Story
Kristoff is being fostered in Ocala Fl. Kristoff's foster home would like you to know: That Kristoff is the embodiment of Happiness! This little man is filled with joy in everything he does. His tail waggle is ever present and he does a happy dance regularly. He truly is a joy and just wants to be where you are. Kristoff does shed. He has a shed similar to a husky or Shepard, where he has seasonal times where he blows his coat. Meet Kristoff (aka Kris, Little Man)! This precious pup is a chow mix, approximately 9 years old. But don’t let his age or blindness (he is blind due to cataracts) fool you, he is a spry, happy go lucky guy who can sure pour on the puppy dog eyes! When he wakes up he will do a happy dance to start the day (whether it is because he is so happy to greet his people or because it is time for breakfast is up for debate) and his joyfulness continues throughout the day (he is equally enthusiastic about bedtime!). Although his happiness abounds, he is mostly an easy going fellow and is content to enjoy the simple pleasures: his meals, leisurely strolls through the yard, chewing a bone, enjoying a cookie and most importantly, being near his people as much as possible. He is a low maintenance boy, doesn’t require a lot of walking and would thrive most in a laid back environment with someone patient, who doesn’t mind talking a lot (your voice will help guide him) and who can give him helpful hints to help him on his way (like “bump” warnings, etc). Kris can become a bit jumpy when scared or unsure, but trusting his people fixes that. The world can be a scary place when you can’t see, but most of the time he takes it in stride. He moves slowly to find his way and needs to build trust so he can feel safe. Luckily he is very smart and a fast learner (he learned how to find and use his foster’s doggy door within a day & lets himself in and out, and quickly learned “sit” and now enthusiastically sits on his own to wait for his meals). He doesn’t always love getting leashed, but he does follow along (happily, once he trusts the person on the other end) and he is definitely not a fan of car rides. Kris gets a little protective over food & treats and will give a warning grumble but he is otherwise ok with other dogs, he just isn’t too interested in them. Unsure about cats or kids. But we all have our things, right? This well behaved boy is content to sit in his room or crate, patiently waiting, and loves a routine that allows for lots of rests and doggy massages on request. The yard is his happy place. And above all else, this fellow is a pure joy to be around. If you have the time and patience to help this little man navigate the world, you will soon realize that you are very blessed to have this bundle of love by your side! BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.

Story
hi Regina, this stunning lady is a 7 year old Chow Chow. She was surrendered to us from a commercial breeder from Lancaster when she was no longer needed. She is 65 lbs. Consider the horrible shape Regina came to us, we are still a bit shocked how absolutely lovely and sweet she is. Through her emergency grooming and ever since, she has been the nicest, cuddliest little bear. She loves her volunteers and enjoys spending time with us. She will give us her paw and ask for more cuddles when we dare to stop. Someone will be so lucky to adopt her. She would need to meet any resident dogs. She will come spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and 4dx tested. She is also scheduled for a dental evaluation and will receive it as the vet deems necessary. If you are serious about adoption, please fill out an adoption application on our website www.phoenixanimalrescue.com Her adoption fee is $475. Consider the horrible shape Chloe came to us, we are still a bit shocked how absolutely lovely and sweet she is. Chloe allows us all handling and was a very good girl for her groom (sadly, she was severely matted down to the skin and needed to be fully shaved). She walks well on the leash and is an easy going, friendly lady. She cannot wait to join a chow loving family and start her next (and the best) chapter yet! She would need to meet any resident dogs. Story
Aaden is a beautiful, sensitive dog who thrives with calm, confident leadership and a consistent routine. He bonds deeply with his person; once you are one of his people, you'll have a loyal shadow, a cuddle buddy, and a dog who just wants to be near you always. Aaden is currently on Zoloft to help manage anxiety and is working on muzzle training and desensitization with a professional trainer. He is also crate-trained, housebroken, and knows several basic cues. Aaden has a bite history tied to anxiety, so he needs a home without children and ideally without other pets. He does currently live with a cat, and they tolerate each other, so this would be an option if necessary. He would also do best with someone experienced in reading dog body language and committed to giving him structure and time. In the right environment, Aaden is a joy, silly, loves soft beds, and gets bursts of playful energy. He would do well with a quiet lifestyle, regular walks, and a patient person.

Story
Shiloh's story began when he was dumped on a property alongside three other puppies down south. Two didn’t survive, but Shiloh and his sister Grace are both safe, with the promise of a bright future.  This gorgeous boy is shy and still learning to trust, so we are looking for an adopter with patience and understanding. He loves other dogs and would benefit from having another dog in his adoptive home. Shiloh is still nervous on leash but we have no doubt he can overcome this. He prefers to keep his crate clean, and is working on potty training. Shiloh is a generally quiet boy and does take treats nicely. Shiloh does prefer to eat alone, which helps him to eat without worry. Shiloh’s bio will be updated as he progresses with milestones in his journey. At this point, Shiloh needs the following type of adopter/furever home/environment: Adopter with patience and understanding Shiloh should have another dog in the home that will be a good example for him No Children Fenced in yard www.mostlymuttz.org #mostlymuttzrescue #learningtotrust #SeekingUnderstanding #adoptabledogs #illbeworthit #timeandpatience Mostly Muttz Rescue, PO Box 406, Gilbertsville, PA 19525PA Kennel License 10872 ##2278448##

Story
Meet Grace—affectionately known as Gracie. This beautiful, resilient girl has been adopted and returned twice, through no fault of her own. Despite these setbacks, Gracie continues to blossom into the loving, loyal companion she was always meant to be, thanks to the care and devotion of her foster family. Gracie is a charming mix of independence and tenderness. She enjoys affection, but always on her terms, and has just the right amount of spunky sass—earning her the nickname “huffy puffy” when she’s feeling extra expressive. She absolutely adores other dogs and thrives in their company. While she gets along well with all pups, she tends to form the closest bonds with females. A calm, confident canine companion would be ideal to help her continue building trust and self-assurance. Naturally submissive, Gracie takes comfort in following a trusted lead—whether human or canine—and blossoms in environments that offer gentle structure and positive reinforcement. Though affectionate, Gracie is still learning to fully trust people. She warms up slowly and does best when given space, time, and a calm approach. Once she feels safe, she looks to her humans and furry friends for cues and guidance. Because she’s a follower by nature, she needs a patient, confident adopter who can provide consistent leadership in a soothing, structured environment. Gracie doesn’t enjoy being crated and would thrive in a home where someone is around most of the time. While she is crate trained and manages when necessary, she’s happiest when included in the rhythm of everyday life. She currently lives peacefully with two respectful teenagers but would be best suited to a quieter household without small children, as too much commotion can overwhelm her. Out and about, Gracie is a dream on leash—calm, curious, and non-reactive to people or other dogs. She has a mild interest in squirrels and bunnies, but her prey drive is low. She’d love a fenced yard where she can run and explore, but it’s not essential. Gracie’s true joys include car rides (especially when she can stand tall in the middle seat with the sunroof open), cozy blankets, soft squeaky toys she can de-stuff, and, of course, a good chew toy. She’s a little nosy, too—always keeping an eye on the neighborhood like your own furry watch committee. Gracie is gentle and tolerant for baths, fine with being picked up, and easy to groom at home, though she hasn’t visited a professional groomer yet. This special little girl has a big heart and so much untapped potential. Her progress so far has been remarkable, and in the right home—with time, patience, and loving guidance—she’s going to truly shine. Her smile lights up a room, and she beams with pride every time she conquers something new. If you’re ready to share your life with a dog who will love you in her own quiet, loyal way, Gracie just might be the perfect match you’ve been waiting for. Gracie is fostered in Reading (Berks County), Pennsylvania and able to head to her furever home. Gracie is part of our Meet Me program which means you can talk to her foster before applying or becoming an approved adopter. You can even meet her in person before deciding whether or not you’d like to apply. Just send an email to meet_me@mostlymuttz.org with your contact information and her foster will be in touch!  www.mostlymuttz.org https://facebook.com/mostlymuttz PA Kennel License: 10872 PO Box 406 Gilbertsville, PA 19525 #mostlymuttzrescue #bigpersonality #chowchowlove #adoptabledogs #adoptme ##2225922##
