Story
SIMBA IS IN HIS FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN, AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO PA ONCE ADOPTED!    Simba is shy at first, but warms up.  That is classic chow chow behavior. His lovely reddish coat is more labrador like.  Known for their loyal nature, chows may not be the life of the party, but they love movie night with their family! He is friendly to other low key dogs. When he met a younger small dog, his body language relaxed completely and his tail went to wagging.   He is house trained, crate trained, walks well on lead, and loves a car ride. He is treat motivated and a quick learner. He is wary of strangers (to him) that approach the fenced yard, which is pretty standard for the chow breed. They are known to be protective of their family.  Simba's best home will have a secure fence and medium activity level, where he can take walks with his family or hang out on the couch. A previous history of excellent vet care for current or previous pets is required. We have not kid tested Simba, so we would not place in a home where there is a lot of activity without additional assessment.  If you love the chow breed without the chow fluff, Simba will be a great companion. He is fully vetted. Vetting includes spay/neuter, microchip, rabies and all puppy vaccinations. His adoption fee of $600 includes the transport to PA. We use a licensed and registered USDA transport company that will bring Simba up north to his new family.   If you have any questions, please email us at: newbeginnings_animalrescue@yahoo.com   You can apply to adopt Simba here: www.newbeginningsanimalrescue.net   THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING ADOPTING A RESCUED PET! Story
Meet Louie 💙 Louie is a stunning 3-year-old blue Chow Chow with a classic Chow personality and a heart that’s ready to heal. He’s incredibly handsome, calm by nature, and quietly confident — the kind of dog who brings a peaceful presence wherever he goes. Louie has a wonderful balance of energy and relaxation. He enjoys his walks and exploring the world, but he’s also content to lounge and take life at an easy pace. He’s not over-the-top or demanding — just a solid, loyal companion who wants to be near his people. Unfortunately, Louie didn’t have the best start in life. He experienced neglect and spent long periods confined to a crate. Because of this, he developed a fear of men, likely due to a negative experience with a male in his previous home. That said, with patience, consistency, and kindness, Louie can learn to trust men — and he is already making wonderful progress with his foster dad. Louie naturally prefers women and bonds with them quickly, forming deep and meaningful connections. He thrives in a calm, understanding home where his boundaries are respected and his trust is allowed to grow at his own pace. Louie requires a securely fenced yard (physical fencing only — no underground or invisible fences) so he can safely enjoy outdoor time and feel secure in his environment. Louie is a truly special dog who just needs the right person — someone who understands the Chow breed, values loyalty, and is willing to give him the love and security he’s always deserved. In return, you’ll gain a devoted companion who will quietly choose you every day. 💙 If you’re looking for a loyal, soulful Chow with so much love to give, Louie may be your perfect match.

🚨ADOPT IZZY🚨 10/10 good girl. Izzy is a sweet, quirky 2 year old girl that has all the love to give. She is OBSESSED with toys and is guaranteed to always have one closeby ready to play! She’s great with other dogs, super affectionate, and just wants to be near her people. I truly think she’d be amazing with kids and in a home that wants a playful, loving companion. Izzy likes walks and is pretty good on a leash but she’d do fine in a fenced yard as well. She’s potty trained, up to date on shots, spayed and even knows a few tricks! Apply if you think you might be Izzy’s forever home 🐾💕www.hindeanimalrescueteam.org kl 18435 (Foster through Hinde S Animal Rescue Team Inc - HART)

Story
Meet Grace—affectionately known as Gracie. Gracie is a mostly independent girl who does take time to trust new people, but once you’re “in”, you’ll know it. She enjoys affection, but it is always on her terms, and she has just the right amount of spunky sass—earning her the nickname “huffy puffy” when she’s feeling extra expressive. She absolutely adores other dogs and thrives in their company. While she gets along well with all pups, she tends to form the closest bonds with females. A friendly, confident canine companion would be an ideal match to help her continue building trust and self-assurance. Naturally submissive, Gracie takes comfort in following a trusted lead—whether human or canine—and blossoms in environments that offer gentle structure and positive reinforcement. She LOVES to be outside and is happiest when she is able to be outside - enjoying a mix of sunbathing, running and playing. Gracie will likely always be a skeptical girl when it comes to trusting new people, so she’s looking for a lifestyle that is more laid back and won’t force her to be friends with every visitor that comes over. She warms up slowly and does best when given space, time, and a calm approach. Once she feels safe, she looks to her humans and furry friends for cues and guidance. Because she’s a follower by nature, she needs a patient, confident adopter who can provide consistent leadership in a soothing, structured environment. Gracie doesn’t enjoy being crated and would thrive in a home where someone is around most of the time. While she is crate trained and manages when necessary, she’s happiest when included in the rhythm of everyday life. She currently lives peacefully with two respectful teenagers who understand her, but would be best suited to a quieter household without small children, as too much commotion overwhelms her and causes her sassiness to shine.  Out and about, Gracie is a dream on leash—calm, curious, and non-reactive to people or other dogs. She has a mild interest in squirrels and bunnies, but her prey drive is low. Occassionally she will pull if she is really excited - part of her “im happy we’re doing this, let’s go”. But, she is also easy to redirect. She’d love a fenced yard where she can run and explore, but it’s not essential. Gracie’s true joys include car rides (especially when she can stand tall in the middle seat with the sunroof open), cozy blankets, soft squeaky toys, and, of course, a good chew toy. She’s a little nosy, too—always keeping an eye on the neighborhood like your own furry watch committee. Gracie is tolerant for baths, fine with being picked up, and easy to groom at home.  She has  not visited a professional groomer.  Gracie is house trained with a schedule she can anticipate  and knows her basic commands - sitting beautifully when asked. This special little girl has such a big heart underneath her spunky sass (which is sort of like her emotional suit of armor). Her progress so far has been remarkable, and in the right home—with time, patience, and loving guidance—she’s going to continue to truly shine. Her smile lights up a room, and she beams with pride when she’s happy.  Gracie is fostered in Reading (Berks County), Pennsylvania and able to head to her furever home. We prefer she be adopted into a home with another dog. Gracie is in our Meet Me Program: Dogs featured in our Meet Me Program are participating simply because their foster or a dedicated volunteer is willing and able to take part—this is not based on breed, personality, behavior, or how long a dog has been waiting for a home. Because Mostly Muttz Rescue does not have a physical shelter location, this program allows adopters to connect directly with the people who know each dog best. It’s a great opportunity to ask questions, learn more about daily life with the dog, and even schedule an individual meet & greet at an approved location—either before applying or while your application is pending. To get started, email meet_me@mostlymuttz.org with your contact information, and the dog’s foster or volunteer will be in touch. www.mostlymuttz.org https://facebook.com/mostlymuttz PA Kennel License: 10872 PO Box 406 Gilbertsville, PA 19525 #mostlymuttzrescue #adopt #adoptme #sassyspunky #somuchtolove #adoptable ##2225922##

Story
*hair blowing in the wind (even though she's indoors)* *unexplained sparkles in the air* *faint heavenly music* Yes, she is me. Chloe. Now that you are blinded by my beauty, let me explain why I am the absolute best girl on the inside too and so deserving of your (and everyone's) undivided adoration. I'm loyal, smart as a whip, and FUN, just to name a few. Unfortunately, I didn't come from the most glamorous beginnings. I was an outdoor doggy with not much interaction from birth and my family also left me behind when they moved. Thus, I wasn't really brought up interacting with you humans or being touched/handled. I've had my quirks while adjusting to being a family dog and will definitely need someone patient and understanding with me. (If you get too touchy right away, I don't like that and will try to protect myself.) However, if you are slow and gain my trust I will HANG on your every move. I have adjusted very quickly in the past with proper introductions to people. Even still, I would probably do best in a home without young children. I'm a lady after all and need time to sniff you out before you get grabby. I am an active girl and love to feel the wind in my hair outdoors too. I run with the speed of light and have a prey drive to sniff out bugs, lizards and more. I also love to play tug of war and fetch with my foster mommy inside. I bounce, bounce, bounce all the time! I am great on leash so walks and hikes would be great for me. Getting my energy out will help me focus on training too. I am very smart and learn quickly, but tend to lose interest if I'm still chock full of go, go, go!! With all of this perfection, all of your pet needs should be fulfilled, right? RIGHT? I hope so because I would do great as an only pet in the home. I have been able to co-exist with dogs at the rescue but I am a bit of a diva in my foster home. I have a domineering personality sometimes and will even mark like a male when I come across another dog's scent in my house. How dare they??? Existing? HERE? (She is otherwise house trained.) Considering that you and I know each other a little better now, you may pet me. Yes, I am very soft, I know. Please keep in mind that I am a Chow/shepherd mix and have hair that will require brushing, maybe even the occasional spa treatment, Swedish massage, 24k gold facials...yeahhhhhhhhhh.... Sorry! I forgot you were here. In all seriousness, once I trust you, I will allow you to brush me out without much fuss. It doesn't need to be daily but I am a rough and tumble kinda gal and can use help keeping my locks flowing and free. I also shed so if I seem to be losing my girlish figure, it's probably just extra hair that needs to be brushed off. I hope you have a strong vacuum. ;) I could go on for days about myself, but I'll stop here. Don't wanna overwhelm you. If you think you are up for the challenge of a total spitfire like me, please feel free to send in an application and foster mommy can tell you more about all of the grandeur that is...CHLOE. Story
Kristoff is being fostered in Ocala FL. Kristoff is a very unique dog and such a juxtaposition! He hates car rides, but loves walks. He is the happiest, sweetest, tail-wagging floof, but is a tough as nails street dog at his core. He is a happy go lucky, friendly guy on one hand, but if he gets contained, he is absolutely frantic to break free. He loves to be with the other dogs, but will be reactive and quickly defensive if startled. His face is greying, but his energy and enthusiasm are still puppy-like with no signs of slowing down (except for some occasional signs of doggy dementia.) He does not tolerate his front paws being touched, but does allow the vet tech to trim his nails, though reluctantly. Surprisingly, he really enjoys being brushed, but no noisy trimmers which makes grooming tricky. Kris’s health is good and he is doing well on that front. He has lost a significant amount of weight and leveled off now, so he is much healthier. He thrives on routine and verbal cues, which he learns easily with repetition. Kristoff is full of contradictions and challenges which will require a special experienced adopter, a lot of patience, work and communication. Although he loves to be with a pack, it is probably easier to acclimate him in a home without any other pets, but older children are ok. Kris would prefer a home with his human home much of the time. BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.
