Story
SIMBA IS IN HIS FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN, AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO PA ONCE ADOPTED!    Simba is shy at first, but warms up.  That is classic chow chow behavior. His lovely reddish coat is more labrador like.  Known for their loyal nature, chows may not be the life of the party, but they love movie night with their family! He is friendly to other low key dogs. When he met a younger small dog, his body language relaxed completely and his tail went to wagging.   He is house trained, crate trained, walks well on lead, and loves a car ride. He is treat motivated and a quick learner. He is wary of strangers (to him) that approach the fenced yard, which is pretty standard for the chow breed. They are known to be protective of their family.  Simba's best home will have a secure fence and medium activity level, where he can take walks with his family or hang out on the couch. A previous history of excellent vet care for current or previous pets is required. We have not kid tested Simba, so we would not place in a home where there is a lot of activity without additional assessment.  If you love the chow breed without the chow fluff, Simba will be a great companion. He is fully vetted. Vetting includes spay/neuter, microchip, rabies and all puppy vaccinations. His adoption fee of $600 includes the transport to PA. We use a licensed and registered USDA transport company that will bring Simba up north to his new family.   If you have any questions, please email us at: newbeginnings_animalrescue@yahoo.com   You can apply to adopt Simba here: www.newbeginningsanimalrescue.net   THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING ADOPTING A RESCUED PET! Rusty enjoys a slower pace of life. He loves to be rubbed and hang out on the couch. He does enjoy his walks. He gets along with other dogs as long as there is a proper introduction. He is a happy go lucky boy. He has hip issues so long walks aren't recommended. He does like walking leisurely around the yard. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. He can travel to anywhere in the US and Canada. ##1501779##

Story
Muffy came into my life after her previous owner passed, and she’s proven to be one of the sweetest, smartest dogs I’ve ever known. While she’s shy at first, this loyal girl becomes a total lovebug once she trusts you. She’s very well-behaved, masters tricks like “spin” and “high-five,” and adores daily walks or hikes. Muffy would thrive in calm, quiet home with 1-2 adults who understand her cautious nature. She’d do best in a home without cats or small children. She could enjoy a home with another friendly dog if it is the right fit (she can be particular about other dogs but there are some that she really loves). A securely fenced yard is a must, as she loves being outside. Muffy’s heart is full of love; she just needs the right person to give her time and space to share it. If you’re ready for a loyal companion who’ll repay your patience with endless devotion, Muffy is your girl.

Story
Meet Louie 💙 Louie is a stunning 3-year-old blue Chow Chow with a classic Chow personality and a heart that’s ready to heal. He’s incredibly handsome, calm by nature, and quietly confident — the kind of dog who brings a peaceful presence wherever he goes. Louie has a wonderful balance of energy and relaxation. He enjoys his walks and exploring the world, but he’s also content to lounge and take life at an easy pace. He’s not over-the-top or demanding — just a solid, loyal companion who wants to be near his people. Unfortunately, Louie didn’t have the best start in life. He experienced neglect and spent long periods confined to a crate. Because of this, he developed a fear of men, likely due to a negative experience with a male in his previous home. That said, with patience, consistency, and kindness, Louie can learn to trust men — and he is already making wonderful progress with his foster dad. Louie naturally prefers women and bonds with them quickly, forming deep and meaningful connections. He thrives in a calm, understanding home where his boundaries are respected and his trust is allowed to grow at his own pace. Louie requires a securely fenced yard (physical fencing only — no underground or invisible fences) so he can safely enjoy outdoor time and feel secure in his environment. Louie is a truly special dog who just needs the right person — someone who understands the Chow breed, values loyalty, and is willing to give him the love and security he’s always deserved. In return, you’ll gain a devoted companion who will quietly choose you every day. 💙 If you’re looking for a loyal, soulful Chow with so much love to give, Louie may be your perfect match.

Story
*hair blowing in the wind (even though she's indoors)* *unexplained sparkles in the air* *faint heavenly music* Yes, she is me. Chloe. Now that you are blinded by my beauty, let me explain why I am the absolute best girl on the inside too and so deserving of your (and everyone's) undivided adoration. I'm loyal, smart as a whip, and FUN, just to name a few. Unfortunately, I didn't come from the most glamorous beginnings. I was an outdoor doggy with not much interaction from birth and my family also left me behind when they moved. Thus, I wasn't really brought up interacting with you humans or being touched/handled. I've had my quirks while adjusting to being a family dog and will definitely need someone patient and understanding with me. (If you get too touchy right away, I don't like that and will try to protect myself.) However, if you are slow and gain my trust I will HANG on your every move. I have adjusted very quickly in the past with proper introductions to people. Even still, I would probably do best in a home without young children. I'm a lady after all and need time to sniff you out before you get grabby. I am an active girl and love to feel the wind in my hair outdoors too. I run with the speed of light and have a prey drive to sniff out bugs, lizards and more. I also love to play tug of war and fetch with my foster mommy inside. I bounce, bounce, bounce all the time! I am great on leash so walks and hikes would be great for me. Getting my energy out will help me focus on training too. I am very smart and learn quickly, but tend to lose interest if I'm still chock full of go, go, go!! With all of this perfection, all of your pet needs should be fulfilled, right? RIGHT? I hope so because I would do great as an only pet in the home. I have been able to co-exist with dogs at the rescue but I am a bit of a diva in my foster home. I have a domineering personality sometimes and will even mark like a male when I come across another dog's scent in my house. How dare they??? Existing? HERE? (She is otherwise house trained.) Considering that you and I know each other a little better now, you may pet me. Yes, I am very soft, I know. Please keep in mind that I am a Chow/shepherd mix and have hair that will require brushing, maybe even the occasional spa treatment, Swedish massage, 24k gold facials...yeahhhhhhhhhh.... Sorry! I forgot you were here. In all seriousness, once I trust you, I will allow you to brush me out without much fuss. It doesn't need to be daily but I am a rough and tumble kinda gal and can use help keeping my locks flowing and free. I also shed so if I seem to be losing my girlish figure, it's probably just extra hair that needs to be brushed off. I hope you have a strong vacuum. ;) I could go on for days about myself, but I'll stop here. Don't wanna overwhelm you. If you think you are up for the challenge of a total spitfire like me, please feel free to send in an application and foster mommy can tell you more about all of the grandeur that is...CHLOE.
