Story
Hello there everyone, my name is Clint! I am a 5 year old, tan, neutered male chihuahua who weighs about 12lbs. I am a confident, social gentlemen who loves hanging out with my favorite humans. I am a fan of the sniffari and love going on nice leisurely walks where I can sniff around and get to know what's going on in the neighborhood. While I get along great with my bipedal friends, I am still working on my dog skills, and would prefer to be the only dog in the household. If you are looking for a sweet lad who is on the small side them come down and meet me! Clint ID#A0992970 I recently went to San Carlos Art & Wine! Here's how I did: Brought Clint to San Carlos Art & Wine Faire. He did great on the car ride to and from the event. He likes to look out the windows. At the event he barked at some dogs, but not all, in a 'hey! I see you!' kind of way. He mostly wanted to be on people's laps the whole time. He was very inrigued by the kittens that came along and didn't know how to process what a cat is. He may need more training with cats. Overall, he was a very good boy and was happy to be loved on by visitors. Unless otherwise indicated, adoptable animals are located at our Lantos Center for Compassion at 1450 Rollins Road, Burlingame, CA 94010.  You may call us at 650-340-7022 to schedule an appointment, or just drop by. Story
Hey everyone! My name is Abigail, nice to meet you. I'm a 1 year old, spayed female, terrier mix that weighs 23 lbs. I’m a professional heart-melter who navigates the world with a wagging tail and a soul full of sweetness. While I might start out a little shy—taking a quiet moment to size things up—it doesn’t take long for my gentle and friendly nature to shine through. Once I feel safe, my curious nose takes over, leading me on grand adventures to investigate every cranny, leaf, and passing beetle. Just when you think I’m just a quiet observer, my playful side bursts to life! I love a good game of chases or a silly toy toss. I’m just a happy pup at heart. I’m the perfect mix of a polite wallflower and an eager adventurer, ready to blossom into your absolute best friend. If you have been looking for the quintessential medium dog, please come and meet with me today! Abigail ID#A0989083 I went on an office visit! Here's how it went  Abigail went on an adventure today; she visited a staff member’s office and did great! As she was headed out and about, she met up with a few staff members who she didn’t know and went right up to say hi! She was super interested in exploring once inside the office, checking all the nooks and crannies for treats. Once she had done her perimeter sweep, she was happy to settle on her bed to play with a few toys or take a nap throughout the afternoon. She was always eager to greet and say hi to anyone who happened to stop by.  She was a super star.Unless otherwise indicated, adoptable animals are located at our Lantos Center for Compassion at 1450 Rollins Road, Burlingame, CA 94010.  You may call us at 650-340-7022 to schedule an appointment, or just drop by. Story
CallingBuddy is a little dog with a gentle heart, looking for a patient adopter to help him keep building confidence. After a difficult start in life, he's learning that people can be safe and kind, and he grows braver every day.Buddy is quiet, sweet, non-aggressive, and happiest in a calm environment with a predictable routine. He loves cozy beds, sunny spots, and having a safe place to relax. He's not comfortable being handled or pet, but wants to be close and connect. He's shy but curious. Very treat-motivated and has begun approaching trusted people on his own terms. His ideal home is with someone who understands that trust is earned, not rushed. Buddy doesn't need adventures or constant attention. He simply needs patience, consistency, and the freedom to move at his own pace. He has so much potential! Buddy would thrive in a quiet home with indoor/outdoor access to a secure, enclosed balcony or yard (he doesn't go on walks), and a kind person who finds joy in earning a dog's trust.
