilitate several meet and greets and slowly integrate Tyron into your home. Tyron has been vaccinated, tested negative for heartworms and tick borne diseases, is microchipped and neutered. Please fill out an application at www.CompAnimals.org if you are interested in providing a home for Tyron. Adoption $200. March 7, 2026, 5:36 pm

🖤 THADDEUS NEEDS A HERO 🖤 Thaddeus has clearly been through some tough times. Found as a stray, he arrived underweight and carrying a few mats in his coat, but none of that has dimmed his bright spirit or loving heart. This handsome boy is everything you could want in a companion—sweet, affectionate, and eager to soak up every bit of attention he can get. Despite whatever hardships he’s faced, Thaddeus greets people with kindness and a hopeful smile, as if he’s still believing his best days are ahead of him. It’s easy to see that all he wants is a family to call his own. A warm bed, regular meals, gentle hands, and someone to love him forever. In return, he’ll offer loyalty, companionship, and a heart overflowing with gratitude. No dog should have to fend for themselves, especially one as loving as Thaddeus. He’s ready to leave his stray days behind and start the life he’s always deserved. ❤️ Please help Thaddeus find the happy ending he’s been waiting for. 🐾 Sweet • Affectionate • Gentle • Ready for a Fresh Start 🏡 A family is all Thaddeus needs to truly shine. Story
Meet Grace—affectionately known as Gracie. Gracie is a mostly independent girl who does take time to trust new people, but once you’re “in”, you’ll know it. She enjoys affection, but it is always on her terms, and she has just the right amount of spunky sass—earning her the nickname “huffy puffy” when she’s feeling extra expressive. She absolutely adores other dogs and thrives in their company. While she gets along well with all pups, she tends to form the closest bonds with females. A friendly, confident canine companion would be an ideal match to help her continue building trust and self-assurance. Naturally submissive, Gracie takes comfort in following a trusted lead—whether human or canine—and blossoms in environments that offer gentle structure and positive reinforcement. She LOVES to be outside and is happiest when she is able to be outside - enjoying a mix of sunbathing, running and playing. Gracie will likely always be a skeptical girl when it comes to trusting new people, so she’s looking for a lifestyle that is more laid back and won’t force her to be friends with every visitor that comes over. She warms up slowly and does best when given space, time, and a calm approach. Once she feels safe, she looks to her humans and furry friends for cues and guidance. Because she’s a follower by nature, she needs a patient, confident adopter who can provide consistent leadership in a soothing, structured environment. Gracie doesn’t enjoy being crated and would thrive in a home where someone is around most of the time. While she is crate trained and manages when necessary, she’s happiest when included in the rhythm of everyday life. She currently lives peacefully with two respectful teenagers who understand her, but would be best suited to a quieter household without small children, as too much commotion overwhelms her and causes her sassiness to shine.  Out and about, Gracie is a dream on leash—calm, curious, and non-reactive to people or other dogs. She has a mild interest in squirrels and bunnies, but her prey drive is low. Occassionally she will pull if she is really excited - part of her “im happy we’re doing this, let’s go”. But, she is also easy to redirect. She’d love a fenced yard where she can run and explore, but it’s not essential. Gracie’s true joys include car rides (especially when she can stand tall in the middle seat with the sunroof open), cozy blankets, soft squeaky toys, and, of course, a good chew toy. She’s a little nosy, too—always keeping an eye on the neighborhood like your own furry watch committee. Gracie is tolerant for baths, fine with being picked up, and easy to groom at home.  She has  not visited a professional groomer.  Gracie is house trained with a schedule she can anticipate  and knows her basic commands - sitting beautifully when asked. This special little girl has such a big heart underneath her spunky sass (which is sort of like her emotional suit of armor). Her progress so far has been remarkable, and in the right home—with time, patience, and loving guidance—she’s going to continue to truly shine. Her smile lights up a room, and she beams with pride when she’s happy.  Gracie is fostered in Reading (Berks County), Pennsylvania and able to head to her furever home. We prefer she be adopted into a home with another dog. Gracie is in our Meet Me Program: Dogs featured in our Meet Me Program are participating simply because their foster or a dedicated volunteer is willing and able to take part—this is not based on breed, personality, behavior, or how long a dog has been waiting for a home. Because Mostly Muttz Rescue does not have a physical shelter location, this program allows adopters to connect directly with the people who know each dog best. It’s a great opportunity to ask questions, learn more about daily life with the dog, and even schedule an individual meet & greet at an approved location—either before applying or while your application is pending. To get started, email meet_me@mostlymuttz.org with your contact information, and the dog’s foster or volunteer will be in touch. www.mostlymuttz.org https://facebook.com/mostlymuttz PA Kennel License: 10872 PO Box 406 Gilbertsville, PA 19525 #mostlymuttzrescue #adopt #adoptme #sassyspunky #somuchtolove #adoptable ##2225922##
