Story
Dolly - ID# 20463 - Kennel #309 - Arrived June 30th - Cocker Spaniel - Buff and Blonde - Female - 6 Months Old - 20 lbs - Estimated Adult Weight 25-35 lbs - Will Be Spayed Prior to Adoption - Up to Date on Vaccines - Heartworm Negative Dolly is a six-month-old buff and blonde purebred Cocker Spaniel with long, silky ears, large soulful eyes, and a soft, feathered coat that is as beautiful as she is. She arrived at Cobb Animal Services on June 30th when her owner became seriously ill and could no longer care for her, and this sweet baby girl is now scared and trying to make sense of a world that changed around her very suddenly. She is just six months old and she deserves so much gentleness right now. Dolly already knows sit and lay down - remarkable for a frightened six-month-old puppy who has just lost everything familiar. Underneath the fear is a good, willing little girl who is already showing what she is made of. The shelter is an overwhelming place for any dog, and especially for a young puppy like Dolly who has never known anything but a home. A calm, quiet environment will make all the difference for her. There is something particularly tender about a puppy this young and this scared finding herself in a shelter through absolutely no fault of her own. Dolly did not choose this. Her owner loved her and circumstances beyond anyone's control brought her here. She deserves a soft place to land - patient hands, a quiet home, and someone who will give her the time and space to discover that the world is still a safe and loving place. Dolly is a beautiful, precious baby girl with her whole life ahead of her. She is waiting in Kennel #309 with those big soulful eyes and that silky blonde coat, hoping someone wonderful is on their way to show her that everything is going to be okay. Come meet her - she needs exactly the right person, and that person will know it the moment they see her. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER. This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136. Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heartworm or combo test and a microchip.

Story
Dolly is not a full blooded cocker spaniel but looks like one. She is 6 months old. Unfortunately my wife has cancer and we cannot have any animals around due to medical equipment attached to her. Dolly needs a family that can show her attention and train her properly. She is a very smart dog. We just do not have the bandwidth to give her the attention she needs
