Where are all the Chow lovers? Oji is a diverted placement at NYACC... This means he has an appointment by his owner to be surrendered in February. Remember Me Rescue is  trying to help him so he doesn't end up in a cage at the Shelter or worse..This beautiful five year-old teddy bear is 52 pounds.and is good s strangers, kids ( saying 13 and up). He's a good boy. and  is quiet inside and playful when he is out and about. A big fluffy friendly teddy bear!  Oji will be neutered soon, so we are hoping this will help with his "iffy" reactio to other dogs.  Our Rescue has committed to getting him neutered if we are able to find a good home for him.   His Owner lives in a studio apartment and has started a new job which leaves Oji alone more, and less time for his owner to care for him.  Because of this, he has made the hard decision to find Oji a new home. We have committed to helping with this so please fill out our adoption application at the below link if you feel you are the right home for Oji, and would like to have Oji join your family. Story
Bolero was living living in a warm and loving home with cats and dog siblings. He began to feel great and developed a new found energy of joy. His mom had physical restrictions and Bolero was not the "chill" dog she adopted. Bolero experienced safety, trust, confidence, and joy. Bolero was originally from a local Animal Control and was found tied to their building with food and water. He's well mannered, soulful, friendly with all, and loves adventures!!!

SIMBA IS IN HIS FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN, AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO CT ONCE ADOPTED!    Simba is shy at first, but warms up.  That is classic chow chow behavior. His lovely reddish coat is more labrador like.  Known for their loyal nature, chows may not be the life of the party, but they love movie night with their family! He is friendly to other low key dogs. When he met a younger small dog, his body language relaxed completely and his tail went to wagging.   He is house trained, crate trained, walks well on lead, and loves a car ride. He is treat motivated and a quick learner. He is wary of strangers (to him) that approach the fenced yard, which is pretty standard for the chow breed. They are known to be protective of their family.  Simba's best home will have a secure fence and medium activity level, where he can take walks with his family or hang out on the couch. A previous history of excellent vet care for current or previous pets is required. We have not kid tested Simba, so we would not place in a home where there is a lot of activity without additional assessment.  If you love the chow breed without the chow fluff, Simba will be a great companion. He is fully vetted. Vetting includes spay/neuter, microchip, rabies and all puppy vaccinations. His adoption fee of $600 includes the transport to CT.
