Teddy is a 6-year-old male Cockapoo. My brother got him when he was a puppy. Unfortunately, my brother passed away, and since then our family has been working a lot and hasn’t been able to give him the time and attention he deserves. Teddy has a best friend named Cali, a 9-year-old female Maltipoo, and they’ve been together for years. Because they’re very bonded, we would really prefer that they go to a new home together.Both dogs were originally acquired as puppies and have grown up in a home environment. We’re looking for a loving, stable home where they will receive plenty of attention, care, and companionship. Ideally, the new owner would have the time to keep them active, give them affection, and allow them to stay together as they are very attached to each other. Just to be transparent, the only reason we’re asking for an adoption fee is because we’ve had so many people inquire who aren’t actually serious about adopting.Thank you for understanding.

Small white and black dog, we bought him about 14 years ago at the Tyler mall as a puppy. He’s lovable and was the greatest companion we cherished him in our youth, but as moms now, I feel that we’re not giving him enough attention; he seems depressed. I want him to make someone else happy, and they can make him happy. He’s a great lap dog, very submissive, gets along with cats great, and he’s not a fighter. His birthday is November 14, 2012. Definitely an inside dog; he will cry if left out more than 10 mins. He is potty trained and will not pee or poop inside the house unless you don’t take him out. He scratches the patio door to be let out. He sleeps at the foot of the bed and definitely needs help to get on the bed; he’s a senior dog. Who ever adopts him please just take care of him he deserves love at the end of his life ❤️ He has a cataract in his right eye and has a fatty tumor on chest but it is not cancerous benign.

Norma arrived at Downey Shelter as a stray and, sadly, was never reclaimed. While waiting for her second chance, she developed an upper respiratory infection and became at risk for euthanasia. Fortunately, shelter staff reached out for help, and we welcomed this sweet girl as a Frosted Face on July 23rd. Estimated to be 10 years old and weighing just 11 pounds, Norma has proven to be very resilient. Thanks to a revised treatment plan from the FFF Vet Staff, time to relax and recover in a loving foster home, and Norma’s fighting spirit, she is now symptom-free. And ready to meet her forever family! Norma is a quiet, gentle soul who asks for very little. She has very limited vision, so she’ll need some gentle guidance as she learns her way around new spaces. Norma is currently on a two-week Frosted Fling, and her foster mom shares: "Norma is so sweet! Not a malicious bone in her body. She is a happy little girl that just tottles around the house and then lays down and sleeps where she decides to stop. Norma is definitely a foodie! She loooves food and gobbles up every last drop! Norma is completely house-trained and hasn't had one accident in the house. Despite being blind, Norma gets around with ease. She has pretty much mapped out the house already. Knows where the water bowls are and all the dog beds. It's pretty amazing really! I bought a large playpen that I put Norma in at night to sleep, and when it's time for bed, she curls up, goes to sleep, and doesn't make a peep all night. Norma is such an easy girl. She just wants to feel safe and be loved. Sweet little Norma would make a great addition to almost any family. She doesn't ask for much and in return she will show her love for you and give you sweet little kisses." Rune is a 3-year-old, 15 lb Poodle mix with soft curls and an endearing, sensitive personality. He’s currently sporting a short summer cut, but his beautiful curly coat will grow back in and will require regular grooming to keep him looking his best. We’ve been getting to know Rune, and this sweet boy has already shown us what a loving little companion he is. He loves head scratches and belly rubs and has the cutest habit of popping up onto his hind legs when he’s hoping for some extra attention! Rune absolutely lights up around his foster family’s daughter. From their very first introduction, he was excited to see her, and now his whole demeanor changes when she walks into the room. Kids are definitely a yes for Rune! He is more cautious around men and can be hesitant about coming inside the house, so his foster family has been working with him using patience and positive reinforcement. He’ll do best with a family willing to give him a little time and encouragement as he continues building his confidence. Even while he’s still getting to know you, Rune wants to be your little shadow. He’ll happily follow you from room to room and prefers being close to his people rather than left on his own. Rune is a tender-hearted, affectionate little guy who is looking for a family that will give him the reassurance, companionship, and love he craves. Once he feels safe, we think his devoted little personality is really going to shine. Rune''s adoption fee is $500 and includes neuter, microchip, vaccines/deworming/flea treatment current.
