Story
Ellington came to us as part of a hoarding case, but you'd never know it from his heart. Despite everything this sweet boy has been through, he is completely loving and has one very clear mission in life: getting belly rubs. Ellington gets along great with other dogs and loves having canine company. He's a little unsure of new people at first, but give him a few minutes to warm up, and that shy pup turns into a dog who just wants to lean on you and soak up some love. He's never walked on a leash before, but he's a smart cookie and picks things up quickly with a little patience. Because leash training is new to him, we're looking for a home with a secure, fenced yard where he can safely explore and learn the ropes. Since he takes a little time to warm up to new faces, we're not yet sure how he'd do with young children, so we're prioritizing homes without small kids for now. Ellington is ready to leave his past behind and start his happily ever after - could that be with you? Ellington's estimated birthdate is July 2019 and he weighs about 20lbs. To schedule a time to meet with this dapper gentleman, please apply at furkids.org and our adoption team will get back in touch with you soon. You must be 21+ to adopt. The adoption fee is $175.

Story
Meet Elliott Sweet Elliott is a 10-year-old little guy who is ready to discover what it truly means to be a beloved family dog. Elliott may be a Cocker Spaniel or Shih Tzu mix… regardless he’s adorable. He came to Furkids after arriving into animal control from a hoarding situation. Because of his past, he’s missed out on some of the everyday experiences that most dogs take for granted — and now he’s ready for someone special to show him the world. Elliott is incredibly sweet and has so much love to give. He’s good with other dogs and would love a home where he can continue to gain confidence at his own pace. Right now, he doesn’t know how to walk on a leash and will need a patient family willing to help him learn how to be a “normal” dog. A securely fenced yard is a must so he can safely enjoy the outdoors while he works on building those skills. Most importantly, Elliott needs someone who understands that trust takes time. He may be unsure of humans at first, but with love, patience, consistency, and a little understanding, this amazing boy can learn that people can be kind and that he is finally safe. Elliott has spent enough of his life simply getting by. Now he deserves a quiet, loving home where he can relax, learn, and experience all the wonderful things he’s been missing. If you have the patience and heart to help Elliott become the confident companion he was always meant to be, he could be your perfect match. Adoption Fee: $175 Adopters must be 21 or older Apply to adopt: furkids.org Elliott is waiting for someone to show him just how wonderful life can be. Could you be his person?

Story
Meet Ella... a precious girl who deserves a fresh start. Ella came to Furkids after being rescued from animal control as part of a large hoarding case, where she spent far more time with other dogs than with people. As a result, she can be scared and skittish around humans and still has a lot to learn about trusting us. Ella gets along wonderfully with other dogs and would thrive in a home with a confident canine companion to help show her the ropes. Since she's never been on a leash and is currently a flight risk, we're requiring a home with a secure, small-breed-proof fenced yard. Ella may try to dart away at first, but once she's safely in your arms, she melts into the attention and affection. This sweet girl just needs someone willing to give her the chance at a normal, loving life she's never had. Ella's estimated birthdate is May 2019 and she weighs about 17 pounds. Her adoption fee is $315 and she has been spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Wanna learn more about Ella or set up a meet & greet? Fill out an adoption survey at furkids.org/adopt and a team member will reach out to you soon. You must be 21+ to adopt!
