**Meet RUSTY on Saturday, June 27th from 10 am to 1 pm at Dublin Petsmart west, 6960 Amador Plaza Rd.** Little Rusty is a compact-size cutie who lives in a foster home with Tri Valley Animal Rescue volunteers. He's enjoying all the comforts and making himself right at home. Rusty is a 1 1/2-year-old, male Chihuahua mix. He weighs 13 pounds and is a very happy, affectionate dog. He will lick your face, loves to sit on your lap to be petted, and absolutely LOVES to play fetch with his chew toys. He is an excellent eater, he is housebroken, sleeps quietly through the night in his doggie pen, and enjoys walks. Rusty follows commands of "Stay," "Quiet," and "Ni Ni" (it's time to go to sleep). Rusty adapts to routines well and will bring much joy to your household. He is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and ready for his new, loving family. **Meet Toby on Saturday, June 20th from 10 am to 1 pm at Dublin Petsmart west, 6960 Amador Plaza Rd.** Toby is a little cutie who lives in a foster home with Tri Valley Animal Rescue volunteers. He likes to snuggle on the couch, and he's enjoying the yard and making friends with the resident dogs and cats. He likes going for walks, and does well when training with treats. He is approximately 3 years old and he weighs 14 pounds. He's a nice sturdy, compact size. He's neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Toby is a confident, strong boy with a big heart and the classic terrier spirit. He is intelligent, alert, and full of personality. While he can be affectionate, and playful, Toby also has firm boundaries and a strong demand for respect of his personal space and comfort. Toby needs an experienced adult-only home that is fully prepared to meet him where he is. Two types of homes would be a strong match: 1. Management-Focused Home Owners who excel at reading canine body language, respect his warning signs, and proactively manage and avoid his triggers. 2. Dedicated Training Home A handler or family with a strong work ethic who is willing to invest consistent, balanced training to help Toby learn new, more appropriate responses. This home must be realistic: while Toby has excellent potential for significant improvement in his “anger management”, his responses may never be 100% reliable. Progress depends heavily on the right dog-and-handler team.
