Story
Hi Im Rafael. My mom Candy and I came from a hoarding and breeding situation where we didnt get to experience much of the world. When Desert Paws Sanctuary rescued us while helping the elderly woman we lived with, I was so scared. I didnt know how to walk on a leash, and even being outside felt unfamiliar to me. Everything was new. But thanks to my amazing fosters, Im starting to understand what it feels like to be safe. Every day I come out of my shell a little more. Ive learned that I love being around people, laying next to them, and soaking up all the affection I can get. Im a good boy with a gentle heart. I was just never shown love before. Now all I want is a family to call my own. Please visit our website desertpawssanctuary.org to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs and cats.

Story
Hi Im Candy. For a long time, my world was very small. I came from a hoarding and breeding situation alongside my son, Rafael. When Desert Paws Sanctuary stepped in to help the elderly woman caring for us, they quickly realized we had never really experienced life outside of that environment. I was terrified. I didnt know how to walk on a leash. I didnt understand the outside world. Everything felt scary and unfamiliar. But then I went to my foster home, and slowly things started to change. My fosters have shown me patience, kindness, and love. Now Im learning that people can be safe. I love being close to my humans, following them around, and just sitting next to them quietly. After everything Ive been through, all I really want is love and comfort. And for the first time in my life I finally have hope that Ill have that forever. Story
Teddy is a 6-year-old male Cockapoo. My brother got him when he was a puppy. Unfortunately, my brother passed away, and since then our family has been working a lot and hasn’t been able to give him the time and attention he deserves. Teddy has a best friend named Cali, a 9-year-old female Maltipoo, and they’ve been together for years. Because they’re very bonded, we would really prefer that they go to a new home together. Both dogs were originally acquired as puppies and have grown up in a home environment. We’re looking for a loving, stable home where they will receive plenty of attention, care, and companionship. Ideally, the new owner would have the time to keep them active, give them affection, and allow them to stay together as they are very attached to each other. They are sweet, friendly, loyal, and affectionate dogs. Our main goal is to find a caring family or individual who can give them the time, love, and stability they deserve.

Story
Little Maisie is such a sweetheart, but it does take time for her to warm up to new people. She had a rough start with the wrong human and carries some trauma from her previous experience. She is doing well now at her foster home but a new home will have to provide some adjustment, patience and structure. She loves people but would not be suitable for a home with children or seniors; she's okay with other dogs. She loves to go on walks and snuggle beside you once you earn her trust. The ideal home would be an adult-only home.. If you would like to meet Maisie, please complete the adoption application on our website. www.muttlycrew.org
