Story
This is beautiful Trinity! We estimate her age to be about 6 months old, and she is 34 lbs as of October 12th. We think she may be is a Chow / Lab mix (but we are just guessing!). We love her button ears and her smile. Frankly, we are surprised beyond belief that she isn’t adopted yet because she’s such a lovable and sweet puppy. Her sibling was adopted late last month and the new adopters can’t say enough good things about her! We also think she would be good with cats. If you are interested in Trinity, please complete an application from our site: https://www.miraclesforsatosrescue.org/adoption-foster-application Applications must be complete to be considered. Your application will not get lost! We are a small but efficient rescue and review each application that comes into our inbox in detail. ____________________________________________ PLEASE NOTE: This dog is currently in Puerto Rico. Once an adopter is fully approved, transport will be arranged to New York. In addition, if you are applying for this dog or any of our pups, you must be open to dog psychology/behavior (Cesar Millan) and fulfilling the needs of the dog. We strive for our dogs to be adopted into the right home. The best fit for the dog is our priority. We ask that you please make sure if interested in a puppy or high energy breed that you are ready for this time consuming/daily endeavor and have patience as this is a long term commitment (could be 15+ years). Please consider your future lifestyle after COVID. Please make sure you are ready to properly exercise and give a dog all it needs for fulfillment. Your ongoing time and day-to-day commitment is the most important thing in caring for a dog. In addition we cannot guarantee breed of any dog or expected adult size of a puppy. Thank you for understanding.

Story
Location: Korea Are you ready to welcome a character as unforgettable as Shrek into your home? Just like his namesake, our Shrek is a one-of-a-kind gem who's ready to bring joy, love, and a bit of whimsy to your life. Rescue Story: Shrek's journey from stray to beloved companion is nothing short of magical. Rescued near a new development area, Shrek faced the challenge of heartworm but has since overcome it with remarkable strength and resilience. Relationships: Shrek's heart is as big as his personality. While he's slightly guarded around other male dogs, he forms bonds quickly with his fellow furry friends. When it comes to cats, he's enthusiastic but manageable with a handler. With adults and children, Shrek is a charmer. He may be cautious at first, but a few walks or treats are all it takes for him to become your loyal sidekick. He's both playful and gentle, making him the perfect family companion. Personality: Shrek may seem cautious around newcomers, but underneath that exterior lies a heart of gold. He adores being petted and will happily curl up beside you, relishing the warmth of companionship. Grooming and Care: Shrek's ready for his spa day but hasn't yet experienced a bath. He welcomes brushing sessions, which is perfect for his moderate shedding. Energy and Adventure: Shrek's energy level is just right at 5-6. He's your ideal walking partner, thriving on daily strolls that let him explore the world around him. Likes and Dislikes: Shrek's likes are simple yet wonderful – eating and going for walks. He's not a fan of leash pulling and prefers to enjoy the journey at his own pace. Health and History: Shrek's been through a lot but has emerged stronger. He's neutered, heartworm treated, and currently in good health. He's even got a bit of a battle scar – a broken lower canine tooth that adds to his rugged charm. Behavior and Training: Shrek's a well-behaved gentleman, displaying his good manners during kennel training. While he's had some clashes with male dogs, he's a sweetheart around small dogs, females, and people. Living Situation: Shrek's currently in a foster center, but he's eagerly waiting to be the centerpiece of a loving home. Preferred Adoption Home: Shrek dreams of a kingdom where he can be your one and only furry companion. A home where he can embark on adventures – at least three walks a day – and bask in the love of his forever family. Shrek's story is one of redemption, strength, and the power of companionship. If you're ready to give this unique character the happily ever after he deserves, adopt Shrek and let the enchantment of friendship begin! ALL adoptions require a completed application and final contract. The application can be found at  WaldosRescue.org  and once you are approved to adopt you will be put in touch with the foster to see if it’s a good match. We are a RESCUE not a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We are unable to contact every applicant for every dog.  We will select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dogs needs. Waldos Rescue Pen is a 501c3 whose primary focus is rescuing dogs from the euthanasia list from high kill shelters throughout the United States. ##1791335##

Story
"No Dogs Left Behind operates boots on the ground in Asia, fighting on the front lines to rescue dogs from the illegal dog-meat trade. No Dogs Left Behind works hands-on with local activists through emergency response, pulling dogs directly from slaughterhouses, dog meat trucks, wet markets and traffickers. Our mission extends beyond borders worldwide, advocating for the creation and enforcement of animal welfare laws, and raising awareness for a cruelty-free, sustainable world in which no animal is violated, exploited, tortured or slaughtered for commercial goods or profit. PLEASE NOTE: All of our dogs ARE CURRENTLY LOCATED AT ONE OF OUR TWO SANTUARIES IN CHINA UNLESS OTHERWISE INDICATED ON THEIR PROFILE. If you are seeing this post, the dog you are interested in IS CURRENTLY AVAIALBLE FOR ADOPTION. Canadian Adoptions - For dogs going to Canada, we expect the wait for flights to be approximately 2 to 4 months AFTER the adoption is complete. PLEASE KNOW, however, that we can make no guarantee about flight dates because we are at the whim of the commercial airlines and airports. Available cargo space for animals on commercial airlines has been limited in recent months. United States Adoptions - In July of 2021, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) implemented a "temporary suspension on the importation of dogs from 113 countries, including China. Therefore, we are in the process of moving all our survivors from China to Canada to clear our two sanctuaries in East Asia which will give us the ability to save more dogs from slaughter. As per CDC regulations, dogs imported from China can enter the United States only AFTER staying in Canada for a period of 6 months. While we are accepting adoption applications from the United States, please be aware that there is a 6-month wait time. Should the CDC lift the import ban at any point prior to the 6-month period, we will advise you. Once you have adopted a survivor and a flight has been secured to Canada, we will arrange for your dog to stay in a loving foster home in the Toronto area that we have secured on your behalf or in our sanctuary located in Scarborough, Ontario. After the required 6-month stay in Canada, American adopters can arrange to pick up their survivors in Canada. IF YOU WANT TO ADOPT: The first step in our adoption process is to complete an application. EVERYONE MUST complete an application. You can complete an application on our website, https://nodogsleftbehind.com/adopt/ ADOPTION FEE: Current Adoption Fees: $2,290 USD for SMALL dogs under 50 pounds $2,990 USD for LARGE dogs over 50 pounds $1500 USD for SPONSORED dogs who have had a portion of their flight paid by a generous donor (noted with a white airplane symbol in their photo on our Foster or Adopt section of our website). Please NOTE, the adoption fee MAY change after adopting your survivor. If, at the time of transport, the transportation costs have increased, adopters will be required to pay the additional expenses. Due to COVID-19, regulations, airline availability, cost and logistics are ever-changing. The cost of adopting a survivor is constantly changing and therefore the adoption fees are subject to change. Adopters do not cover the costs of the dogs' medical care or the food and care they receive while they remain in our sanctuaries. The Pay-it-Forward Fee that is paid at the time of adoption covers the current cost of flying the dogs out of China. All our dogs are sterilized, microchipped, and have received all current vaccines as required to be imported as per airline and government regulations. CHILDREN, CATS AND OTHER PETS: Unfortunately, we have no way of knowing if any of our dogs are friendly with cats or young children. Although our dogs are friendly with most other dogs, we don't have the ability to test our dogs in our sanctuaries in China and cannot make any guarantees as to their temperament or compatibility with other animals, children, or cats. REQUESTS FOR HYPO-ALLERGENIC DOGS: We do not guarantee, agree, hint at, or suggest that any of our dogs are hypo allergenic. All our dogs are rescued from the dog meat trade in East Asia and therefore, we do not know their history or breed mixes. TEMPERAMENT: As our dogs are rescued from the dog trafficking trade in East Asia, we do not have history of their past. We cannot guarantee their temperament when they arrive in a home setting. HOUSE AND POTTY TRAINING: As we do not know the history of our rescued dogs, we should assume that they will need to be house trained. Some dogs may have been stolen pets and have previously been in a home environment in China while others may have been stray dogs or specifically bred for consumption. We advise every new adopter to treat these dogs as if they are puppies and be patient in regaining their trust with humans and providing basic training. We will also disclose any dog with more serious needs as our main goal is to get each dog the very best home for them. ADDITIONAL QUESTIONS: lindsay@nodogsleftbehind.com "

Story
Clifford. is located in TEXAS. There are not enough homes for all the unwanted dogs down there, so he is willing to relocate for a good, loving, forever home. Clifford was dumped on the side of a rural road with a litter of puppies. They were rescued by good Samaritans. Clifford is a super wonderful dog. He is very sweet and good-natured. He is a beta and almost all of the other dogs love him. Some of the little male dogs like to intimidate him but he simply tries to ignore them. He is very playful and loves playing with all of them. Clifford has shown an interest in chasing cats, so he may not be good with them. Clifford is mostly Chow. He weighs around 60 pounds and we estimate he may be around 2 years old. Clifford is crate-trained, knows how to sit, and walks well on a leash. He rides well in a vehicle but is a bit nervous about getting inside the vehicle. Clifford is fabulous with children. He is a bit shy with new people (especially men) and takes some time to trust. We are sure he was abused by whoever had him before. Clifford does need work with housetraining (sure he has never been in a house before) and could probably use other gentle obedience training. He gets scared when someone yells or talks in a mean voice. Clifford must be in the house as a loved member of the family. He needs to be walked on a leash and would like a securely fenced yard to run and play. Clifford is healthy. He is neutered, fully vaccinated (DAPPvL2, Bordatella, rabies), and microchipped. Clifford has been treated for heartworms and they are now dead. He is on monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Clifford's adoption fee includes the cost of ground transport to Hampton NJ, Parsippany NJ, or Nanuet NY. Clifford is being fostered in Texas and cannot be transported until after he is adopted. Please send an email to 2manydogstx@gmail.com if you are interested in adopting this wonderful boy.
