Story
Smoke is a lovely, medium-sized girl with a beautiful, fluffy black coat and warm, expressive brown eyes that look at you with quiet curiosity. His most endearing feature is a charming, one-sided underbite that peeks out when she smiles, giving her face a genuinely unique and whimsical expression. While he can be a bit timid and shy when first introduced to new situations or faces, his gentle nature shines through almost immediately. If you go slowly and give him a moment to adjust, his initial nerves dissolve into a loose, wiggly greeting that shows just how friendly and sweet he truly is. Once he feels safe, Smoke is a wonderful companion who thoroughly enjoys receiving gentle pets and staying close to his human friends. He is a mature, fully grown adult who already knows how to navigate the world politely, showing good manners and walking well on a leash. If you are looking to fast-track your bond with him, a little bit of cheese goes a long way, as it happens to be his absolute favorite treat. Smoke offers a blend of a calm, grounded demeanor and a deeply affectionate heart just waiting for the right person to trust. If you have a quiet spot in your heart for a gentle soul who appreciates the softer side of life, Smoke would love to meet you. Come spend a little time with him and watch her blossom into your new best friend.

Story
Frida is a loyal, intelligent, affectionate Chow Chow–Great Pyrenees mix who is happiest with people she knows and trusts. She is house-trained, crate-trained, and enjoys relaxing at home, spending time with her people, and keeping watch over her surroundings. Frida can be cautious with new people at first and does best with calm introductions, predictable routines, and consistent boundaries. She has strong guardian instincts and may bark at unfamiliar people, animals, or activity outside. We are looking for a calm, stable home, ideally with someone who has experience with Chows, Great Pyrenees, or similar guardian breeds. Because our household now includes very young children, we believe Frida would be a better fit in a home without toddlers or babies. Frida is a wonderful dog who deserves a home that matches her personality and needs. We are committed to finding her a safe, permanent placement rather than rushing the process.

Story
Affectionately called "Dorito Ears," Trap is very smart and knows the common commands. He would also want to let you know that he would love to learn more from you! His favorite things in the world are discovering balls in the yard and his friends. This cuddle bug would like an medium/active energy owner. By this we mean, you either love walks or would fit him into your gardening time in the yard. He would know how to self entertain with balls/toys as you garden, but sometimes would come in check with you to make sure you know he's still your garden pal. Treat motivated and Dog selective, Trap can be friends with his peers with proper introductions. He trusts the humans he knows and will slowly warm up to strangers. Once he gets some of his energy out, Trap is very content just relaxing, check in for some pets, napping, and playing with his toys. He also loves to snuggle. Trap is very house trained and rides well in the car. He is a very smart cookie and loves puzzle games too! He will thrive with an active person who will engage his body and his brain. If you've read this far, here are some unique quirks Trap has. He is afraid of sizzling noise of kitchen cooking, curious about dish washer, and is not a fan of the vacuum sounds. Will gather most of his toys into a place he's identified as his safe space / nap spot / or eating place. Knows the words home, find it, and inside + up/down. Understands Let's go/ walkie. Has a strong sit and lay down command is still being worked on.

Story
Catero is the kind of dog who makes every day a little brighter. One look in his direction and his tail starts wagging - he's just that happy to be around his people. With his big smile, floppy ears, and goofy personality, it's impossible not to fall for this charming senior. At home, Catero is an expert lounger. You'll often find him stretched out on the couch, snoozing in bed, sunbathing in a warm patch of sunlight, or keeping you company while you watch TV. He's wonderfully relaxed when left alone and will happily nap the day away, though he'll always be ready to greet you at the door when you return. While Catero loves his downtime, he's also enthusiastic about getting outside. Walks are one of his favorite activities, especially because they give him the chance to sniff absolutely everything. Don't expect to be in a hurry - Catero believes every scent deserves a thorough investigation. He also has a playful side and enjoys gentle games with his people, often turning your arm into his favorite "toy" with soft, silly play. Catero is looking for a home where he can enjoy life's simple pleasures: good food, sunny spots to nap, leisurely walks, and plenty of companionship. If you're searching for a loyal, easygoing best friend with a heart of gold and a smile that never quits, Catero may be your perfect match.

This low-maintenance girl is known for her sweet smile and adorable teeth, bringing a serene, comforting presence to anyone lucky enough to sit with her. When spending time outdoors, she is easy to guide on a leash and thoroughly enjoys taking her time to sniff and explore, treating every path like a fascinating story waiting to be read. Post surgery, she will need a comfy bed to sleep away from other pets and play time rituals until she heals. Nurturing a patient, gentle dog through her recovery is a deeply moving experience that creates an unbreakable bond. Open your home to Scholastic Queen today and provide the safe harbor she needs to heal, grow strong, and thrive.
